Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

Good. What a cunt :D Is Maresca leaving? Maybe this signing was to replace Maresca who I heard might move to Inter .... which I hope is false because I think Maresca is reaching his potential at Sevilla.

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

I sure as hell hope not. For once Maresca was given enough confidence by coaching staff and lot of playing time and he showed what he's capable of once again.

I don't think he'd want to leave Sevilla at all, one season at club and he already seems to love it like a Spanish boy born and bred in same area all his life. But of course club may force him to if a large offer comes in, they don't want to reject. :| (Hope not though!!)

In anycase though great signing for Sevilla! If only they can keep the likes of Alves, Maresca and who they already have and add a couple more signings like this, they should at the very least make the CL that this year they so narrowly missed out on.

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

i dont know if Villarreal wanted to sign him(specially having, senna, tacchinardi and josico for that role(arzo was loaned out)).. the conection by Poulsen and Villarreal is just that Villarreal recived 1,5 million euro with this transfer as it was a clause in his contract.

Cesar Arzo is loaned out for next season Bruno?

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

yes...i think Villarreal made some kind of deal with Recreativo Huelva, becasue they loaned Valencia(ecu) , C.Arzu and its almost oficial that Santi Cazorla and Hector Font will go there too. personaly i like Santi, but i dont know if with Pires and Cani in town he would get as much minutes as he needs to improve his game. maybe its better for him to stay a season at recreativo.

This situation is making many fans mad in Villarreal, casue they are loaning out every home made palyer...only Xisco, Alcantra and Marcos(that i can remember from the top of my mind) are staying.

No surprise, he looks good on that left flank and would be a better signing than Carlos, I doubt he will leave though but as usual, money > everything.

Two great buys!!

I hope Sochaux got enough money for Menez though and didn't let him go cheaply. Do you know how much roughly Thomas?

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

Anyone care to explain what Gourcuff is like? Is he one of those quick moving midfielders like Kaka? Or one of those slow moving but extremely smart playing midfielders like Pirlo/Riquelme?
I'm not trying to form comparisons, but just get an idea of the type of game he plays.

I've only heard about him, never saw him.
