PES 2016 News & Discussion Thread

Except for the aerial battles, some new animation and the better lighting, i can't find much difference from PES 2015.

Hope this is an old built and we see something else (in a good way) in gamescom. Just like last year.

Btw that pass on 07:15, is something new?

When will Konami realize that showing the game at a low difficulty makes it look worse? Because of the difficulty, the midfield was a ghost town and the attack build-up was lighting fast.

got a bit hyped after reading about the new ball physics, but after seeing the ign video, they look the same as last year

I actually think it looks really good.. But I seem to be alone in that feeling.. I'll log back in later in the year I guess....

the new pes celebration

Again the biggest positive for me, this is June and look how solid and bug free the game is! Its played on a lower level, or at most Regular and there don't seem to be any issues, remember last year and the 'leaked footage' and look at how comfortable the progress has been, it's good Konami have a hold on this engine now.

Negatives are the same as before, looks too much like PES 2015 and the game doesn't look yet to have moved up a level.

Why where you expecting competitive gameplay to be shown in June when the game is released in 3 months time? When has Konami or EA ever released competitive gameplay so early? Its never happened and never ever will.

The sad thing is that it looks like from this E3 video, "Arcadey" Fifa fixed it this year while Pes didn't

looks alot like 2015 but looks like it plays much better and smoother. The reaction times look much much better. I like the rain effects! Let's hope ONLINE plays well.

Well me playing a lot of 2015 these days, I can surely tell there's a big difference in reactions. It's much more responsive to player input. You could never do these quick moves in 2015 instantly. I like this. I wanted to see more fouls called but hey, it's on some amateur difficulty and the whole point was showboating skills and scoring goals to appeal to specific audience. I took what I want from it so I'm happy :)

That duck celebration though and the images here

Yes the smoothness was my impression too.
I actually liked what I saw all in all except for the duck-like cheering.

The ML has been revamped as they say so there we should be good too.

It's just the PC Version...please don't screw this KONAMI!

The animation looks pretty sweet, that's how I expected PES 2011 to look and feel animation-wise after seeing the Messi-trailer. Took Konami 5 years to fulfill the promise, but I guess better late than never.:))

As to the rest, the graphics look basically like PES 2014 and PES 2015, the shooting looks nicer, it's a bit fast and easy like Fifa-easy, but I guess this is because of exhibition and regular-difficulty-level and early code...

Being more optimistic now, because of the nice animation that also makes the goalkeeper feel more alive.

PES 2015 is actually a good game already any improvements is good for me. I'm guessing most of you guys have very high expectation to this game. I'm just glad because most of the features they added are fan feedback.

Shooting needs to be tougher and gk's better at dealing with long range shots.

Game pisses me off with that, so much good about 2015 but some basics let it down

I like the rain effects on the pitch but the shooting is dead, flat and weightless like last year with bad contextual body-shape with limited shot placement options.

Keepers don't come out far enough off their line either, always to scared to leave his 6 yard box thus making little dink chip finishes awkward to pull off and look good.

Hopefully they can fix these problems before release and I'm really glad Konami are revamping ML as it's the only mode I play.

Ignore him.

I must say I expected worse from that IGN video. Dare I say that is very early build and we will see some improvement albeit not significant.

i hope you are right, cause i was not impressed at all. looked too much like PES 2015 to me.

Seems to me they have taken the FIFA approach. Add new gimmicky stuff to the game but dont bother fixing the fundamentals of the gameplay. Not worth the full price of a new game.

Not impressed.

yup, my feelings exactly.

Same here. Was very happy with 2015, and this looks like an improvement on that. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

That IGN video was very disapointing,'particularly because of the physics movement on the ball. Neymar glides way too much, he moves like theres no gravity, like his foots are not fixed on the pitch.

It looks painful watching replays in slow motion.

Other than that I can see that the ball physics are slightly improved, the grass and the lighting are also notably improved. Just look at Neymar taking the corner kick from both sides, you can a nice change of lighting, the reduced brightness on the shadowed side.

Why are people saying it looks similar to pes 2015? Last year people hated me on this forum, but I think this year pes looks pretty good. The animations are very good, allot of improvements. I do think goalkeepers could be better and it looks very arcade. lets see and wait for the demo.
