Ok ThomasGOAL prefers PS3 but this is a 360 thread. Ok there are teething problems with a FEW ISOLATED Xbox 360's I dont think this problem will be worldwide or else what is MS playing at?

Agreed 100%. You don't know the truth in all this talk. Yes there are problems, there is no denying that but I don't think its as widespread as people are making out. Time will tell.

With regards to the PGR pics, they are not touched up at all according to the peeps over at Bizarre. Personally I trust their comments more than some fansite who can't capture and transfer images properly.

the pgr3 shot looks like it's taken on a 480p output rather than a 720p HD output.

Yes there a few defective 360's but it's the same with any electrical appliance, people are just over reacting and some are just blatantly stirring. As for that PGR3 shot that is purposly made to look bad, every thing i've read suggests people have been blown away by the graphics so someone has taken the worst screen posible and decided to make a meal out of it, some people are really sad and have nothing better to do. I'm still getting my 360 if I can, only an idiot would believe the propoganda and change their mind.

well all the 360 games dont look that bad. Just seen a new demo walk through of Ghost Recon and it looks stunning. The demo vid came free with the latest official 360 mag.

I gotta say it looks amazing, and im not even into first person shooters.

The press shots from Bizarre haven't been touched up, but all the ones I've seen have been taken using the game's photo mode which essentially, is touching up because it implements full-screen AA and other nice things not present while actually playing the game - same scenario as Gran Turismo 4.

It's not just someone using a crap screen, I've played it and this was at an official MS event on a HDTV that they set up, and I noticed it immediately. Call of Duty 2 suffers from the same thing.

Yep thats the game for me too, gonna wait till spring when the mad rush has died down and GR3 will be out. Unless of course Konami release a next gen pes :)

well PDZ is very good, not 100% sure about the enemy AI though.

Just wondering, is anyone here buying the Core pack? Or is everyone buying the bundle package at £279.99?

Im pretty sure a lot of people are getting the £280 pack. I hope some of you guys do grab the £210 pack, gonna have loads to sell on launch :(

I doubt you'll have any left mate, when you run out of Premium packs everyone will just grab a core I think, at least that's my plan if I can't get the big pack.

Same here tbh. The core version is a just a waste tbh....I'll be happy to play my PS2 until stock comes next year. To be frank, I don't even get to play my PS2 these days anyway :eh:

Thats what alot of ppl are saying. I guess when push comes to shove though, many of them will sway towards a core pack if they cant get one before xmas.

Core pack, plus bolt on a hard drive = premium :) I think I will survey the stock and pick up a Core one if I cant get a straight forward premium and pick up a hard drive.

Uh not quite. Core + Harddrive = same price as Premium but you dont get;

The extra more expensive cable, the wireless controller and the LIVE headset - which totals approximately another £60.

I honestly dont see why peoiple would spend that much extra for the core pack. If we'd had a few 9.9 or 10's in reveiews maybe but if I dont get a Premium, Bill Gates can fuck off until the New Year.

Would you lot say its too late to preorder one from sites like Amazon cuz they dont guarantee the delivery till 2006.

Whats the best way to go? Preorder or run into the shops like a maniac before other people get there? And I'm looking to get the premium pack.

CUz the way I see it, if the preordered X360 is received in 2006, isnt it a better idea to just wait till then and simply pick one up from the shop? Cuz since its after christmas holiday, people wont be going crazy for one anyway.

Its too late mate, if you want a Premium pack you can try on launch day, but I wouldnt think you will get any luckier, there will be Core packs out there on Launch day, and the list above has Asda Stores which will have some of both, but as you can see, they are scarce man.

Dont bother pre-ordering from any website now, just wait till next year if you dont want to be a mad hatter or dont want a Core pack.

ASDA is open 24 hours often, so you could phone thurs 1st Dec at 12am!
Will they be brought out then? ...or will staff snap them up!
Also Blockbuster may sell them.

Just checked my pre-order with Game. I ordered through their website. The order is being picked and I have a tracking number, just phoned my bank and the money has been taken from my account, if other people have ordered through the game.net website check your accounts.

Well my local ASDA told me they were getting 17 consoles in, not the 12 stated in that list so I dunno!
