Regrading stock issues, Ive been told today that Games major stores will get enough machines to cover pre-orders PLUS more besides. The Manchester Arndale store has around 150 pre-orders, so I think we're getting 180 premium packs in! Something to do with the company demanding more units than everyone else or we wont stock any at all lol.

The Manchester Fort store will be having around 5 premium packs to sell first come first serve. Anyone whos local go there.

Will give you all loads more info sometime next week, will be getting a store list of how many machines will be spare arund the country.

If you have pre-ordered at Gamestation I would give them a call to see if you are going to get a launch day machine or not.

A message on their website says that not all pre-orders, even those before their cut off date of 24th September, will get a machine on launch day, & maybe not even before xmas.

It appears all Gamestation stores have had their promised allocations reduced by Microsoft. My local store is now only getting 22 premium packs in. I was told I am number 21 so looks like I could be lucky.

Played COD at the Duomo today on an HDTV. Very poor graphics and lots of jaggies. I dont see what the fuss is. Only the smoke and explosions impressed me, but everything else looked like Battlefield 2 on Medium settings.

It's not a PC port, it was developed alongside the PC version but seperately. Not to mention, it actually looks better on PC.

I would question the setups in the stores. The 23" samsung TV's are not true HD so maybe that is an issue.

i definitely second that... fight night looks pretty decent but i'll most likely purchase it with the *looks round, dosen't see CWright* PS3 when it's out late next year......BTW the PS3 is not a swear word on here or is it??:mrgreen:

well first off the pods shown are true HD. I set up our machine up so am pretty sure on that one. The lead is from the premium pack, so as far as I know its the HD lead. And the Samsung TV's are defo HD ready.

as for the fight night demo, it wasnt as impressive as the E3 demo shown by Sony at their conference. But then again this latest trailer is more believable than the previous one. You can see elements thats it ingame.

I think the best thing Ive heard today (which might already of been mentioned on here before) is the fact that yet again Microsoft have left region encoding to the publishers, putting no actual region lock in the machine.

Alot of you guys will say 'yeh, but that was the same as xbox' but it seems due to similar reasons as why sony wana bring out their next console region free we will see a huge number of games region free.

Already people within the business have found out virtually all of the US launch titles work on the Japanese consoles. Hope its the same over here, mainly because a) we get games here last and b) Winning Eleven will be out over in Nippon land before us (I presume). Really hope we can play it too
