That IGN video was very disapointing,'particularly because of the physics movement on the ball. Neymar glides way too much, he moves like theres no gravity, like his foots are not fixed on the pitch.

It looks painful watching replays in slow motion.

Other than that I can see that the ball physics are slightly improved, the grass and the lighting are also notably improved. Just look at Neymar taking the corner kick from both sides, you can a nice change of lighting, the reduced brightness on the shadowed side.

Again the biggest positive for me, this is June and look how solid and bug free the game is! Its played on a lower level, or at most Regular and there don't seem to be any issues, remember last year and the 'leaked footage' and look at how comfortable the progress has been, it's good Konami have a hold on this engine now.

Negatives are the same as before, looks too much like PES 2015 and the game doesn't look yet to have moved up a level.



Why where you expecting competitive gameplay to be shown in June when the game is released in 3 months time? When has Konami or EA ever released competitive gameplay so early? Its never happened and never ever will.


Looks the same as PES 2015. Pretty connfident it will essentially play and feel the same. Another year playing PES 5. Such a great game.

My only concern would be the collar type (see that in the screenshots the collar of the red kit has a strange "cut").
If we (you, technically, as I don't plan to play it on PS4) could import kit textures from kitmakers but are just bound to the 4 "edit mode" collars (round, v-neck, lapel round, lapel v-neck) it would be pretty useless.

Has the Master League really been revamped? Judging from the screenshots above it appears they took the existing structure from PES2015 and just changed the menu into a nicer tiled layout.

I see the exact same headings and even the useless bit of text that scrolls across the screen "J. M. CORONA flourishes for FC TWENTE..."
 
That's my biggest takeaway from this video to be honest (not saying that the game will be bad, none of us know without playing it, but it's time for a demo now as far as I'm concerned).

This is clearly pure PES 2015.
From the upgrades they said they did i saw NOTHING!
-3X animations? Pfff...10 animations added (complaining when a foul is not given, and celebrations)
-Ball physics? PFFF ... exacty the linear ball trajectory from PES 2015
-Human motion? PFFF....players are gliding through animation, snapping to the ball.
-Collisions? PFFF...exact the same bottle-colliding thing.

They said that they changed many thing, just to trigger the placebo effect to some people.

This is not even Pes 2015.5. Its exactly PES 2015.
Yup. CPU shoots and scores in the far bottom corner, just like 90% of CPU goals in PES 2015. And it doesn't even look like the defensive compactness issue was fixed.

That gameplay footage of PES 2016 was using an old build. I mean look at the shooting, it looks horrible. Look at that goalkeeper reaction.
 
Some of the video looked good. Passing animations looked nice and it seems to be smoother. Will it look like that on Xbox One though...

And towards the 12-13 minute mark and Neymar scores a diving header, gets up and THEN PAUSES for a second before celebrating. How many years does it take before they fix the pause in celebrating?!

One of the goals Neuer conceded, he dived so slowly across. Don't mind him reacting late because of the low difficulty setting but don't make the dive look half speed. Looks bizarre.

I don't know what else it is but maybe it's how much the arms swing - running/jogging looks quicker than it actually is and almost like they're stuttering a bit. I think it's the arms moving too much?

And yeah...make the nets thicker, not see through - and MAKE THEM MOVE!

Let's wait for some more gameplay videos now :)
 
Also - please make the replays full speed with a button you can press for the optional slow motion!

Also, there should be way more camera options in replays.

There should be two options of different TV broadcast cameras on relpays, that would be great to record goals.

I'm sure this is easy to implement.

The colour, I believe so. But it's the model that worries me.
The "licensed" kits in the data files can use 100+ different collar models, usually edit mode is limited to 4.
I really wish they made all the collar models available in edit mode, this would be a huge leap forward in editing and in keeping the editing community alive (as then both the kitmakers active now and the ones that create png files to import would make kits in the same format). :APPLAUD::APPLAUD::APPLAUD:
 
I provided my thoughts about the defending in particular. I think it's more chaotic than it is "alive". Just like PES 14 and PES 15, the defending still doesn't look right, and it's because there is too much emphasis in over-committing to defending areas, versus letting them gradually be defended.
