There are 100 players before Messi who you would identify with freestyle and street soccer. In fact, Messi is famous for not doing any flashy tricks. Such an EA move.

Wow!! How the mighty have fallen!!

Remember him in Roma days?! VERY VERY good! Remember the goal against Lyon in CL? At that time, one of the world's best wingers, but the move to Inter and everything slowly but surely went to CRAP! And now this!! Damn!

too bad we won't seeing him on euro pitches any more. why he couldn't move to some euro team? i guess he has enough money.

Funny ehhh? Now you think its whatever to earn eg. 300 000 euro or 600 000 euro per month...but it seems its not the case if you get use to that living style...but i hope deep in my heart that they use this lot of money for charity purposes.

would be nice he is so underrated just like podolski ...i dont even know why is he playing for Köln...and why not for madrid or for milan of for mu... :CONFUSE:

Koln is his hometown and fav club. It's his home basically with his family and friends.

And don't forget he did try his luck at a much bigger club in Bayern but failed as he's not a team player and quite self-centered. He has attitude problems and combined with inconsistency and injury woes, Bayern cut their losses and allowed him to move back to his original club. He whines a lot when left on bench.

And before this season actually, he wasn't doing too well for Cologne either. Very inconsistent and much better in International Games for Germany than he's even been for his clubs so his profile is much bigger than his ability.

Also he likes being big fish in small sea and can't take being in a big team like Bayern and being just oneo f many stars and not getting on pitch at times (being rotated etc.)

Donovan on the other hand is a very experienced and talented player much like Lukasz but MUCH more of a team player. Happy to see him back at Everton for another short stint. I'm sure he'll help the club and Moyes was really keen on making this happen again and am glad to see it done.

PLF is spot on about Podolski.
Of course you can't take away from him his fantastic performances in the national team - where he was (mostly) having very good and some great games for years now. In Cologne he really only began to shine at the beginning of this year. He was able to contain his great form throughout 2011, however, and I can see himself being more confident about a second try at a bigger club. In Cologne he is basically untouchable, but also bears a lot of responsibility on his shoulders Outshining most (if not all) of his team mates in terms of talent and experience he pretty much needs to be on top of his game all the time for the club to grab some points.
Normally you would think it would help a guy to have some of that pressure lifted off him - but past and present endeavours prove Podolski is one of those players who thrive on being the center of attention. He couldn't be that in Munich and most certainly wouldn't be for Arsenal, United, Milan or the likes.

This is all speculation, though. Years have passed. Maybe he is just playing on this high level so consistently because he matured a lot. No matter where he will end up - if not completely misused he will most definitely run fast and score some screamers with his unrivalled left-hammer.
