PES 2013 Discussion Thread

I was playing as Bale and went to do a Marseille Turn and he ended up doing one I have never seen before. It was more like the Ribery turn, but it was different to that.

I'm not sure if the actual input was a full circle, as after I tried it again after doing it 3 times, he did the standard Marseille Turn.

So, now that there's the Ribery turn + this one along with the Marseille Turn, how do you know which player has which one?

It's a Player I.D. move I believe.

Thanks for that! Is there any more versions of it or a list of people who can do it? I noticed Bale can do it only if you go counter clockwise, if you go clockwise he will do the normal version.

And is it possible to assign it to a created player?

I don't think any of of the Player I.D. moves are assignable. And that move is favoured foot specific I think.

Thanks Again!

I'v been messing around in training to see who else can do it, but so far only Bale can haha.

I also noticed Ribery can't do the normal version of the move, that is supposed to happen correct?

Jimmy sir!

I've not seen you mention your thoughts about the pes 2014 footage we've seen? pretty surprised, or are you still mopping up all the jizz? :CONFUSE:

That's because I ain't seen it yet. I'll have a look now Si :TU:

I can't ever remember playing much with Ribery, but I always believed he actually had that one foot turn and drag move. In fact, I'm sure he was on one of the initial Player I.D. video's pulling it off ?!

Yup, the McGeady turn/Ribery Turn. Its different from the Bale version and I'v only seen Bale do that one footed one. I wonder if Berbatov turn is in the game too.

I'm going to have to look around to see if anyone has found who can do what turn.

Just looking for some clarification as last time I checked, it seemed like a no-go. Can you play online with another person against the CPU? As in, separate PCs?

Does anyone know of a BLES1708 compatible PS3 option file containing any of the second divisions except the Championship. Bored of England now!

guys I have got pes2013 on the pc. what are the best mods for this that you can play online with?

thanks
The PESEdit patch can be used online, but modding possibilites are pretty limited in online mode in general since you can only play with KONAMI's default database. Graphic mods should work though.

If anyone is interested: PES 2013 is on sale at Steam. Save 33%: http://store.steampowered.com/app/221430/

I just fail to get any kind of satisfaction from this game. You're not able to control the ball tightly and cautiously neither back, forward nor sideways. When you make a turn the player turns too fast, and when you want tight control you have to use r2 wich is totally fucked up. Instead of close control as it was before the fucking dragging starts. I'll be pissed if close control is not back in pes 14 and that dragging bullshit is still there. I want to be able to enjoy controlling high tech players like Isco, Iniesta, Silva, Thiago Alcantara and so on. You want to feel the differnce in control right?

Secondly the non existant speed differences is a total game breaker. I can't stand a game where everyone runs at the same speed, where 35 yrs old Carragher can keep up with Bale. Its fucking mind boggling.

Pes 10 was a fuck up. Pes 11 was a new game on the right track. Pes 12 was a totally new game with worse graphics and too quick players. Pes 13 is the worst blend of all of them together. Konami just can't keep on fucking track. How do you manage to get on with this game?

That is absolute nonsense.

Ever tried tapping Sprint to get the ball out of your feet and pushing into open space ? That's where the natural speed comes into play. And there is no catching Bale in this manner.

The whole idea they changed this was to stop the close-control sprint option ruining the game as it did in years gone by.

The top players with close-control and speed can beat a man with a mere shift of body-weight. Which is exactly as it should be. And there are very few players in world football that can run as fast with the ball under control, as they can knocking it into space and chasing it. That's flat-out speed. And there is a difference.

The 'Catch-up' bug from last year has been removed pretty much, without turning the game back into the PES sprint-fest of old. It's a fine balance, and I think they did a great job this year.

As for the rest, I have no idea what you are talking about. And you certainly don't know how to use R2 properly, that's for sure.

Been playing this recently off-line on xbox, it is a welcome change from Fifa.

A wee bit of a learning curve as I dont really know all the different moves or ways of shooting yet.

I am struggling to power a shot home though, it always seems to rise, should I be pressing something after shoot?

Also, I could only find the option to turn on manual shooting and turn off the indicator. Can you not go fully manual passing?

