before you say only 'animation' but anyway, for me, pes 2013 is 40% game, the other 60% is not there, it is missing. no animation, no physical battles, no air game (long balls and header is broken), no game modes
but, the 40% that is there is good, for me. it's not a 'bad' game, it's a good game but with lots and lots missing (too much)

For me the Animations are ok, long way behind FIFA in PES 2013 but they are good for the technology available, the keeper animations sometimes ok, something just diabolically shit, physical tussles in game balance great but not so much the actual animation depth.
Long Balls are ok, Heading is very good, varied, the physically tussles could be better.
I need t upload some of the great headed goals I've scored.
Thats marketing for you, if you have ever worked in PR, Marketing or sales you will understand the bullshit.
I'm surprised you haven't built up a filter for this sort of stuff.
I've worked in companies which i sold stuff i know nothing whatsoever about.

I hope that PES 2014 won't just offer a revolution regarding graphics and animation/physics and for the rest be like PES 2013. That would be a huge disappointment for me.
The things I don't like in PES 2013 and hope they get majorly improved or fixed in PES 2014:
1. Obvious cheating on top-player and superstar-level in singleplayer-competition-games.
2. On-rail-moments when off the ball.
3. Lack of a realtime two-tiered-stamina/fatigue-system.
4. Horrendous playerswitching on semi-cursor, when making passes into space, often the wrong player is selected and you can't change that wrong decision.

and yes you should show some heading goals. i think most of your goals will have 2 players standing still before touching the ball

There was nothing wrong with pes 13 graphics, infact it is the one thing that fifa and pes fans agreed on pes dominated at. Its the fact it lacked animations, modes and physics etc that has put down pes. Nothing wrong with pes 14 looking like an upgraded version of pes 13 if they do fix the issues that it has. With fox engine they will not have any excuse as "limitations" in play and surely with next-gen they will have more freedom to what current gen can offer.

Oh, my friend, you cannot be that naive to believe this.
As long as they don't breech any written contracts which leaves them liable to pay compensation for false advertisement, companies will say whatever they can get away with to sell a product. That is for squeaky clean nice companies.
Breaking the rules is almost standard even for a decent company.
Build a filter to PR bullshit, don't get dragged in by what they say and take it as truth.

Man the negatives are what they are but this makes me want to just not log in, look at the positives, yes they said new game, maybe they are doing the shit Seabass was supposed to do, all Fifa's are a follow up to the previous versions that's why they are a series. I have every Winning Eleven and PES to date,and every Fifa, i also have Football Kingdom. I just want the game to improve every year. If when i buy it it's crap then i won't play it as i did with 08-12, 13 never got much play but i have faith.

The game veers from brilliant to rage inducing. Started a new ML last week with Valencia, first three games were awesome, I won 1, drew 1, lost 1. Next came the most bizarre match where the ball again passed through defender's bodies, my keeper fumbled an easy shot then knocked over my nearest defender, leaving an open goal. Probably didn't help that I played on the Wednesday, then eight players played an international on the Friday, then I had to play again on the Saturday. And seven of my starting eleven were shattered and on purple arrows.
Cheating needs to be sorted on the higher levels, ML arrows and fixtures fixed, then I'll be happy enough

Seems like the catch-up "bug" will be present in 2014 too:
the Bayern player slows down in the first Gif
allows defender to catch him.the animation is spot on, slows down from his sprint, sorts out his feet to meet the ball before the cross.

Hmmm I hope not and I don't think so. Ribery slows down on purpose to get to the ball on time, and send it into the box with only one touch.

In the first .gif, Ribéry should continue to run until he reaches the ball. There's a high chance the Santos player can win the ball there. If this scene happened IRL, Bayern fans would accuse Ribéry of not offering a good enough performance.
In the second one, any decent keeper would extend their arms in those situations, not this half-assed attempt. But well, is the same bad animation, present since several years ago.

Yeah, we all know your adventures in ML that´s why i made that joke
Here´s what i do to prevent the problem with the arrows that is, indeed, completely random. First i turn off the auto-save and only save games after a match, never before a match. I consider a purple arrow as a minor injury and for that reason i sub the player before the game. If my team have more than 2 players with purple arrow in the starting team i just load the save and simulate the week before the game. I usually accept one purple and three blue arrows in the starting team. Maybe if you do that way you can at least minimize the random arrow problem.

Absolute and utter horse shit. The amount of vairation of long balls on PES2013 is far more than any other PES game. You can make low and high trajectory using the R2 buttons. Crosses can also be whipped in across field which is something PES struggled.
As far as tussling for the ball goes that is related to the physics engine and doesn't exost in PES yet. PES2014 and the Havok engine has adressed this.
As for game modes rermoving league mode and international challenge was daft but didn't break the game altogether- there is plenty to play.
Its ironic you call konami lairs and go do the same.
PS henrys hand - your 2 tier stamina system you been banging on that drum since PES4 - aint gonna happpen cancel that pre order now. As for the player switching please make a video and explain what your issue is. There is something wrong with your control / copy of the game or your fingers.

PES 2013 was a great game. People are too quick to jump to conclusions and try to blow the negatives(which it has)out of proportion. I had minimal issues with AI, Keepers or my defensive organisation. Did I encounter certain glitches, sure. Did the AI force a goal once or twice, sure. But as I got to know the game better and its intricacies, I adapted my style and managed to have many enjoyable matches and score stunning goals.
PES 2014 represents a new step toward a more advanced version of Football. A brand new engine is being used, there will be glitches, just like with every other game ever made. But until you physically sit and play either the Demo or the Full version of PES 2014 nobody can sit on their chair and make blanket statements about things which they are yet to experience. I hope that PES2014 provides me with a fun experience of a sport I have always enjoyed physically participating in.
Read previews, read reviews but realise that the best judge is yourself. Whether the game is fun is up to your interpretation, nobody else`s. Games that somebody else loves, you may not enjoy and vice versa. Still hopeful of Demo date soon, and hopeful that PES and Fifa keep pushing each other forward.

I agreed and was happy with what you are saying, at least be able to answer all of the opinions that still cast doubt on the presence of the King this year. Demos and personal experience is absolutely necessary to see the best side of a game. KONAMI has its own characteristic in the development of the game they make, though in recent years this I not the active user PES, but PES is really great and I while it concludes that greatness has been started this year.
