Well I just played my first game in Ml offline as Sampdoria on superstar 1 bar passing. I really took a severe ass whupping against Fiorentina.

I had to put the speed back to -1, I couldn't string 3 passes together without a midfield of mad ninja like players on me. Everywhere I turned they were there hassling me, I must have only got 2 attacks the whole game.

As you were saying I was also winning the leagues with the last patch but these guys pissed on me 4-0 and it could have been 8. If I had have left it on 0 speed it would have been embarrassing.

They must have hit the bar 5 or six times, but in saying that it was still enjoyable but difficult which is good.

I don't think Sampdoria will be renewing my contract at the end of the season at this rate, if I don't improve rapidly I could be relegated.

The difficulty of the game has gone up massively. I also play on manual, but I know this season will be a challenge. Won three different titles in my 3 seasons on Superstar with ease. This season won't be the same.

Great news. Thanks for sharing. Now let's hope that the Konami management geniuses release this patch for PC.
 
My review about Patch 1.10 on PS3 (sorry for my English)

I do not like this patch however there is very good stuff...

The good one :
- More responsiveness tackles
- The goalkeepers are better
- The ball physics with more variations
- Improved collisions
- A very good referee, no whistles for nothing
- The strong shoots take more height
- Passes can be much more long

The bad (very bad) one :
- On long goal kick the striker can make easily a depth pass header for the second striker and score on a face to face with the goalkeeper.
- When the defense gets the ball and shoot ahead to clear, your striker will ben often in the offside position, very painful.
- The goalkeepers do more automatic run and shoot directly in throw in.

i'm really disappointed :(

About World Challenge, only have World Cup and Qualifying round to World Cup.
Not even a Online mod at all, or after we pay it, we can able to play it online.
No sence at all.

Shooting is more powerful but are the ball trajectories varied? I saw a gameplay video yesterday from the new patch and it seems to still move in a straight line from shots without any swerve or dip. I still don't like how the animations finish abruptly. I'm just talking about the video here as I've only played the demo. Hoping to have my gripes removed for PES 2015 as I still much prefer the fundamentals in PES to FIFA.
 
I usually don't expect too much from these patches, and whenever people come on the forums after one and say how much this or that has changed, I usually find these "changes" to be almost completely the placebo effect. Needless to say I am truly surprised how much the game has really (I mean really) changed with this patch. For me, it might be the most a sports game has changed with a patch that I've ever seen. What I've noticed:

- They've fixed one of my biggest issues with the game: the dribbling. To this point, dribbling (without r1) has been plodding, sluggish, with turning being extremely slow. You almost had to completely rely on r1 for everything - to be able to move with any kind of pace, to turn, etc. Now, you can actually turn and move without r1, smoothly, quickly... it reminds me of PES 2011 (minus the tank like turning of defenders)

- Similar to the change movement on offense, change of direction on defense is now so much smoother and easier. Despite the fact that you can now move freer on offense, the game I just played (human v human) the offense was completely stifled because of better movement on defense. That, and:

- Passing has also changed, specifically through balls. On 2 bars at least, both regular and high through balls are much more manual, requiring you to put the right amount of power on the ball to hit the forward making the run down the middle or the full back running down the wing. One of the biggest problems I had with this game was how easy it was to through ball cheese, a problem which seems to be fixed.

There are still problems that haven't been fixed - referees, keepers taking ridiculous angles when you bring them out... but this is a major step forward. I recommend anyone who has gotten frustrated with the game (like I have, to the point of buying FIFA) give it another try with this patch. Consider me stunned that Konami actually came through like this!

All those bad points were the pre patch already

I really fucking hate that offside from goal kicks - is to do with high d-lines that someone did a youtube video on. Konami need to adress how the defence moves. They obviously go for the realistic player movement but need to realise in real life the defence has atleast 6 seconds to set itself.

more im playing this game iv noticing alot of stutter in animations especially when ur sprinting, not impressed at all, starting to see the old niggles again which is why i stopped playing this game, fingers crossed for pes 2015.
 
I also see some of the negative points that Thomasgoal describes (and they were already there pre patch), but the off-side thing never happened to me. Never ever.
Must be the way i set up my teams....don't ask me how...
 
same here no offsides for me.

