Game looks really good.

But in the France-England game, the French CB check back allowing Welbeck to run freely through for the goal.

That's poor defensive AI and out of control of the player like 2012/3..

Cautiously waiting for game release and we will see how the AI boost works in competitive modes.

Agree. It looks nothing like PES2013 to me.
Only 'not so good' video from today was official Konami trailer imo. I guess the animations look not that great in close view. But i'm ok with that if they look good on wide cam, like on all the gameplay videos.

yeah definately agree with the trailer, animations were very dissappointing but i guess it was about the atmosphere of what will be coming into the game which is what i liked , im also a big fan of wide cam and this years game hits the spot.

The way the demo was raped last year, I understand Konami's decision. It's a form of piracy, plain and simple.

Yes and no. What happened with the demo last year didn't change the fact that the player was still limited to friendlies only. You still had to buy the game to get access to modes. Therefore I'm not sure how many PES fans were content with playing endless friendlies for 12 months.

Those that want to play the game will still buy it or get it by 'other means', as has always been the case.

Isn't it obvious? Konami has been postponing official demo news since July. Yesterday EA goes public with FIFA's demo date and several details about FIFA 14 in all of its versions and all of a sudden Konami has every detail about the Demo ready to go public and (what are the odds) both demos come out on the same date...

Konami is starting to make me sick.

I watched the Boca-Colo video. What on earth is up with the lack of fouls? Barging players off the ball and nothing is called.

There are two or three clear times when the player pushed off the ball makes the animation where he is clearly moved off and knocked off balance, and yet nothing is called. Really disappointing and far from real football. :(

Do you know about this video?

That worries me a bit, as the lack of fouls pisses me the fuck off in PES 2013 and the last 3 or 4.

Yeah i've noticed that too. It looks like only way to make a foul is sliding tackle. I haven't seen any other fouls.

this one is played against the AI and you can see clearly that they are very much like pes 2013, for me this is a big let down because I play pes mainly offline against the AI.

hmm it looked pretty good... at 510 the ai plays around the back

I don't understand how this cannot be rectified with this new engine. There are lots of standing tackle/jostling fouls in every match you see.

I asked Adam on twitter almost a week back, and never heard a response.

Look it's the FIFA Pose :D

Doesn't it look and play just like the 2 others we've seen? Don't see much difference tbh. Did you think the same about the others?

Video is ace, I don't know how can somebody think, that it resembles PES 2013. No way. For me at least.

Bring in delayed demo.

have you ever seen Copa Libertadores matches IRL?
you practically have to murder your opponent to get a yellow card

EDIT: yes hopefully they fix the foul thing, it was mental in the past few PES years

I have just made the decision to not give a **** about the demo and to order buy the PC version of PES 2014. How was I kidding earlier with the "oh no I needed to test the demo bla bla bla". I might or might criticize the game later but I 'll buy it for sure.

Same here.. it was just not procedurally complete without a demo :P

What difference does it make whether the demo comes out before or after the PC release? Anyone who plans on using the demo to decide if they want to buy the game can wait two days, and can also read user reviews in the meantime. No big deal.

As for fouls, they are easily fixed on FIFA by globally lowering speed, agilty, balance, strength and tackle ratings. After edits, I was getting 15-25 fouls and 6-8 cards a game called against the CPU, so many I had to cut back on my edits to make the game less foul-crazy. No doubt PES works the same way.

Keepers seem a bit too cool about certain wide shots in the videos. A ball may go just outside the post and the Keeper usually looks like he knew all along there was no danger.
