Probably true. It could probably be done in a fair way using mentality stats and such like, but it will probably just turn out like FIFA's 45th/90th minute goal scripts or when the momentum scripts kick in.

can some one answer me this WHY OH FUCKING why do the players on PES these days have now control over their limbs? the arms flop about it looks so stupid, If I was a betting man I think they are done in all honesty..they get a new engine and it still resembles the old games so far how is that possible?!

listen lads im not one to bring negativity its just I hate the last few PES games and I have a bad feeling about this one

That is a thing right - it's not just my imagination?

To be fair, PES was renowned for that back in the day. If you were winning in the 90th minute the CPU turned on turbo-mode. Also, the match could not end with the CPU possessing the ball if I remember correctly. You could be playing 5 minute halves and if you let the CPU keep attacking, you could play 20 minutes worth of extra time :)
 
Finally got to watch the video. Not sure what I can take from this really. It's the usual Konami spiel and oddities that could be interchangeable with any PES build-up from the last few years.

Meh. Need to see gameplay.

There's not much on display to come to any conclusions, so I'm not making any.

Gameplay footage will show me all I need to know about how far this game has progressed. Until then....

History tought us to be sceptical. Quite noticeable how each year there is less optimism before release. For obvious reasons I guess.

Thanks for saying what I was thinking Simcut,I watched
live and thought the best conclusion based on the few minutes seen was no conclusion.Do not think anyone can draw any from today,but the concept for heart was good.

theyve been working on it for 3 YEARS, the game should be ready for shipping by now

well it is bye bye pes as the only football game available for the ps4 and xbox one(which i will both buy) will only be fifa so your little personal attack on me is pointless and foolish. Am i not allowed to have a negative opinion on things i see on this site.... this is not communist wenb where the party line is "pes is the king blah blah blah"
I havent bought a pes since pes2011, its a very sad state of affairs for konami when pes3,5 and 6 which are ancient by todays standards STILL play a better game of football than anything currently doing the rounds,just off the top of my head i can name a lot of stuff those older games have that this gens pes doesnt

1. a league mode
2. snow
3. international challenge mode
4. proper goalie animations
5. no severe scripting
6. proper transition animations
7.intelligent ai
8. better individuality in players
9. proper tactics
10. better night lighting
11. online mode that works


and thats just me not even thinking about it, konami should be ashamed of itself


it even looks like fifa 14 on ps3/360 is getting its act together with the problems its had over the years.

Looks good, love the concept and ideas for the ball and the new possibilities for body-movement around it. Animations and physics also look very interesting.

I'm a bit sceptic though regarding the heart-topic. There's just too much that can go wrong with that and it could severely help scripting and cheating in the game. If done really well and unbiased it could add something to the game, but the potential for being abused for the purpose of cheating and scripting is very big.

Besides, there are teams in the world that actually excel at playing away and suck at playing at home and there are teams that play bad both at home and away or play well in both no matter what, so what I want to say there is not just one way of how away and home effects mentality. It's a dynamical and complex topic, and I'm not sure it can be handled well in a game. But we'll see.