The games are so tight now it's fantastic. on all PES' before this one I have had the match length on 15 mins but after a few ML games on PES14 i realised games were ending with silly 5-3 type scorelines and cut it back to 10 mins. Finally now can I switch it back to 15 mins on -1 speed and have a cracking game of football.

I played the first game of the patch against Burnley in ML, I snatched an early goal Burnley meanwhile were pinging long balls forward and taking long range shots, I was amazed, finally a varied form of attack from the AI!

it got better in my second game against derby who played pressing high tempo, quick short passes, there play alone a sign of how much improvement has gone into player responsiveness since the game was first released. My defence against them though, that was the truly delightful part. I can 100% say that if this game had occured 2 patches ago then eventually there would have been some error beyond my control defensively that would have ruined the game, it didn't happen rthis time, I had complete control of everything and the AI was smart enough not to leave me at the mercy of near post crosses etc.

I drew 1-1 in that second game and my goal was a beautiful low 20 yard R2 curler into the corner, round the defender blocking me who blinsided the keeper. R2 shooting is now brilliant.

A fantastic improvement from Konami. If they stick going down this track PES2015 could be very impressive

BUT

still work to go guys to make this even better, keep it up!

- Keepers
- Set Pieces
- Dribbling variation
- AI intelligence

all major things that need a lot of work
 
Maybe my English are not good enough, but the pre patch are great to me (not about goalkeepers of course), and the offside problem is not on goal kick, it's when the defense do a long ball.

In the good point a add more freedom for the player, no need super cancel this time.

PS : I play only in full manual
 
There is a 1.10 patch out on PS3? I just downloaded the 1.05 patch?

I don't know about the difficulty increase, I had just made my peace with the game going to Superstar, felt I was struggling just enough... but sure, bring it on!

I needed a game before work and another after that, which says alot about it


This game is much better in many aspects now post patch

Manual passing is very similar to 2013 as is shooting
Keepers are great
Shooting from range is a genuine threat

you should be looking at the goalkeeper kick issue as a positive in my opinion. as someone who plays on 1 bar and uses the L2 modifier for manual when i deem appropriate you'll realise that you can't get good length goal kicks without being fully manual or using L2!

They do care? They don't. The patch should have been out on all platforms at same time. At least this is WHAT I CALL professionalism.

Plus the news on KONAMI site was (as they now removed it) that new patch on PC was released on 26/03/2014, but it was not.

Seriously, they screw up so much it's astonishing.

Now we have announcement of next announcement when the patch might be released for PC users... Give me a break :LOL:.
 
I think I'll retry the game when it goes onto PS Plus for free. This game keeps coming back to me like a particularly smelly, turd addled boomerang.

Oh well. It'll be interesting to see what the patches have done. GET READY FOR THE RAAAAAAGE!!!
 
Hey remember that thing where if you change a set piece taker in game, that player will be the default set piece taker for the rest of the game? Well, this has been changed, for some reason. At least for corners.

This game totally ruins me on Superstar now, I have had 4 matches and 13 goals against, scoring 4. 3 losses, 4-0, 4-1, 4-1, one win, 2-1. Gameplay seems to have improved massively, taking a shot is fun again and the AI passes the ball around to set up a chance, only 2 og these 13 goals conceded were through pass cheap-ass goals. Also, keepers now leave their own box to clear the ball.

For worse, every other cleared ball seems to end in offside, plus that thing mentioned above - that change must just have been a mistake. I had like 6 corners in one game and had to switch from Cissokho to Gerrard each time.

This game has gone through a loooooooooooooooooot of changes since release.

We'll see. I'll spend my entire time with the game trying to score from long range, no goals from outside the box, and I'll be deleting it straight away. Last time I had the game it felt like a hollow shell lacking that PES magic, let's see what the patches brought. I shan't be too forgiving though, since getting rid of the game in November I've been enjoying too many games that were actually ready for release!
 
Fingers crossed that Pés 2014 is going to be released on the american Plus as well.

It seems that the game hás changed a lot over the months and I am really curious to see how it plays now.
