PES 2011 Discussion thread

Those reviews only cement the belief that i hold that i will only judge a game when i play it myself!!

Can't believe those clowns have some influence on the young kids mind who read their "review"

I quite like the fact that the mainstream media are gonna mark PES11 down and FIFA up.

Lets keep PES11 'indie' its for the purists, its for the hardcore.

Listen.. if the folks at evo-web are 95% positive then thats all the indication we need that PES11 is a great game. the folks at evo-web were disgusted in 2008,2009 and 2010 by PES because there is no bullshit here.

let the kids buy their magazines and see the scroes they give and go and buy FIFA, but the hardcore know...lets keep it our secret!

I dont want PES to be universally loved! if it is that means it is catering for everyone...and that means it is selling out!, selling its soul! Seabass has never done this, even if he does fuck up royally ( see PES 08,09,10)

and anyway, anyone who thinks FIFA11 is better than PES11 is a FUCKIN MORON!!! (cough)

I got the WE demo a few days ago and imo WE games have always been slightly better than Pes. Don't know how but that's how itseems to me.

btw, don't buy the game from a European store, the English Commentary is only on UK copies, apparently.
 
Guys, can any of you ask Jon Murphy in twitter about any chances to improve the level of detail in the different versions of the game?
 
Does anyone know what the default difficulty level for the WE demo is, I presume it is Professional like the UK version but maybe not, in any case I played one game with the difficulty set to one right of the default and "Green Zone" crossing is the same, sadly.
 
Is there a link anywhere on here for this PC patch with tons of teams or a certain site I should be looking towards to get them myself?
 
I've seen many messages suggesting/asking whether the final build is different - guys it's not and the producer John Murphy has said as much! See below:

Otherwise, a question - Will there be a problem with option files when it comes to the Euro version vs. the UK version? I ask because I am in the US and will be far too impatient to wait and will probably get an imported version. Also, what about Xbox 360 vs PS3, will it be much harder to get it for the 360?

I downloaded the Japanese demo this morning. No option for English that I could find. Also I noticed on the screen with Messi lower left it also says version 1.0 which is the same as the UK download. Hate to buy a game which would cost me much more w/o the translation esp if it was virtually the same game.

Maybe those vids are being played at higher speed which is why it looks a little smoother? Or maybe it's like the saying: people will see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear.

Nice to hear some commentary though, even if it's in French!
 
With the WE games i used to get Fernando's translation patch, but not sure how that works with the new gen games. I would just get Pes, not alot of difference.
