Net fetishism has been a long-running staple of the Evo-Web community. I'm surprised people expect any different.
I think to get nets right is very important, not as important as animations, gameplay, controls or AI, but right after all these nets should be the next important thing, because shooting-satisfaction depends on the reaction of the net. Sure ballphysics and shot-variety is even more important, but the reaction of the nets just follows right there.
Having a metal-cage-reaction for the net is a real downer. Sure, some top-leagues use rigid nets, still some freedom can be taken and a net-reaction be implemented that is the most satisfactory, and surely a rigid net is the worst for feeling.
And there is really no excuse for Konami to not do it right right away with PES 2014. This is a new engine with little limitations and even less excuses. No more next year-nonesense. Konami should order a programmer or two to take a day or two, or even a week or two, to implement satisfactory net-physics.
I can't emphasize enough how important good net-physics are for shooting-satisfaction.
I still notice some stutter (stop-start) bug between animations. That's been annoying since PES 2008 and I can still see it on PES 2014 on these slow motion videos. Hopefully it won't be noticeable in gameplay speed.
So many concerns over these last few years with the actual game and people keep bring up nets as a valid point of concern. The PES community can look so childish sometimes...
Someone asked Adam if Havok technology would be used for net physics as well. He replied with "No, why would it. what a waste of that tech would be." Goes to show its not a priority.
They are a staple of the PES community for a (very) long time, but I tend to forget them because they got the decency to tone it down a bit when there where way bigger things to be concerned about.
But every now and then they gang-up and it's a disgusting thing to look at.
Oh, and you instantly know when irony is in place. And the majority was being dead-serious. There's even worse people @WENB saying they're not even buying the game because of that, but that's a different nutcase all-together.
Speak for yourself. What one part of online community deems important may not be the same thing another group of the community deems important. Everybody has their opinions and if Nets are one of the major gripes, then so be it. Personally, I care much more deeply about the mechanics in the gameplay department.
No, but it's 2013 and if a football game can't model nets convincingly then questions have to be asked.
People get Grammy Nominations before the Grammy's right?but gamescom hasnt started?
The net does not look like steel cage as in fifa.. it is just much more tight than PES 2013 and the ball still bounces as it should. acceptable to me..
And I did, I was speaking about those that do it.
@kouroux If only. Someone that barely posted or maybe even created an account especially to say that surely isn't trolling?
How do you know that not what they want from him?.
How do you know they didn't tell him to keep acting like he was "one of us"?.
He's been acting like that eversince he got that job and eversince the first news and round of images of PES 2014 appeared. If they didn't want him to answer like that, I guess they would have already straightened him up.
If they haven't done so by now, it only leaves me to think they don't have a problem with it, or they actually want him to take that attitude.
