it's the effect of video rendering , i have this turf patch and it corrects the stupid konami lighting of pes 2013 and it makes the game looks on bar with pes 2014 e3 lighting
u can check the patch screenshots here , it far from being "oversaturated"

try a defeault console screenshot from pes13 and compare it to pes14, with the same resolution

UK = FIFA. I have so many UK friends and they won't even consider buying Pro Evo, because.. It's shit (even if they haven't played it once in their life, they will say it's shit).

FIFA = Premier League exclusive deal. It comes with some bonuses too. Pro Evo can't offer such things and some people can't be arsed to download patches /kits, etc.

Can't blame them.

Ha! A deal that they do absolutely nothing with; Konami get the La Liga licence and what do they do? Roll out every single La Liga stadium for free on day one of PES 13.

It would be great if Konami got the Premiership licence; it's not completely out of the question, after all they managed to nab La Liga which isn't exactly small fry.

All videos from E3/KONAMI presentation are blurry. There is hardly any detail shown. Wait for "proper" gameplay videos or demo.

Saw the screenshots? Lightning is amazing in those. I believe this will be apparent in Gamescom build.

I still don't know how people can compare those screens to anything PES 2013 was ever able to deliver, modded or not...

PES2014 faces look incredible, maybe they could "sweat" a little bit less but otherwise...

And the similarity with MGSV in terms of shaders and lighting is also clear, although that footage is clearly on NG consoles (amount of detail on the backgrounds gives it away)

Just to clarify, I was laughing at the thought of PES 2013's lighting being superior to PES 2014. It isn't and to me, it's fairly obvious.

You do realize that MGS:5 footage is from the Xbox One presentation, right? It's silly to compare a current-gen game to Xbox One footage. I play PES on the PC and even with modifications the lighting still looks off. Oh, and PES looks terrible with blur disabled.

You're still comparing a highly modded modded PC version vs a barebone console version. I'd love it you compare highly modded 2013 PC version with a highly modded 2014 PC one

If you're saying this comparision is invalid because we could not run modded PES13 in consoles... you're wrong. I run PES13 smoothly in my poor notebook graphic card with those turfs and a few more tweaks. I would never be able to get anything similar to other console games on it though

Poor in a way it would never run games like Bioshock 3, Tomb Raider and the new Metro with the quality consoles can deliver on them.

Btw these Hany3 pitches have nothing to do with LOD as far i know. Kitserver LOD mixes the quality for the players and the referee, for example.

Are you compare images of blur youtube video, that has low resolution,capture from streaming press conference, passed at least three video compression with a picture taken in real time on PC gameplay,witch have just a one HQ jpeg compression ?

No meather how many graphic mods you will put ... PES 2013 will never look like that :

They are, but even then the hardware is way too old. Games are just very well optimized for these consoles and an incredible amount of "tricks" are used to make games play and look great.

Oh, and the collision system in 2013 is like two pieces of paper brushing up against each other. That seemed to be remedied based on the footage we've seen of 2014.

Right, the tricks always related to draw distance and Level of details depend on the distance. Also some effect like blur or depth of field also help masking the low resolution texture.

But even if the texture might look blurry from distance, there's no deny the animation and fidelity still look top-notch. I believe FOX engine has more polygons for the character model as well, including hair, face and shirt than the old engine. 22 animated characters on high quality with unique AI, and the addition of miscellaneous objects (linesman, referee, manager, ballboy,crowd etc.). Unlike in most action and fps genre, all of these are rendered in real-time on one whole view or screen. So i can imagine it already taxing for current gen technology.

Beside Youtube quality footage will never do justice. I believe all the footages we had seen so far, even on HD are still blurry, pixelated and too compressed.

I'd be interested to see numbers. From what I understand, the second-hand market is much more prevalent in the Tiger economies for games. Hence why FIFA 14 is still being produced for the PS2. I'd be very surprised if there were more people in Brazil who bought PES 2013 compared to in the UK.

I hope we have an average of one player sent off every two games, as well as an average of three yellows cards per game.

Shouldn't that depend on how you play? I don't want my players being sent off for unfortunate mistimed standing tackles.

In FIFA on assisted it works like this - general direction of the ball receiver on controller and the ball will go there with high accuracy (if talking about ground passes, on assisted controls you can achieve over 90%+ accuracy in passing - of course you need tactic to accommodate short passing triangles, rigid play style, etc).

In PES 2013 I found that even on 4 bars, you're not in control of passes at all. It's like AI decided if the ball will reach receiver or not. It was made to make mistakes. Even if the guy you pass to is 10m away from you... It could be that ball will end... Outside of playing field. At least that was my view on that since PES 2011 I believe (but yes, you could do tiki-taka and other shit with high precision if you learnt how this stuff works).

I believe PES 2014 will have fundamental change in that regard. I don't want AI to decide whether my pass is accurate or not. Stats + user input direction should matter (manual is out of question because this will never take player attributes into question - only user input).

Assisted passing was great on FIFA. I would love to see a similar system of assistance on PES for those who want to play assisted due to no gamepad.

I dissagree with you. Your pitches are fantastic and most of the time Konami & EA dont get the pitch wear right and you get it spot on. I think you'll make PES2014 even greater and more authentic
