Your right Lami it did, but like everything Konami tweak for the better, it's more apparent now than ever before. In the older PES games, you really only saw the effects when your player was totally shattered, i.e. when he cant run.
lol i think he apologised for that already. a few pages back. the game finally "clicked" for him.

It's the PES effect. It's been like that for years.
When people usually play PES for the first time they think it's ok, some think it's crap and so on and so on. It takes a while to adjust to and get used to. It been like that since the ISS days!
Players who came off of FIFA 10 and FWC, a fair few of them won't like this game because there isn't instant control, it's harder to sprint, not every player moves the same and in general everything is very different.
Once you get used to the game you will absolutely love it!
I liked Expander's post on why he wasn't liking the game at first, he was trying to play it like fifa, simple! Once he stopped that and instead found the usual predictable and over clinical FIFA tactics don't work and you have to play proper football normally, surprise, surprise he loves it.
There's a few people (i mean only a few) around who have criticized the game after playing 2 matches. I bet they were doing exactly what Expander was! You can't play PES 2011 like you do with FIFA
Not only won;t it get you anywhere but you need to adapt.

Can someone please tell me how to do a quick restart after a foul. Also, how do you shield an opponent with the ball. In past games, I would just hold R1 for my player to stop and he would automatically shield the ball if an opponent was behind him. This doesn't seem to work in this new version.
Well i guess its a good thing then. coz i dont have a console, and i tried the fifa games on pc and didnt like them, and have only played pes on pc,ps2 and ps3(my friend's consoles). i actually have been playing pes2010 the past few days, and I must say the game has gotten some sort of idea right, but the way its implemented really has got a lot of faults. If PES 11 is a massive improvement on that, I can't wait to get my hands on it.

thanksi have a portable pc with 3 years asus. i have a g force 60 7300 nvidia, i dont know maybe is not able to hold the new game in hi definition,otherwise i have a samsung tv hd 42 inches,in ps3 good graphics
Mate you mean a Geforce Go 7300? thats a laptop gfx card right? its a pretty old card. don't think it would be able to handle gfx at high for pes 11. Maybe you should get the PS3 one like ono said.

It's now 7pm in the evening GMT, so 8pm CET. The demo is released in 5 hours from now.
Just a question which I'm sure has been answered far too many times - is the 360 demo out tomorrow, I know the PS3 is getting it tomorrow - but the 360 date was unnannounced last time I paid attention to PES (been focusing on criticising FIFA too much)

Yup! You can google for "time in cet now" to get the time and compare.
Guess you're right. I've only ever subbed players on the red. I'll need to notice the latest tweaks more in the full game.

I'm not understanding why people hate the pitch view for PKs so much. It makes perfect sense that up and down correspond to left and right on the appropriate end of the pitch.

The demo still has the PES2010 view. I don't like it at all. I want the same system but with the behind-the-striker cam.
Also I have moaned about the ref decisions a lot and have been scrutinising them somewhat. It appears I was wrong all the penalties I have conceded were justified somewhat in the replays. It appears that I am making contact with the player first. It's right but wrong in a sense that the refs pick them up too well. I tackled the Com from the side but his knee hit my players knee before my defender made contact with the ball and the penalty was given.
If it were a real match it would have been impossible to spot unless the ref was standing next to the action and watching with an eagle eye. I don't know what to make of it at the moment. It's almost as if the collision detection is spot on but impossible to pick up IRL.

i see.as i have not also played the demo , these vastly opposite impression (may be 2 in a million this year) makes us confused where the other guys are taking the game to such high standard !
