I can't understand Konami charging 10 bucks for a new game mode, a new ball for the WC and the Brazil national team license. I would understand paying if all the WC teams would be licensed and WC stadiums, not even a official WC license or anything, but this just makes no sense to me

More sense to me is paying all the kits tunevi is making for pc and free. He deserve it. :))
 
Ate Konami going to charge for the dlc?!

They can fuck right off if they think I am spending a cent more. I enjoy the game but not to pay additional they still owe me for the few shoddy games I have paid full price for since 2007

Konami really have a nerve releasing this DLC and making it chargable, what a load of bullshit. They released a hell of a bug-ridden game which was unfinished, and not fit for purpose, and now they expect people will pay £7.99 for some shitty "World Challenge Mode" ? yeah good luck with that... :/
 
World Challenge Mode will be available to download on March 26th, priced £7.99/€9.99, with free DLC and patch released at same time.

No PC too. (probably good thinking from KONAMI as no one would pay for it seeing how unfinished the game is).

Nice addition. I'll pick it up for that price. A bit benighted really, some folk wanting something for free that obviously wasn't created out of thin air.

This is a feature that was already in a previous version of the game and i am sure they didn´t have any hard work to make it for 2014, to charge for it is absolutely nonsense, not to say stupid! If they have any interest in compete with EA they should respect their fans that are still playing their game and offer some nice content for free, this DLC would be a very nice gift for the fans, but it end up being a slap in their face.

Honestly Konami, stop being stupid, please!

That´s absolutely not the same as Fifa World Cup game, in Fifa there are 200 national teams, all the 12 officil WC stadium, official balls, referees, WC atmosphere, different gameplay from Fifa 14, etc... I think it´s overpriced and could cost $30 but compared to what´s in the konami DLC the price for the EA game is more fair than this shitty konami DLC with one official ball, a game mode from some winning eleven from PS2 era and an official Brasil squad.

You don't know that. Let's try to be a bit more objective. Everyone should be compensated for their work, unless their volunteers. Anyway, Konami has already provided free DLC for this game.
 
I'd love to say I cannot believe what KONAMI are doing, but I'd be lying.

From that idiot Bhatti to...well everyone, it seems they are hell bent on pissing off the remaining core fans over and over and over again. I'm not sure there's a company in existence that treats its quite unbelievable die hard fans with such disdain. They don't deserve us.

I'm with you. In Fact i will wait for Ariel's Patch for FIFA 14. As been already added, but needs to add all 203 National Teams in the Game, and put a World Cup Final alone and a Qualifier to World Cup final. :))

Pretty annoyed with them but if they feel that it can increase revenue and profits for improvement then by all means but I will be skipping it and missing out.

I am worried that this is what Konami intends to do in future if you look at Mgs ground zeros and now this add on.
I think our days of free dlc are numbered. I also reckon you will be able to buy players with real cash on MLO.

Don´t expectate to much, because they only announce for PS4 and XBOX One.

These games are developed on PC I don't see any serious resources going into having it in addition they get 2% on sales so I don't think they will cancel the PC mode.

Also they need to remain relevant and exiting the PC market will not help their fledging reputation

Namco release SoulCalibur and was ported from PC to PS2 and PS3 only.
 
You'd think it might make better business sense in the long run to make it available for free if anything to keep people on board, it should be free after all the shit they've pulled as a company recently.

Despite hating on FIFA beforehand I must say, that that comparison is rude... To FIFA.

FIFA when speaking of GAME values is COMPLETE product. That much more than PES that I am willing to pay money for World Cup game from them.

PES? Can lay in the bin for the rest of it's life for all I care. It's rubbish, unpolished, unfinished piece of junk GAME.

As said before, you can get much more value for money with Humble Indie Bundle games than what you get from PES 2014... Pretty pathetic year for PES this year.

Moreover, KONAMI starts to turn into CRAPCOM. Paid DLCs, paid game episodes (probably MGS V)... Really, sad days. Even more sad days if people like you and Ipswitch69 are willing to pay for DLC which should be FREE as it does NOT add anything new to the game (except new UI and faces (which could be done by half decent modders :LOL:).

