PES 2015 Discussion thread. PC

Such an aged game I really starting to feel sick when i play it and I say that as a developer and a gamer, back to FIFA 15 for now.

Starting to feel ive been ripped off ,yes the gameplay is better but why is there no cut scenes like entrance /bookings ? and why are the graphic's inferior to PES 13? don`t believe me have a game on PES 13 and see for yourself . The crowds in PES15 are like PS2 horrible.
Its ok everyone saying best gameplay ever but there is no excuse for Konami being lazy and charging us for a game that has went backwards in every other way. :R1

They must say " THIS IS ONLY ABOUT NEXT GEN CONSOLES " . PC version has nothing with this review .All this talk about good respons and " good old PS2 days " is absoliut ridiculous . Even if you do not count that signature things from PS2 era who removed now as as super cancel , Shot + R1 loop and more ... this game has little to do with the old classics like PES 5 and PES 6 . Is it good or bad game? ? Still too early to say , but what I can say now is that the PC version has a very cheap form, beginning from the box so you get to the fact that there are no instructions book in the box , just a stupid piece paper with printed code for Steam .

I feel that way too. I don't see or feel anything in this game that makes me feel that it's moved on much at all since 10 years ago. There's certainly no next-gen, brand new feeling here, even 2 generations on. Pro Stagnation Soccer.

Having bought a PS4 a few months ago specifically to play FIFA & PES, I found the PES demo so uninspiring that I haven't bought it. I was considering opting for the PC version (even though my old laptop can barely cope, even at low detail) in the hope that perhaps you were going to be able to conjour up some salvation, but I wouldn't blame you if you can't be bothered any more.

Now that I was starting to really enjoy this game...

Steam kill the patches, the only solution is... "i can´t tell here"
PES Edit patch from PES 2014 is not so good at all.
PES 2015 needs a Bundesliga with 18 Teams, KONAMI Delete the 2nd Division, that's only you got expected.

so this was official words from konami about PC vs Next gen difference.

• Elapsed time – Show brightness/shadow change from real time lighting according to the match time of day
• Crowd improvement – Crowd variety to be increased by 10 times
• Player lighting to be improved through differed rendering
• Improved shirt quality – Weave variety added
• Enhance depth of field

none of that really matters when you play the game. stop crying about it.

why steam blocked pes 2015 in my country ?
any thoughts ?
is it permanent or temporary?
I downloaded demo and want to buy tomorrow :/

Nonsense, Steam won't be a problem for patches. The only thing that might be a bit annoying is the release of DLCs.

Right...is it just me or does the Demo look much nicer than the actual game? The lighting seems to be much brighter and colors aren't as washed out. Player responses also feel better to me. Can someone try it out and confirm.

That tiny bugs soon or later will be fixed.
People if wanna so badly report on steam.
Yair Will give us a shine trick for us soon. :SMUG:

Don't hold your breath, I waited ages for them to fix a few bugs(controls related) on PES2014 last year. Waited and waited and after playing it in it's state, I just let the disc gather dust. Given that it's pretty much out now that PC is the last priority for them, all of their focus will go towards fixing issues on the PS4/XBoxOne versions first and foremost.

I know people are pining for the modding community to fix their issues be it gameplay or graphical, but I don't think it's necessary to put them on the kosh saying everything will get sorted by them.

Modding will take time and we should just let modders naturally do whatever they want to do with the game in their time.

Modders could be you or me, so if you're passionate about the game and wanting to improve it, I do recommend you guys get involved with modding and share your mods/fixes. As Skyrim has shown, there's always room for new modders.

P.S - Just noticed the screenshots on the PES Steam page, is it just me or did they use screenshots from the PS4/XboxOne versions there?

by release of every football game i ask myself: is it gonna be patched 5 or 10 years from now? more importantly am I gonna play this 5 or 10 years from now ? and the answer is always NO ! back to WE9LE and PES6 again.

I will hold my breath, i know very much how konami gives us last year. :R1
I will never forget.

after finally getting pes 15 to work stutter free, and after a few games the excitement began to wear off...the game is ok, the points about graphics are valid, I too care more about gameplay but the pitches are a joke, the lod is really bad, modders are the only ones who can save this game like they did pes 13.

I really don't want to go back to pes 13 (not sure when the servers go down?), so its a case of wait and see. the potential is there, juce, jenkey, yair, nesa et all. we need you! lol

How is the online bit? I've got regular broadband (23ms ping, 11.2mb download and 0.77mb up) will that be good enough? Is it dependant on Konami server? cause pes 13 is sometimes lag free but more often then not i get lags...so is it the game or time to upgrade my broadband?

I can understand people complaining about this year's offering (I owned every PES from ISS Deluxe to 10 or 11 before moving to Fifa in disgust), but after playing this year's Fifa demo, I'm definitely enjoying PES a lot more than I did that. I guess what I'm saying is the choices aren't exactly massive; not like the 90s when you had all kinds of pretenders to the throne rising up alongside PES and Fifa. Of the two, Fifa have come the furthest (in terms of gameplay) in the shortest time, while Konami continue to get by just applying a band-aid to their problems: people have been saying this since PES 4 even!

All that said, I think PES improved enough ( purely on the field; the all-round presentation and package remain a disgrace) that I'm enjoying how it plays a lot more than Fifa this year. Could be the time I took out, but to me it just plays better: less arcadey, more tactical, but still a lot of fun.

Life's too short to have loyalty to one game, this time next year I'll be weighing up my options again!

