Why do Konami NEVER document what they've changed properly? I wish they'd actually go into detail to tell us what changes they have made.

Still playing...!
Bloody hell it took forever but finally the quick free kick is working!!
Noticeable changes in gameplay. Played 2 and didn't encounter any through-ball goals. AI seems to play nicely and the defense has gotten tighter, you know, reduced rails.
Well that was a short lived placebo effect.

Yeah, I thought they would update at least the adboards since Santander isn't even the main sponsor of the competition anymore... Even in the main menu it's still called Copa Santander Libertadores. Also, anyone notice that the 'updated' Libetadores still has the 2012 adboards? fail...
Damn, the working quick free kick is a huge temptation to update to 1.04, but I'm finally enjoying 1.03 and don't want to risk losing that enjoyment in the case that 1.04 changed something for the worse that I love in 1.03.

No risk since 1.04 is 99% similar to 1.03 except the working free kick.
I couldn't resist much longer and just did the update. I don't know how regularly you played 1.03, but I played it nearly daily the last few weeks and for me the difference with 1.04 on xbox360 is clearly visible.
# 1.04 has changed gamespeed, before I played with -2, but with 1.04 it felt a tad too slow for me and I had to go for -1 which now feels like -2 before the update.
# There is now more control over the players, they are less inclined to go for automated runs and even if they are they remain more responsive to my inputs. I even achieved to use the body of one my defenders to push an attacker a bit out of his path and slow him down. Was never able to do that before. There are less situations where I feel the rails to be disturbing.
# Passing is a bit nicer.
# AI all around feels a bit more refined and clever, more composed if you will.
# The pressuring is less wild so that less fouls are generated. Hadn't yet have the opportunity of a quick free kick.
# What remained the same:
- My players still not able to run for balls that are going to roll over the sideline. They don't develop that urgency to try to save the ball. They follow the ball in a slow way and even decelerate when nearing the sidelines.
- Cheating: It feels less now but still I can spot situations where an attacking player is trying to make a cross or pass or shot and my defender is slightly pushed out of the way to prevent the ball from getting blocked.
Verdict: There are some clear areas that got improved but I have to play more games to gauge if the level of fun remained the same as with 1.03 or if it got less fun due to the less wild pressuring and more composed AI.
i played pes regularly since the beginning and 1.03 for weeks, online and offline but i don't see all these changes
i'm playing on superstar difficulty, 0 bars assistance
I would like to add
Cursor change is still bad while attacking, even on semi assisted.
But I'm not yet sure if it is better from an overall fun-level-perspective, need more games to gauge that.
tried the game since the patch. (online only) apart from quick free kick.
nothing new at all, still as annoying as ever, regarding player switching and ai players totally unresponsive to loose balls. ah well back in its box never to see the light of day. good old konami!!!
How many hours in a Suarez75 day? I'm envious of how long they are, as I'd finally play all the games that I've been wanting to.Ill post my settings later. Ive got it running fab.
Youll need to do three global edits, edit some gameplay sliders including ticking the cheating a.i box. Honestly im having really balanced games.