Ezequiel Garay doing fake shot to pass my GK... Yeah, taking the piss to next level? This animation reminded me of PES 2013 and unfair dribbles AI did to get 100% goals... Stats? Well if E. Garay can pull such moves and then come back to defend like nothing happened and stamina doesn't matter, fine. For me it's shit and sadly, PES lost what it once had. Soul, passion, heart and unpredictability.

Firstly, for you to talk about paid game episodes and mention MGS V shows you know very little about games. (What do you think TellTale Games do?)

Secondly PES 14 turned out to be what you expected from a game on a new powerful engine running on older hardware with little development time, and even with all its flaws i have not been more excited for the future of PES and PES 15, as i can see the positives.

Finally Konami at the end of the day are a business and businesses aim to make money. This is the first time they are charging for a DLC, which i would be buying to enjoy and support Konami.

Contrarily to what people believe Konami did not purposefully release "rubbish, unpolished, unfinished piece of junk GAME", unlike EA, they only have One sports title to try out new features, some things work others don't.

Hope this doesn't come across rudely.
 
I'm not telling they are right to charge for the DLC, but I know, as a brazilian, that our National Football Federation are greedy and corrupt bastards, so Konami probably had to pay more to license the National Team than what they paid for the whole Brazilian League.

Remember even FIFA couldn't license "the Seleção" sometimes
 
KONAMI instead wasting money on Kits, why they don´t make a easy editor to make kits on your computer and import them all perfect on your consoles?
Anyone can go to a café bar, pay 50 cents to be 30 minutes on the computer and download all kits in one pack.
DLC's? That is ridiculous konami!

I totally agree with you this place has become quite depressing. I just wonder if anyone has played nfs rivals on the pc apart from the fact that the game is unfinished and doesn't have any storyline that game has loads of bugs, you cannot even pause the game to go and do something else.
The framerate is capped at 30fps among many other problems then it occured to me that this is the first attempt at making a racing game with the frostbite engine just as konami has made use of the fox engine for pes 2014. I hope people cut konami some slack nfs rivals is far more annoying
 
I find it odd that Konami will charge "fans" for an extra incomplete game mode in a game they have admitted have not been up to scraps. You'd think they had the decency to at least let the fans have this game mode as a sort of "thanks for supporting our unfinished product".

But hey, I wouldn't be playing it anyhow.

Please don't compare NFS with Pro Evolution mate.

Newer NFS (since Hot Pursuit 2010) were almost always made by 3rd party (not EA directly!). NFS Rivals was made by Ghost Games, a subparty of Criterion Games (who made Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted recently but are better known for Burnout series :P).

It's not the same as with PES Production Team. Plus it took them 3 years of development (PES 14). 3 years of porting FOX to work for football game and they still didn't deliver anything decent to warrant 20E price tag (that's current official price O_O).

Must I remind people of previews? Pre-interviews? They promised unparrelled graphics with details you never saw in football game. Where is that? In some areas this game falls behind PES 2010 (colours). MASS is great name, but erm doesn't have animations to support it. Yeah, we come down to main problem with PES games recently. Lack of ANIMATIONS made by professional footballers. Plus animations are not seamlessly knitted together, they must finish before new one can take place.

Lack of Stadium Editor because they didn't finish game in time and lacked time.

If you honestly believe they can turn Trabant into Ferrari for next year, you're very delusional seeing how many failures they had over past 7 years.

Plus Football Life/Be a Legend and User Interface need complete rework to get done and on PC they need to add mouse input support to navigate through menus.

I came to one conclusion though. It doesn't matter who the guy in charge of PES Production Team is. Be it Masuda or Seabass. Both have vision of how football should be. MASS, Player ID, Trueball Tech, etc. are very nice, but... Maybe the team lacks programmers who can convert their vision into game code?

Maybe snapping up some talented guys from Europe would help?
