PC Gaming

Im so happy for you. Finally you could order it.
Crazy high quality PSU you went for 😅
Yeah, well the Gold one wasn't available since month and the platinum was, so I pressed the "yolo" button and took it.

Will let you know when I got it for the fan curves you promised :)

I have a platinium myself, but gold is completely enough.
Wouldnt buy platin again because of the high price.

In UK price difference between Gold and Platinum is minimal about 10-20%.
The main difference in price comes with Wattage when you go over 850W prices start increasing considerably, but not many people buy PSU's over 1000W. Although this might start now with 1000W PSU needed for a 5090, so the 6000 series will probably need much bigger PSU's and the majority of PSU's over 1000W are Platinum or Titanium.

If I was building a new machine over 2K I wouldn't skimp £20 on a PSU - @Cesc Fabregas made the right choice with Platinum.
The tiering is slightly more important than the rating, but most Platinum and all Titanium are Top Tier.

Looks very likely I will be skipping the 5000 series cards.
Prices are now leaking for the manufactured boards with the cheapest being £2400 for a Zotac, so they are coming in £400 more than the FE cards.
At those prices will 100% keep my 4090.

In terms of rasterization and without the fake frames, the 5090 should only be about 25%-30% faster then the 4090. Not worth upgrading 👍🏻

Hearing a lot of different opinions..
Most are saying about 15-20%, I don't use DLSS as you get weird artifacts and ghosting.

According to Nvidia:- (Take with a pinch of marketing bullshit for now)

NVIDIA Confirms RTX 50 Gaming GPUs Native “Non-DLSS” RT Uplifts:

  • RTX 5090 30% Faster Than 4090,

  • 5080 15% Faster Than 4080,

  • 5070 Ti & 5070 20% Faster Than 4070 Ti & 4070

Thats so bad. Its all about the ai features now. What a horrible new GPU generation.

I’ll wait for the end of January and have a look at some benchmarks.
I’d prefer a non-used product though because of warranty and service.

“Last gen” models (40series and 79series) will probably go cheaper at online retailers too. At least I hope so.

Almost the same as @bsmaff posted. Not looking good.
