it sounds promising yes, but lets just wait for the demo to hit first.

We all want the king to be back, but we're being a bit premature

The king is back!

everything looks great to me but will all be irrelevant if they dont fix the annoying problems, like player switching for example, defenders running away from the ball, these are the problems konami need to sort out for us gamers to enjoy the game long term, fingers crossed its all good.

By Konami saying that demo news will come end July, it probably means that we'll get the demo a week or two after that announcement. I'm hoping we'll have a demo before the EPL starts on August 17th.

I would be very surprised if haven't got a demo before Gamescon.

3. The early demo: Probably we will get one in August and that's imho very bad news. First it will contain non-final code, it will be 5 or 10 minutes in exhibition match and therefore not really representing the game, and most concerning it is a lot of time between the demo-release and the final game, about two months. Enough time to seduce the developers to make last-minute-changes to the game based on the premature feedback on the demo.

Ah - I see now why you'd prefer not to have an early demo. What if we get two demos though; won't that prevent knee jerk reactions from the devs?

We have memory and we see difference between old crap engine which was used in Pes 2008-2013 and new one Fox in Pes 2014. Times changed 360 degree in Pes. Yea probably king is back.

Btw do you really believe that new engine is enough to create great game ?

I just want to enjoy PES again, I've never got on with FIFA (despite being completely unbeaten on 07, vs CPU or humans) and playing PES 6.was actually great fun and ML made me fall in love with the management aspects and tactical genius in football more than Manager Mode ever could.

So if I ca play it and enjoy it, even if its completely crap and broken like PES2010 was on the PS2, then the king will be back.

New good engine is a basic to create great game. Pes need it like firsh a water. On PS2 days they created very good technically engine and games which used it like Pes 3 - 6 were awesome. Of course new engine not guarantee great game but you have 50% more chance to make superb game than you not have this kind of engine.

There will always be people, that can't be satisfied never ever ... That's sad, but true! My condolences! :-X

I think the videos and screens are enough to determine, that we can await a completely different game! And I will predict: It won't be worse than PES 2013 (which even had it's cool aspects).

I wonder why the biggest problem in the PES saga is still ignored by the developers: the run speed is exagerated, a technical nonsense.
Real players adjust their speed in order not to push the ball two meters in front of them every single time. I lose count at how many balls are given away in AI vs AI matches, it's like players didn't know their strenght and lost all ball carrying abilities while running.
This is a PS2 type feature that should have been corrected by now, i honestly can't understand this limitation.

Naturally it's more than enough given the developer had good track records. Beside PES 2011 - 2013 weren't that bad considering the circumstances and how limited the previous technology were.
