PES 2012: The Wish List

to hire editers and make a little europe department, or at least let the editers work at home but pay them

maybe make some edit competitions or something

basically to open up to the community more

The ability to add a player+cash for a transfer in ML for me would make ML absolutely complete! Don't mess with the offline version of ML too much, it's basically perfect right now, just needs that added player+cash deal option in my view, oh and the ability to offer a club cash for a player myself, then talk personal terms with the player, kinda like in FIFA 11 career mode.

Next Pes should copy Fifa on the freedom of switching players with the left stick.

Players need to be more aware of air balls and short manual passes into spaces, and I want the manual passes to be a bit easier to dominate. Also, as in Fifa, they need to fix the player switching when I make a manual pass, because the CPU picks up the wrong player I passed to after a manual pass, and this happen too often.

Less pressure, more effective ball shielding, better and a bit faster ball controll. IMO they should take the secound player pressure off the game. Sprinting around the whole field with 2 players trying to catch you all the time makes me think: this is so VIDEOGAME - bullshit - like, not real life like. I hate this.

These are just few ones.

Sorry for my english.

The L2 modifier is alright but i'd rather that button be used for something more useful when on offense like instructing a player to make a run.

Fuck no. It's been abused enough times in FIFA since 96 for Konami to know that it destroys the gameplay. Not to mention it makes the game look ridiculous.

One thing that annoyes me is the off the ball movement. When I'm with ball in possession in midfield, over pressured, there's no player getting close to give option to pass the ball around. As in real life, to make my play style more possible, some midfielder must get close or, if he's already close enough but still on the danger area, he should make two steps back to receive the ball properly on the less pressured area.

YouTube - Barca's 30 passes and ending with final attempt!!!

Here's an example of players always getting close and at 0:17 to 0:20 you can see a player getting back to recieve the ball on a safe space.

That's what i like to play, making short passes around, atacking slowly, with good passes variation in slow pace, but football games nowadays are simply not good enough to make this a really good play style.

Another problem: Maicon (inter milan) is always supporting the attack from the right side irl, so when i'm with the ball in possesion with some midfielder close to him (Maicon), I hold the close control for a secound and expect him to go a bit forwar to give option for a short manual through pass to him, but he simply does nothing, he stays there close to the half line. This is ridiculous. Even when I try to make a 1-2 with Maicon, he runs in diagonal to the gaol post direction, when he should simply runs straight forward.

I like to make short manual passes into space and attack in slow pace, but football games have serious problems to make it really rewardable. Say waht you want, but fooball games are still not good enough for this

I think there will never be a really sim game into the short 15 mins. Fast paced passes forward and through balls to the wings with big teams (btw I hate Real Madrid in football games) will always be the better option, that's the videogame play style.

Replicating my play style, which is clearly more complexive, will never work as it should. That's my major frustration. I don't want my lay style to be unbeatable, but to be more possible and more rewardable. The AI off the ball movement and the passing (and even ball physiscs) are not dynamic and organic enough.

Pes 2011 is a good game after all, mainly if you compare it to the previous one, it shows good potential for the next PES, but it's still far from what i expect for a football game.

the first thing u mention needs a better AI, i doubt konami can pull this off
better forget this hope for this engine generation mate :)

second thing with maicon can be fixed by the right user input with making good tactic and positioning of the players, this game screams to make better tactics!

third thing about the rewarding such a playstyle, forget this also with this engine, especially online

Could you give me some tips to make Maicon make the ight runs when I need ?

post me a screenshot of your formation via pm
i look into that

a lot of things can be wrong, maybe the CM on his side is positioned too much on the side, or some player tries to hang deep on the wing and maicon stays back, every position has influence on the movements of other players

edit
even the amount of positions a player can play
lets say u play a 433 and the winger on maicons side has this running back card or can play as an wingback too, this has an impact on maicons movements etc.

forget more leagues!!! fix the play of the game.

#1:fix the movement of players, it seems labored when you are moving. especially when engaging an opponent. The A.I sometimes don't recognize the ball just because they are not selected, or if they are on a run, they won't break it off. Or they don't keep their run when you are attacking, they break it off too early.

