I don't give a shit about nets. There are so many great things in that video.Especially,ı am glad that players have proper weights and do not turn like fly when they being out off position..That's my f..ing priority after Fifa 13..

Net fetishism has been a long-running staple of the Evo-Web community. I'm surprised people expect any different.

The guy registered in 09 and possibly even followed the site from before, you'd think one would know different but I guess not.
Nets 4 Life (and I ain't talking about the NBA team).

They are a staple of the PES community for a (very) long time, but I tend to forget them because they got the decency to tone it down a bit when there where way bigger things to be concerned about.

But every now and then they gang-up and it's a disgusting thing to look at.

Oh, and you instantly know when irony is in place. And the majority was being dead-serious. There's even worse people @WENB saying they're not even buying the game because of that, but that's a different nutcase all-together.

I think to get nets right is very important, not as important as animations, gameplay, controls or AI, but right after all these nets should be the next important thing, because shooting-satisfaction depends on the reaction of the net. Sure ballphysics and shot-variety is even more important, but the reaction of the nets just follows right there.

Having a metal-cage-reaction for the net is a real downer. Sure, some top-leagues use rigid nets, still some freedom can be taken and a net-reaction be implemented that is the most satisfactory, and surely a rigid net is the worst for feeling.

And there is really no excuse for Konami to not do it right right away with PES 2014. This is a new engine with little limitations and even less excuses. No more next year-nonesense. Konami should order a programmer or two to take a day or two, or even a week or two, to implement satisfactory net-physics.

I can't emphasize enough how important good net-physics are for shooting-satisfaction.

i dont care for nets, to me they are not important. but when people talk for nets i can skip, and look for other pes conversation. its okay. but i dont like when people say "this is not important to me, stop talking about it". please, everybody does enjoy pes game for many reason, please do not tell what others should or not talk for. if this happen for every topic people would say "stop talking about animations... faces... boots... grass... physic..." everything. please allow for people to talk about what they care for in the game of pes. thank you

I still notice some stutter (stop-start) bug between animations. That's been annoying since PES 2008 and I can still see it on PES 2014 on these slow motion videos. Hopefully it won't be noticeable in gameplay speed.

So many concerns over these last few years with the actual game and people keep bring up nets as a valid point of concern. The PES community can look so childish sometimes...

Speak for yourself. What one part of online community deems important may not be the same thing another group of the community deems important. Everybody has their opinions and if Nets are one of the major gripes, then so be it. Personally, I care much more deeply about the mechanics in the gameplay department.

Someone asked Adam if Havok technology would be used for net physics as well. He replied with "No, why would it. what a waste of that tech would be." Goes to show its not a priority.

What a abhorrent way to answer a legitimate question. If anything that answer shows that he has no clue as to how tech is implemented. It's rather sad.

ffs  lighten up man. Not buying the game because of nets and you really think those people are serious ??? If they're buying or not buying, you can be 1000% sure that it won't be because of the nets.

And I did, I was speaking about those that do it.

@kouroux If only. Someone that barely posted or maybe even created an account especially to say that surely isn't trolling?

@Adam_Bhatti Hi Adam. Great vid. Game looks ace for current gen. Q: Is there an option to turn off the reticle for advanced through passes?

Adam Bhatti ‏@Adam_Bhatti 2h
@ehbkm yes, you can turn all those icons off

:APPLAUD:

No, but it's 2013 and if a football game can't model nets convincingly then questions have to be asked.

Such as "who cares?" :D

Lol I joke, they should have fixed it by now because of demand but I personally don't even notice tbh. I guess if they were good I would, that rhymes, zang! :)

Penny Arcade 2013: The Interviews on Vimeo

PES 14 impressions WHILE playing. Just click on the Title above the video to go to Vimeo to watch it. It's harder to fake live impressions convincingly. Bear that in mind.

Also.... Apparently, this happened:

Konami ‏@Konami 39m

#PES2014 received a #gamescom "Best Sports Game" nomination! RT to support your favorite football game! pic.twitter.com/Pt4xly4PvS

because grammy actor have tv show and movie already out, no? i think gamescon just give nomination to every sport game just for being there. no big deal

I think net fetishists have every right to discuss their favourie topic, ironical or deadly serious. So let's give them a thread to do it. And why not an Adam Bhatti thread too ? Both these ( absurd) new threads would make this one more readable and enjoyable for the persons who don' t have those obsessions.

Can I have I special thread aswell for those still extremly ugly goalkeeper gloves ?!?! ;)

But I also think for some topics extra threads would be a great idea... :D

Creating the account doesn't necessarily mean the poster wouldn't have been following this beautiful forum of ours for a long time.
Or maybe they just wanna follow on the joke. You can be right as someone are pure trolls and generally Lami and co deal with them well.

How do you know that not what they want from him?.
How do you know they didn't tell him to keep acting like he was "one of us"?.

He's been acting like that eversince he got that job and eversince the first news and round of images of PES 2014 appeared. If they didn't want him to answer like that, I guess they would have already straightened him up.

If they haven't done so by now, it only leaves me to think they don't have a problem with it, or they actually want him to take that attitude.

Or that they really care about the fans to a certain point.