The underlined words speaks 100% the truth. For me this is the PES ive been waiting for since 2008. Its deep tactical game which requires first of all PATIENCE. Play good defence cover space and when you get the ball dont rush forward. I'am in love with the vertical camera, so good this year, feels like i am really playing a real football match. Absolutely loving it!

My settings are:
-Full manual passing
-Vertical camera
-Unassisted cursor
-Superstar difficulty

Ive started a master league with Torino and i am trying to build a good defensive formation (5-4-1 when without the ball and 3-6-1 when i have the ball, fluid formation) . As for tactics i pick mainly conservative options like short passing, possesion, few players on attack, medium numbers in defence, deep and wide defensive line. And it works just like as i want, i dont care so much about possesion but i try to frustrate the opponent with my defence and when they are tired then i keep most of the possesion until the end of the match.

Do you like this game, do you really think a game in 2014 should look and feel like this one? where is the depth? why not using the latest technology and produced a full package game?I'm taking about the ps4 version as well

I think the game is horrible

R1 Test

A waste of time and money.
The animation tech is so dated

Are u playing both ? Yes ? PC version is complete unresponsive and awareness mess , i'm not sure is it the same as consoles .

They made the game on PC, and just simple remove things from PC and port like this.
PS4 was the first to be ported.
They already have all DLC's in Japan as happen to PES 2014.

few more games played and a few things ive noticed

good points:

- clearances feel nice and heavy, sort of a 'phew' moment when you clear
- shots feel good although there is a tendency to hit the bar :s or just a coincidence

- option to set match time (don't know if this was in pes 14?)

negatives:
- through balls are too easy, but they dont always result in a goal (maybe I'm still getting used to and learning the art of finishing) I think the game compensates for the ease at which strikers find space by making the defenders run back faster i.e. catchup bug, and the striker slowing down like he is almost hesitant which for star players shouldnt be the case and even so not happen each and every time

-commentary has been applied a band aid, i.e. recycled completely and a few sentences and player names added, sometimes its quite obvious it has been recorded years later that the voice changes completely e.g. sometimes when he says Balotelli, completely amateur in my opinion

- lod is so low can barely tell who the players are and this is on 1080p, so bad ive had to turn on player names on cursor position so im sure of who im controlling

- responsiveness is good i guess, less rails i think, but players do feel quite bogged down (cant explain better in words, its a feeling)

- some animations are ridiculously fast, like i tried a really hard through ball and the defender intercepted by backheeling it perfectly to a team mate while running back facing his own goal...without stopping the ball! either his got eyes on his back to see the ball coming at such speed and unbelievable skill/balance to pull off a perfect backheel!

still think there is hope, konami patches rarely fix anything gameplay wise if i remember correctly (pes 13 - long time back now lol) so even if they don't release any, modders have a good base to work from...if the presentation bit was improved, licenses, lod, and maybe even fifa commentary (asking too much i know lol), then I could live with this game :D

Having tried both PS4 and PC versions, there is a definite lack of responsiveness on the PC version. It's not huge, but it is definitely there. Other than that I can't notice any difference really. Obviously the graphics are another issue, but I can deal with those for the sake of a fully modded game.

I'm not sure what to think about PES2015. On one hand the gameplay is quite solid and so far pretty enjoyable, but on the other hand the production values and depth of the all-round package are nowhere near acceptable in 2014.

At first glance the game does look and feel far too much like PES2014. It's still a bit clunky and 'on-rails' at times, but fortunately many of the issues that made me vehemently dislike last year's game have been overcome or at least improved in PES2015. Responsiveness, shooting, crossing - all improved. Individuality is much more noticeable which is what it's all about for me. On the pitch, the game is moving forward at least and that's all that matters, right?

I'm not sure.

The all-round package is so inconsistent, and, in some areas downright shoddy, that I have to pinch myself to ask if this is a game from 2014. Content keeps going missing for no reason (stadia?) and no entrance scenes which is completely daft. Then there's the commentary which needs nuking from orbit. It's embarrassing.

The graphics, while perfectly serviceable, are appalling by modern PC standards. Graphical options are non-existent....again. I have every faith the modders can make the PC version the best-looking one, but it shouldn't have to be this way.

PES needs an overhaul in so many areas but after all these years I'm not seeing any signs that it will ever happen. The Fox engine promised so much but is delivering so little in the hands of PES Productions. They seem content to plod along with the same core gameplay engine, changing things up each year, sometimes getting it right, often not.

Without real change to drag PES kicking and screaming into the 21st century, Konami are "rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic", as the saying goes. In the end, futile.

+1

PS3 - No cutscenes, poor graphics, gameplay nealy as PS4 and XBOX One.
PS4 - cutscenes, better graphics, better gameplay, no Logo Slots for all.
PC - No cutscenes, worst graphics, gameplay nealy poor (not worse then PES 2014).
XBOX ONE - Cutscenes, better graphics, better gameplay.
XBOX 360 - The same as PS3.

How you nerdy KONAMI is to make 5 different games.
Next time is the consumers put this game on judgment.
This is so embarrasing and rude.

PRO EVO Facebook promisse a demo on Steam and Offline Retail version.
Only release the demo before 13 on steam, and makes others buy the game before.
Retail version is a stupid key.

Congratulations.

Guys I'm sorry for asking again, but does somebody have a solution for the black bars on non-widescreen monitors?

Change the GPU to 1280x720 and play the game with 1280x720 16:9 on the pes settings.exe
