PES 2014 Discussion Thread

Piracy is always terrible on PC, but is completely atrocious on PES. It's so bad I could say a 90% of PC copies are pirated.

However, there could be a couple of reasons for this bad situation.

Currently PES is a game which doesn't offer a huge online incentive to buy it (lack of modes, lag, cheaters, etc). Apart from that, it's not Konami but the modding community who tries to provide the best content via patches (leagues, kits, players, stadiums, HD mods, SFX), so you end up in a situation where the modders deserve the income more than Konami, because the latter simply doesn't care enough about PC. They just release the game and call it a day.

Hope PES 2014 will change things, but that "later PC release" says otherwise...

A Steam only release is the way forward for PES, It doesn't seriously affect the mod-ability of the game but will at least go some way to keeping piracy in check.

As much as I love PC gaming, piracy is rife and those responsible are the reason why the PC isn't taken seriously as platform by many developers. Why invest time and money into optimising for the PC when your work will be ripped and freely distributed?

The Chilean league has been confirmed, in the grand scheme of things its a small update but its the little things that count and I'm looking forward to new experiences with these new leagues.

The last two years KONAMI did very good presentation of the game with 2 demos, early demo etc...

This year i don't understand why they change their tactic...

We are in holidays and every day we are trying to find internet for demo's news...And for the released day of the full game on PC..

I quote to reformulate with "let's be honest, does it mean something if ML doesn't guarantee a good experience with D2 divisions relegations/promotions?"
I'm not a ML prominent fan, so i couldn't care less if they remove it, but before implementing managing changes, I would care about D2 teams.

Let's just have The English Premier League, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Inter and Milan.....and do away with all the other teams.

I had all original PES for PC and PS2. Take off 0.1%.

I hope Konami remembers a Champions League for Americas, Africa and Oceânia.
And a good add new teams and players, with the newest editor we don´t need tools.
Bring back the classic FIFA 2002 on PS2 but with the classic editor.

I play it, is a nice change of pace.

Of course gameplay is king but it's a good edition.

Infact, I ask myself why "alternative plans" when they have the chance to make game unplayable if modded?
I hope all of this mystery is due to restrictions and a balanced facilitator in editing. I can't see how people could waste their time with demeaning editing limits.
