PES 2011 Discussion thread

They should make better lighting(Pes 2010),colours(Pes 2010) and use antyaliasing in full version becasue seriously this game need it. Too much pixels are in Pes 2011 on PS3.

Evilwombat you can get it on the Japanese PSN store. There are youtube videos that teach you how to make a japanese account for the PS3. It is not a big deal if you follow the directions. I am tempted to do it myself but I would just be too heartbroken if any fixes from the PES demo would not make it to the full game. Meaning PES11demo < WE11demo > PES11full = unhappy me.

Its not fixes,its tweaks and finetuning and its always the same for demos.Unless you release a demo after the game launches its never going to be the same as the final game.Even ea work along the same lines its standard in this industry.Demos have to be ready well in advance because of the licensing issues and clearance thats required from the hardware companys and there networks.

I'm dying for PES to be good this year.. haven't played PES since it went to next gen.. converted to FIFA unfortunately, i mean FIFA 11 is a GOOD game, if not great.. but it misses that PES feeling, something about it..
that's why i'm tempted by what Expander is saying.. so i might go try the whole Japanese account thing
 
Expander, you playing the we demo on PS3 or Xbox?

Just made myself a Japanese account :) have a jappanesee xbox account now :) it'll help my kid brother out aswelll since he get his ace combat demo quicker lol!
 
Expander, I'm really hoping you're right. Like the game but it certainly could use a little extra polish. If you're a konami mole, you did you're job 'cause now I'm even more excited to play the final version (but like someone else said, if you're wrong I'll join the others to hunt you down!).
 
just my thoughts :

I do not believe PES2011 is some sort of 'Konami's FIFA 08' because in many ways it is evident that the game still use the same old engine, a more convincing evidence is that the PC demo already 'patched' the same way just like previous demos last few years. They're simply added more features every year, it is not a bad thing, however as proved many times in the game industry, there are times when re-starting from the scratch would be a better solution (technically, not rebooting the franchise).

I have no idea why they chose to stick to old engine.

It's getting difficult not to get a stonker on over the prospect of the full copy of this beauty arriving through my door in 18 days. First thing I'm doing is trying to recreate White Hart Lane, with perhaps heroes from Spurs' history looking down from the skies like Gods.
 
If anything PES2011 is proof that a new engine is not needed. It still needs smoother and more varied animations to keep the Fifa crowd happy, but the gameplay is all there and as good as it's ever been.

You experience moments in this game that just don't happen in Fifa and for that reason alone I think there is plenty of untapped potential in the current engine.

It's becomming increasingly common now for posters who you have not seen in this thread suddely appear a week after PES and FIFA have been released with FIFA obviously shite this year, as every year imo.

All them having some pop accross PES's bow as it seems it may overtake FIFA as the game to own once again. Engine not right here, too pixely there....

In my eyes PES will beat FIFA as the game to own every year, i have stuck by her through thick and thin and even if Konami ceased to make anymore PES i'd simply stop playing football games as EA would no doubt bully any other developers into a Kobayashi Maru!!

Every game PES brings it just has that something

It wasn't on the HK Store on Saturday. I downloaded from the Japanese store

Ea paid them off! Or Konami didn't offer enough financial incentives!

I dunno but 3D Juegos has lost all credibility with that score! Do they think we are all stupid? We can see this game is clearly brilliant from the demo, and the master league beta even :CONFUSE:!

Also in Master League, transfer activity setting is back, so you tone down the amount of CPU transfers :)

ML 2010 was fucking crazy :LOL:

When is the transfer update?
