So if I want to play a league season, this year I have no choice but to do it in ML with magic boots and all that 12-year-old's shit?

It's that or just play endless friendlies? Seriously?

polakis you played the final version of FIFA and you say the speed is slower? I sure hope so but I wont believe it until i see it for myself.. THE pace and speed even on slow speed in the FIFA demo is unplayable for me. I can't believe anyone can play a game like that and enjoy it. IMO FIFA 12 is more realistic game because of the game speed and pace of the game. FIFA 13 demo default speed of normal and default settings is nothing but end to end run and gun fast paced hockey. It seems it's all about how fast you can button mash your way to the other end as quickly as possible.. nothing about buildup play.. patience or tactics is going to make you good at FIFA online I can tell already. I will not even waste my time with FIFA online if they are going to force you to play that fast with no slider settings. No one already hardly wants to play slow game speed and full manual online... EA forces you to use slider settings to make the game a lot better in the demo. you shouldn't have to do this... imo.. the default game speed needs to be slower than the slow game speed in the demo. thankfully they have provided slider settings to make it just right but for online these slider settings are useless probably. bottom line is that the default demo's game speed and settings is so far off the mark that is pisses me off they make you have to use slider settings to make the game play so much better. I enjoyed FIFA 12 offline because I used some great slider settings but imo the new PES demo plays better than my FIFA 12 with great slider settings.

I am trading in my FIFA 12 tomorrow and pre ordering PES for this year. after playing the FIFA demo, NHL Demo, and both PES demos.. I have decided on PES this year for me. It's the only demo that I keep playing and has that addicting gameplay that makes you wanna master it keeep coming back to it instead of wasting my time trying to master what slider settings makes the game play best.

Yeah as you know im not an offline gamer but it should still be part of the offline experience maybe konami felt its all about the online experience .... with that in mind server experience for me is key to the success of a new pes hope they have put time into that ....

good connection good opponent = great pes

does anyone know if community online is still available? any news around any improvement like chat staying in screen while navigating the online community

konami cup is pretty detailed though, u can set up everything u can imagine, im still shocked about community most of all cause i dont play league mode, but still thats a blow aswell

What options are there in the Konami Cup? I've never really tried it out.

For those who are still crying about the boots thing in ML - if it's optional, don't use it. If you were playing against other human players and didn't want to be disadvantaged, then you have a point. But this here is your choice and it will take quite a few games anyway from the sound of things, so is it REALLY going to be that bad?

I'm not overlooking all the bad points, but a lot of you on this thread do nothing but whinge. FFS!

magic boots why o why would that be considered a good idea to implement on master league the only option for offline league football

i hear your squad starts default black boots and the more you play the more magic boots you unlock

im confused by the logic behind this

Yeah it is hard in the beginning as your stats are rubbish and your teams know it. Once you become a regular starter and after the cut scene where the captain tells you that your team mates trust you (true story) you get the ball whenever you ask for it. Be patient you will soon become the engine room.

ok well my last game ended with that cut scene so fingers crossed. although im more concerned with the left back rated 8, yes, just 8

Hey polakis is it fair to say for someone who is an experienced video football gamer
That FIFA 13 is very unrealistic. I mean when I played the demo every single player I controlled was pulling off amazing skill moves. realistic u say I don't think so. C'mon dude you should know individuality is part of soccer don't tell me it's in FIFA cause if you see it than your a fan boy. Can u imagine playing online and every one is doing skill moves with everybody. To me from what iv seen its an advanced version of FIFA street. Feel free to disagree.

BAL is terrible. It has remained the same. No improvement in the terrible AI.

yeah i played 3 players on same team the other night as 2v2 partner left

have to say it was a bad pes12 experience AI are wack and the link up is awkward with AI getting involved even tho there was 3 of us trying or attempting to play some good footy

i have really enjoyed pes12 v the right opponent but BAL is something that needs some serious attention if it wants to break headlines though out the pes world

BAL AI is worse this year than its ever been. There is still no midfield in PES (BAL and full team mode). Player positioning and reactions are awefull. The game is bearable in every other mode but ball. My god konami must not quality test their games. This is really bad. I need to buy boots for all my team mates to wear on their brains. This crap has to go. By morning.

Fifa 13 demo is fun and looks far more realistic than PES 13. If only PES would look like that. However, the more i play Fifa 13 demo the more you begin to miss the tight control and gameplay of PES13. FIFA has always been fun to play with its cosmetic silky smooth graphics, but after a few months it becomes stale and lifeless. It is then that you realize what is really underneath its mascara.

No offense. Thats just been "My experience" with this game over the years

covering option was good from old pes gen

if your right back or centre back were out of position and you had covering dmf he would slot in take control of that position till your rb woke up and realised he was far to up the field

good option that one from old gen pes

Covering is still in the game but its AI based now.

I personally feel covering was alot more effective in the old days of pes from a dmf or cmf