Cheers

Try the game on single player, Superstar or Top Player. Then watch Bale struggle to outpace Richard Dunne. On these difficulties, if Bale ain't on a red arrow, he ain't outpacing anyone.

Yes you can!

Hey, I've been trying to look for definitive answer in regards to online 2 players vs the CPU, but I've yet to find one. I noticed your videos and it would seem that you can in fact play 2vCPU. Is that the case? Can I play with another friend online (separate PCs) against the CPU? Are you restricted to one player or can you cursor change between everyone? Thanks for your time."

My reply:
"Yes, indeed you can play 2 vs cpu online sitting in different places.

build a community an open multiplayer freegame
now your partner can join and switch sides with square
before you start the match you have do enable the option "cursor-change" to "yes" and now you are able to switch between the players in the match vs cpu."

I play it alot with a friend of mine in the early morning hours b4 work ^^

You are too easily pleased, konamis ideal costumer. I tried to sprint with Walcott besides some crap defender and barely gained any distance, thats far from real-life football. Getting rid of speed differences was surely a lazy move from konami to solve the springing-whore problem. Why just not improve defending.

So basically you have all players running at similar scripted speed, and then on the other hand they can turn fast as fuck. Every one can turn like Messi which is disturbing obviously. If their aim was to slow the game down then you should not leave the "agility-fest" untouched. It becomes awkard with slow running but crazy player turns with no weight. What is there not to know what I'm talking about?

And seriously, fuck R2. They messed close control up. I want light touches on the ball not some damn dragging. Its not a matter of being able to use it or not, its a matter of konami being lazy implementing superficial shit into the game for marketing purposes. Sometimes I want to slow down with the ball under close control before I make a through ball or just gain control in tight space, but now that isn't possible anymore because they start to stamp all over the ball instead.

Close control, turning, speed.. these are basic things. I really hope the new engine gets it right.

Fuck R2 ? Really ? Wow. And it just 'drags' does it ? Really ? Hmmmmmmn.

And everyone turns like Messi ? Are you kidding me ?!!

No further comment. (Sigh).

I used to have this problem until I realized this isn't like FIFA with the close control button. The closes control is so dependent on player stats, and your movement of the joystick. I used to do the same and just press R2 for close control dribbling, but then I realized if you have a good enough player and some quick joystick movements, your dribbling will be fine. In the end I feel it's more natural than FIFA.

He maybe is confusing Pes with Fifa.
Not if he's talking about players "turning." Players in PES turn, whereas in FIFA they use their ninja-spin powers to teleport past you if you're foolish enough to dare try and tackle them.

finally at the hype PES up slag FIFA off stage when no ones played any of the games..I'd be careful getting my hopes up with a brand new engine..Konami couldn't get next gen right at all.And before I get called a fanboy I have no loyalty I'll just buy both as usual and keep the better one

This manual shooting thing in PES is actually awesome. I haven't bothered with it until now. Love how stats still come into play. Satisfaction from scoring is back with this for me.

The phrase 'fanboy' is daft, as is being 'loyal' to a football game. Are Konami/EA going to pay you for your 'loyalty'? Nope. Like you, I'll try both and buy the one I like best, but it's going to be hard buying Fifa 14 PC when I know there's a superior version available, so I'm more than likely going to buy PES 14.

I have come to the conclusion that Professional is, sadly, the best difficulty to play the game in. The AI actually fouls you and gets yellow carded, their amazing dribbling skills found in higher difficulties doesn't come into play anymore. And you can actually attempt a challenge without them telephatically avoiding it or, in the worse of cases, change directions in their dribble only for you to earn a yellow card.

When I say "sadly", however, it is because their defending is worse than in later difficulties, at the expense of having a fair match, where both of the teams actually suck. In higher difficulties, the opposition AI gets better, yours doesn't, their stats boost, yours don't. Just an hour ago I decided to up the difficulty from Top Player to Super Star, only to concede three goals: two from placed shots from outside the box from a really crappy player, and a third goal following a corner that my teammates decided to conceded by not clearing the ball away from the sidelines, when it was the best option at the time. Instead, they deciding to turn around and face the opposition, losing the ball all the time.