#2: give players the ability to handle lob passes better, they seem to not be able to take advantage of those opportunities. ( they cant even get a good shot off when the ball is dropping)

#3: fix the referee ( the calls are ridiculous )

#4: stop the A.I from slide tackling in the box (have them clear the ball automatically, within a yard or two off the goal line instead)

#5: allow the player to hit one time shots(offense) , or clear the ball (defense) one time. if we want to control the ball, we wont press square to shoot or clear.

#6: bring back the old P.K system.......no one complained, so why change it.

#7: fix how players engage each other. from jostling to tackling to keeping possession of the ball.

#8: The motion of shooting needs some work, i'm not sure what. it just doesn't seem convincing

#9: When players are running, they have momentum. If i run full tilt and stop with the ball, the A.I stops on a dime right beside me. That's unrealistic, how are you supposed to get separation

#10: Ball physics needs adjusting

#11: Cursor switching speed needs to be adjustable

#12: Change the name back to Winning Eleven...............The good old days!

There you have it, 12 things to fix for Winning Eleven 2012. Do those things before changing anything that we did not ask to be changed, or changing the menus which have nothing to do with football or even new nets i can live without. These are the requests of your true blue faithful Konami, everyone else is trying to distract you from the task of making the beautiful game.

To be honest, I think PES isn't far off the mark with secondary pressure. Watching Tottenham v Milan just an hour ago you can see how much Tottenham used this tactic. What PES does well is that the players dont crash into you and fly around like in FIFA. Now THAT would be something to worry about.
Agree with:
- flicking the stick to select players
- improving shooting animations (I think FIFA's look less robotic in certain scenarios)
- being able to select manual passing/crossing from the settings without having to hold the button down OR being able to leave it as is and use the button for the occasional pass. but give us the choice and ensure surrounding player AI can respond to manual passing.
- implement stats better towards crossing. not everyone should be able to triple tap a cross with the same accuracy or pace. not sure i've seen much distinction here between different players? correct me if im wrong.

i agree with this

"Master League

- Transfers! I hate the way it works. Make them more football manager style. I send them an offer, (not my scout!) and they decide if they like or want to negotiate, or just don't feel like selling.

- Transfers! Now this one is for realistic transfers! Ive seen Puyol in Real Madrid. There should be certain things, like rivals having a tougher time negotiating. Also big teams should see if a player is older, and even though he is good, not worth buying at times. English players should try to stay in England etc...

- This might be tougher but, try to implement real life contracts. Rooney just signed a 5 year deal with United. So in the game Rooney should have a 5 year contract.

- There should be games during the winter transfer period. There are in real life!

- Our youth team should have mostly players from the country we are commanding our ML team from. So if I pick Lille for my ML, most players (not all) should be from France.

- Let us have Second divisions for every league! I want to see what is going on in the Championship, Serie B, Liga Adelante etc...Let us have lower teams. It is much more fun when you build a team from crap in the second division, to world beaters!

- South American ML! Try to introduce the Argentine, Brazilian, Uruguayan, Colombian, Mexican, Chilean and Paraguayan leagues. That way we can have a South American ML parallel to the European ML. That way, we can either play in S. America, or scout in S. America for talent!

- UCL and Europa league finals alternate stadiums every year!"

if we have 2nd division for each league that will be more FUN :)

Real premier league and 1st person become a legend also a website were people can share theire patches, like fifa 11s creation centre. More players on a team cause when i got master league with manutd i cant get welbeck back because the squad is full and i can never buy a player without selling someone. Its hard to buy players so I want to choose the transfer fee myself. :BOP:

Where the hell is the I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU button???

Seriously that is a must. Can't see why they havn't done it before. If we look at the amout of leagues available and compare it to FIFA. Then PES is back around 1999!

It can't be a license issue, because if they can create the EPL with fake name, why should it be so difficult to create fictional 2nd divisions???

This topic has bothered me for a while, I'm looking for realism when I play, and it makes me wanna cry when I have to play PES United or what ever... Come on Konami.

