Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

Go to my thread, use the search within this thread function (A Godsend!) and put in his name or any other player you wanna know about and read all you can find for now. I'll be adding more about him later but there's already more than enough for you to get a 'taste' of what he's like.

@Thomas, I thought they wanted at least 6M! :|

Bad sell for Sochaux. He was worth more and has potential to become awesome just like Gourcuff. Should have gotten more $$$ for him! :(

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

That Menez was sold is bad news...never saw him play irl but judged by how PLF made him (which has to be accurate) in his OF, he's a fantastic player...

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

He's a pretty good player already but the reason why that is too cheap is because of what he can become in future years Stan and not so much because of his current ability which although good is nothing out of this world right now.

I think he wanted to leave though at end of this season I heard a little while ago and once he heard about Monaco being interested.. it was always gonna be hard to keep him. :/

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

(www.AtlasLions.eu) Moroccan international striker Mounir El Hamdaoui has signed a two-years contract with an option to extend with two more years with Dutch premier league outfits Willem II.

El Hamdaoui (21) will join Willem II as of 1st July 2006.

El Hamdaoui started his career at the club of his hometown Rotterdam, Excelsior. In 74 apps for the Rotterdam club he scored 32 goals a thing that attracted the attention of English side Tottenham Hotspur who signed him for three seasons till 2008.

Mounir, had terrible luck in terms of injuries - typified by dislocating his shoulder during what was a promising loan spell in the Championship with Derby County last season – and wanted to return to Holland.

Willem II chairman Hans Verbunt said about Mounir: ‘El Hamdaoui was on top of the wishing list of coach duo Dennis van Wijk and Andries Jonker who were looking for a replacement of Moussa Dembele.

We are happy that after weeks of negociations we concluded this transfer. Again we managed to sign a young talented striker.’

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

I myself am happy to see him back in Holland. It's what I wanted. I hope he can stay away from injuries though and help Willem II along with few other re-inforcements into a better league position next year.

p.s. That avatar cracks me up still

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

Eli Kroupi (Nancy) >>> a team in Emirats (loan)
Tosin Dosunmu (Anvers) >>> Nancy

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

I don't know if Pontus is a good signing. He was a good prospect years ago (that's why he moved to Monaco) But in the last seasons his career has state a bit below.
But I will give him a chance to prove his worth.

Força SPORTING!

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

PLF, Dani Alves is leaving then... Barca or Liverpool? Whats your take?

Just wanted to show some respect your way, I have learned lots about Football and consider myself one of the best with information. I rarely find your opinion wrong, thanks for the info on other topic on Portugese and French football as its my weakest area!

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

mattpj, yeah I guess that's what it means mate. It means he's leaving most likely and that Sevilla board couldn't avoid the temptation and accepted offers of a certain club. :( (Probably Liverpool although Barca have long been interested too and a lot of other clubs).

I myself don't support any of these clubs so I'm a neutral but I wanted to see him in Sevilla shirt still next season as they're building a very decent team there and improving and he looked right 'at home' and playing confidently and amazingly in front of those supporters! Too bad it won't happen though as I hardly think there's a chance he'll stay now. :/

Well, for the only 12 games he had, he impressed me (a little). Maybe it's because the other players were terrible.

Matias Delgado (FC Basel) --------> Besiktas JK (Tur)

Good signing. Been following this player since his days at River Plate and Argentinos Juniors. Played awesome against M'Boro in Uefa Cup, and ran that game. Reminds me of a young Riquelme at Boca.
