I heard Adam talking on a video recently - I think it was gameplay recorded with an Arabic site - and it sounded like you could edit the number of teams in the fake Asian league. If so, that would make me happy since I'd like to create the A-League which has 10 teams (one team is already there via the ACL).

Whilst I'm a Juventus fan, I think it would be cool to start a Master League with one of the lesser teams in the Serie A and be able to move my way up to a better team such as Juventus. But we still don't have any real info on the modes...I assume the game has gone gold or is very close to it by now so why can't we hear all the mode details? lol

I can not understand why Konami for years not invest for smaller Europen leagues like Polish League, Greece, Turkey etc
I agree it would be good to have variety (I'd like to be able to play in the Hungarian, Australian, South Korean or Japanese leagues for example) but I believe that at the moment they already made a very good job of adding more teams... Argentiniam teams for example are a very welcomed addition, and we both know that Konami cannot satisfy all the requests (because I would like to have Hungarian teams, you would like to have Polish ones, someone else would ask Romanian league, or Swedish league, or maybe Egyptian or Saudi leagues)... That simply can't be done by Konami alone.
The only way we could achieve something like that is having Konami allow adding entire fan-made leagues but again I don't know how likely it is...

Asked Adam before if J-League DLC was possible for PES and how technical is it to have them used in ML. Still awaiting response. Just being hopeful.

Thanks Lami, You're great!! But I still believe that they will follow PES 2013 route where only the Japanese one can play with the J League (Either free download to get the teams for exhibition only, or buy the DLC to have the teams for Master League)

Call me optimistic, but I hope the lack of news coming out is because of them finalizing the details with some teams/leagues to have their licenses in and know what they can have with regards to the edit mode.

I remember them trying to say that they want to make the edit mode even bigger this time, but with EA and the license fiasco, they might have to tone it down

Cool, let's remove every league except the Spanish one then.

Ridiculous mindset.

No no, no need for the whole Spanish league, Barca and Real should be enough xD

But seriously, been playing like 500 games, 499 against Barca or Real, its just sad :(

You know i don't expect to much like 30 leagues like in Fifa but for good sake 12-14 it's not so much. Pes have to invest for small Europen leagues. Ok i can understand they don't have money for Premier League, Bundesliga etc but for Greece League, Turkey, Polish? Cmon ;) For example in Poland Fifa 13 sold 500 thousand copies and i don't see Konami without invest money can compete in my country with EA. If they want compete with EA in Europe they have to step by step invest money for smaller leagues.

I think a reason Konami doesn't go for too many leagues because with their game so heavily stat based, it'd take forever to get the correct stats for all the players. Then people will just complain how this team doesn't feel like their real counter-part, or so many generic faces, etc.

Konami needs to hire more people to create such stats and players (maybe give all our wonderful mods a shout) before they go and create so many leagues.

*edit* CalcioCalabrese beat me to it

all the flaws of the demo have been mentioned. if konami address them then it's gonna be the greatest footie game of all time, provided game modes are good fun and it doesn't take 3 hours to skip cutscenes in the masterleague.

I personally hate replays and highlights and that is really getting on my nerves because it makes no sense to score a screamer and then have shitty replay and boring highlighs. But i am fine with a sound and deep gameplay this time around.

Looking at one of Bitter's goals earlier where he scored an 89th minute equaliser, I'm going to change to a foreign commentator I think. There should be no way that the in-game commentary is so monotone and flat-sounding when a long range equaliser is scored so late in the game.

If it was a real match on TV, the commentator would be going crazy. Instead, the PES commentator might as well be telling us that the price of tomatoes has dropped 5p in Asda this week.

A quick note on the catch up bug.

From my experience with the demo, I think it's down to the input lag.

If i sprint past a player cleanly with Ribery, they don't catch me but when playing him in with a through ball or trying to knock the ball ahead with first touch, the defender appears to start sprinting first and therefore catch up. We'll see next week with the proper demo but I think it's down to the fact the R1 button press isn't recognised quickly enough. It's the same after changing player.

Posting this question again for anyone who has played the demo:

Does PES now have the possibility to alter the dribble speed of a player, or the general movement speed, by tilting the stick to varying degrees?

This is something I've wanted in PES, well, since FIFA implemented it. When you play fixed to one player, say in Be A Legend mode, it always feels stiff and weird to only be able to stand still or move at a normal pace. It would be nice if they now also have analog dribble pace by how far you tilt the stick in the direction you are moving. That way if you are a lazy striker up top, you can conserve stamina, and look authentic, by just lazily walking around in no real hurry.

Nope.

And don't worry too much about conserving stamina........

I brought my tomatoes last week, that is really bad, they should have a sign up that they will be reduced the next week....I would have waited. :((

Is pes big in Australia calcio?

Not as big as Fifa unfortunately. The EPL gets the most coverage on TV here and naturally most football gamers I know just want to play that straight out of the box.

As much as some people like to argue the point about licenses, most people I know don't want to spend the extra time finding the right option file and d/l etc...

I managed to get some people over to PES but it didn't take long for them to go back with the sub-standard games that Konami was releasing on the PS3.

looking forward to the demo!!