Plus if Konami expanded the amount of leagues, that way we could get rid of the fictional players, and then as a gesture to those who like to play with fictional players, simply create a complete game mode for them.

just my two cents

-europa league stand alone mode
-transfers DURING a season
-3rd kit selection option
-create our own leagues/cups

You can create your own league/cup in community mode. I think this mode has been largely unexplored by the community, I myself have only recently looked into.

Think its main aim is so you can set up mini leagues or cups with friends and keep records of results, but you can also use it as a one player mode and create a Euro Superleague or whatever you want, similar to Konami cup in the past.

~this is my wish~

-add more asian national team such Malaysia(must), singapore and indonesia will be add on the pes 2012..

-more cup/tournament added..

-more realistic game play

-add some dirty trick to AI ( i like to see them been carded :P )

-more animation.

hopefully this wish is not only remain on this thread, but in the pes 2012..:BYE:

My updated wishlist for PES 2012:

- A new, way advanced and superior animation-engine, physics- and AI-engine (for player's awareness and adaptiveness). In these technological areas, EA is way superior and the gap is embarrassing.

- Graphics that look good also at night and with panned out cameras like widecam. Weather-effects like rain and snow that also have a realistic effect on gameplay.

- Much better atmosphere, adaptive crowd-reaction depending on the situation on the pitch, better commentary...

- More freedom, better control of the players, more clever team-AI...

- Realistic nets, penalty-camera from behind the player (and easy penalty-shooting), free-flowing replay-camera.

That's it for the moment.

My wishlist for PES 2012

i want the good old gameplay from pes 1-6 back...
since 2008 pes it wasnt the same game :(

*bring the old defender system back (only hold the X button)
*if i have a defender , i cant take the ball who past me slowly... (he just stay there , even i push the right side(he ignore my input :( )
*the player are so slooooooowly when i want to change the direktion or side (sorry for my englisch ;) )
*the R2 buttom is totaly inefficient since pes 6 why? pls the old system back
*pls removed the trick system... its the unreal thing i ever see in pes. earlier I'm cursed that is only in fifa those unreal tricks (but now we have the unreal thing :( )
brin the L2 back as a tacktik buttom not select buttom
*i want the old manual setting back (where i can choose manual play or full automaticly.. not this half automaticly etc.
*KONAMI SERVER IN EUROPE!!! AND NOT IN THE USA!!! Only player from the same continent can connect. for games with a player from another continent you have to set it in the options (not only the language)
*the 2on2 group system from pes6 must came back!!
*i want to save my foramtion in the online modus!
*i want to share my formation with my 2on2 mate in the online modus or with my opponent if he accept! (so you can be better with your mate)
*my player have to run and the line when i have the ball or the CM have to run to the goal and dont wait and look what i do...
*there is no fight for the ball... the opponent only tuch a little bit my player and he dont fight for the ball...

pls it is for me the last chance for pes... dont dissapoint me

MASTER LEAGUE OFF LINE WITH COOP ON LINE!

i used to play the ml with mu buddies, now we all spread out in different places, it would be fun to be able to play with them once again.

I'm not sure that PES 2012 will give me what I want, because Konami collec feedback and listen to "fans" like WENB Adam. I'm just listened to his podcast and listen to it lists the things he likes and which should be maintained in PES 2012, which I claimed to disagree. PES 2012 has needed of completely new way responsible, freedom line control system, completely new system of close ball control and overall improved system of tricks. PES 2011 is just uncontrollable, the players in it are move like such retared and idiots, but not like profesional football players. They react to late and not in this way what i want i want to do. But Adam likes it, I do not, but what does it matter what I like, no one would hear me,thet hear that Adam.
So, from now I don't have high expectations for PES 2012.

I would be really surprised if you thought otherwise. Almost 100% of your posts have the sole intention to bash Konami or bash WENB. You make it sound like Adam has any control over what happens with PES, lol. Not doing much for useful input yourself.

