PES 2011 Master League Online beta Feedback thread

Well, my fears with the rainbow flick are confirmed, fella ran right down the middle of my half, done 3 in a row, nothing I could do about it, defenders stood admiring then free shot on goal.

Agree, it is pretty stupid, you must have more options!

Another thing that annoys me is when a corner is deflected, a LOT of times the ball goes to the half circle outside the penalty area, and a rival player is there to take an easy shot... I saw them from PES 2009 I think!

I agree, matchmaking needs work and could be a mode-breaker if not. I was matched-up with a D4 player yesterday with a very strong team against my team which has six default players, and the five players I have signed are all less than £1.4m. I held my own and lost 3-2 but the mismatch in the quality of both squads was considerable.

I've also come up against a few sprint whores who've signed 3 or 4 quick players and just run at you the whole game and look for cutbacks. It's quite an effective tactic, which is a shame. One guy had Obinna and Agbonlahor giving my default back line grief and I got dicked-on.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLL about broken clock.
Today I have faced some good teams in names but I have lost only 2 games, 1 in the first phase of the tournament and the other in a penalty shootout, where is kinda lottery since the penalties are HARD to score.

I got two new players today with the help of the money raised in that tournament: Montolivo and Thiago Silva. So long I have bought Vargas, Biabiany, Rossi, Felipe Melo and those two new guys. First friendly match I won 3-1. I will play more later today!
 
can somebody tell me about player progression? do they get better stats like in normal ML? Or is it static?
 
Anyone else finding this game is slowing down more and more must be an increase in the number of users. Thursday must have been the worst in terms of disconnections and that damn slowdown.
 
Baaaad connections today got disconnected about 4/6 times before 1pm today. Twice against this 1 guy in Brazil. Also I couldn't find D4 players at one stage but there were over 400 people online

Agreed, in the free kicks against you, if you deselect the nearest player from the ball, selecting him again takes ages or just you cant select him.

Cool games we had the other day freMM...

Some issues with passing and also cursor confusion when trying to pass in small spaces between more than two players, sometimes the ball will hit a player as the cursor did not change, leading to losing possession.
Players also do not seem to have situation awareness, ie when they are near a touch-line there is no extra effort to keep this in play, they just stroll along unaware, same when the goalkeeper makes a mistake

The game feels amazing, just so much freedom about everything!

Did anyone notice the return of the 'precious' auto-sliding? So far I got just yellow, that's not very great. I really hope that that'll be fixed in the final release, someone knows about this?

Speaking of player selecting, one thing that persists from previous versions is on opponent's free kicks, if you take the effort to select a defender and move him into position to mark or block the shot, the other player only has to change the free kick setup then change it back for all the player positions to reset and the kick to be taken quickly :RANT:

Can't be that hard just to change the players taking the kick and leave everyone else alone?
 
Unfortunately it looks like the Kick Off Glitch from PES 2010 is still in the game, and actually worse. :(

There is a bug in the programming that renders the defending side inept straight from kick-off. This is very noticable in PES 2010, and over in the PEEL leagues, there is an unwritten rule, where you always pass back to your keeper first from kick-off, this eliminates the glitch. I have conceded quite a few of these goals on the beta from kick-off, usually just after I have scored. I conceded 3 in row in a 4-3 win this morning. When my opponents goal's were replayed, every time the replays started from my opponents kick-off, thats how quick these can be scored. It's no coincidence, it happens. Keep an eye out for it. They need to fix this.

agree with the two posts above. One thing that bugs me about the keepers is that I don't get that weird movement they do once they have the ball in their hands. It's like they are physically unable to run normally, instead they use this hunched sort of slow run... I don't know.

There are a few whiners online, who always have to give football lessons after a game when they don't win. Yeah I'm sorry I didn't play blazing attacking football against your vastly superior team. Now get over it.

LOL like a stupid guy from Argentina yesterday who sent me an agressive message complaining about lag (?) and told me "learn to play" when he were trashed by my team which was not superior LMAO
 
I had my ass handed to me by a guy with Cronaldo, Ibrahimovic and Rooney upfront and the rest of the team was insanely good, Ceasar in poles, Perea, Essien, yopu name it he had it I held him to 1-1 till the beginning of the 2nd half but sort of gave up from utter annoyance.

I mean right from kick off this guy takes Ronaldo and speeds to the sideline in a straight diagonal line. And so the game continued, every time he just ran to the byline or tried a long ball from the back.

Seriously what the fuck goes on in sucha persons head. "Hmm I think this time I will run around with one player till I get into the box or shoot at Lothar every chance".
Then to make matters worse everytime I tried to breakaway he commits a slide tackle from behind. He beat me 5-2 the cunt.
 
with all the changes going down there is still some basic stuff that needs sorting. Like the oft mentioned goal kick. I don't want to have to make an agreement with my opponent before every game not to pressure the 1st defender. For Christs sake just let us pass to anyone, not just that one guy!

Totally agree. I've actually starting hoofing it long from my goalkicks, but aiming towards the corners, and I find 90% the ball is won by my player near the touchline half way up the pitch. My 3-5-2 formation works a treat for this. I normally never win possession from my own goal-kicks when I knock them long.

A good example of a hyper-competitive gamer rather than a football fan. I've come up against many of these.
 
Someone on the WENB boards made a good point about the UK version being released a week later than European version and how this will affect the MLO. Will UK players be a week behind the rest of Europe in MLO, and as such at a disadvantage? (weaker squads and already inflated player prices) Or will Konami delay the start of MLO until the UK version comes out?

This needs to be considered.

I think there should be a community ignore list, where all members of a community can pool their ignore lists together. Maybe it should come up before you agree to join that the person is flagged (with a reason why, perhaps?) and ask you if you want to continue anyway or look for another opponent.

:LOL:Me and Intrepid thought we were the only people to notice this. The kick off glitch has been in every incarnation of PES since the PS2 days. And with the L2 button in PES2011 they can become "almost" unstoppable. But with the ref being so leniant a deliberate foul on the player usually breaks the kick off spell!!

I also hope they find a fairer way off dealing with the transfer valuation in MLO. I'd find it a tad unfair to any player hoping to come in after a couple of months trying to build a team but having no money to do so with players value skyrocketing. It would make that mode almost redundant to some new players.

This....sad part is the game has to cater for them else it loses support as the majority are these boys.

Thats what beta is for, to find mistakes, so now they can start to repair :-)
 
After 2 days of quick matches, I was gonna play my first cup. Should be started right now, but 'Entries for this Competition are currently closed'. :(