Anyway, did anyone sent any feedback from here to this mail: pesfeedback@konami.de ? According to Jon Murphy's twitter, it's the official way to feedback stuff to Konami (when there's no Official Feedback Forum).

I'm an opponent of the next-gen-versions of PES. I don't see so much potential to improve this bad game.
KONAMI destroyed this wonderful game series.

My suggestion is: KONAMI, please go back to PES 6. Start to improve this game.
For now without the next-gen graphics, they're absolute not needed. The gameplay is the most important thing.

It would be absolute fantastic, if they would do it.
And yes, I thought about collect signatures from many PES players in all the PES forums around the world.

So guys. I think we could make it. We only have to be a great crowd, maybe KONAMI change the way to make the future games.
If you're a supporter of this idea, please write it here. Maybe we can open a new thread for this hugeness project.
Maybe it's megalomaniac, but KONAMI have to hear us, the customers.

That's not the way the world works. I would prefer they started a new game from scratch than doing the stuff you suggest. PES 6 isn't a good base to build upon, especially in next-gen consoles, no matter what you think, any game dev will tell you this, it would be suicidal right now.

The problem: How to make the perfect football game
The solution:

Step1: Get WE9LE
Step2: Don't do anything stupid with gameplay which is perfect in WE9LE; better not to even look at it KONAMI to not get tempted
Step3: Get rid of 1 single (minor) bug it has
Step4: Put 360 in it
Step5: Make it next-gen in graphics, updated rosters and all the "visuals"

You're done KONAMI

ps. KONAMI response: "Naaaaaaah"

I never played the old games as I was a FIFA player until this year but it sounds like you guys should trade in your Xbox 360's and PS3's and go back to the old generation of consoles and play PES 6 and edit the rosters and strips yourselves every year. If gameplay means more than graphics, why don't you do it?

I preferred Formula 1 with V12 engines....action movies from the 80's and 90's and watching Serie A when Milan had the 3 dutchmen and Robbie Baggio was scoring beautiful goals every week....but I'm not going to cry about it all day and collect signatures.

Started with Fifa 97 ;)

ps. WC98 has the best intro ever :>

We do it, sure. Nobody plays on 05/06 rosters.

I preferred Formula 1 with V12 engines....
This is a nice example, but you got it wrong man. It's like having a great looking car, with nice paint, and all shiny and all but with V6 engine, and then you have this other car, who ain't as pretty, doesn't have as nice paint, and is looking kinda weird(although not bad), but who has 12V engine.

Now this is an accurate example man.

Which car do you think a proffesional drivers would pick?

I'm just an enthusiast of the game(football in general). Have nothing against nice graphics, next get visuals and all, don't get me wrong. But it's still football simulation, and number 1 for me, is how is gameplay, and if the game is as close to reality(gameplay-wise, not visual-wise) as possible, with as little problems. WE9LE is that game. It ain't perfect, but this is the game, if you want to have 100% satisfaction from playing a football game.

This.

I really wish that Konami would start from scratch and develop a brandnew revolutionary football-game!

Brandnew animation-engine, brandnew AI-engine, brandnew graphics-engine... it would be awesome.

Of course it would cost a lot of money and time first and the first version would be rough around the edges but it would pay off so handsomely down the road.

I don't agree with You because PES doesn't need new brand ENGINE. The problem with next gen PES was of no use new technologies like motion capture. In the past (Pes 2008) they didn't have good BASIC. If you compare FIFA 08 to FIFA 09 technically you will see big STEP forward. Why? Because FIFA 08 was good BASIC to produce FIFA 09. The same situation right now is in PES 2011. The game is not brillant but is a good BASIC in the futere like was FIFA 08. If KONAMI will use opportunity to produce PES 2012 like FIFA did from 08 to 09 they can be on the TOP. It's depend what they will make with new PES. I I have no doubt that KONAMI will use opportunity becasue:

1. The have good BASIC like PES 2011

2. The changed mentality in nex gen era(They want produce simulation game)

3. They have new big team to produce next PES

4. They invest more money in new PES

5. They want compete with EA

6. They have big pressure from community and media
