cool i will give it a go when teh time comes. blooming hell my 360 is fucking loud man. jesus Christ its annoying!

This is fucking weird.. turned on my 360 there and it had a weird sort of picture effect.. thought it was maybe a theme mistake but loaded up a game and it was the same. I can only describe it as a sort of 'cartoon' effect that you apply to photos, with this example:

Not as drastic as this but it's so weird that it's the only thing I can think of.

Then turned it off and on again, all lights on and so on but when I change to the AV channel I normally use it's just blank..

Am I making any sense?
 
You could sell that second image for millions! :DD

On another note, I think we have discussed this? But what's the best steering wheel and pedals for 360? I'm gonna get a proper set up ready for Forza 3 :)).
 
if you want to have the real good stuff for a reasonable price go for the fanatec wheels.

they have the turbo wheel with shifter, wireless i think, especially manufactured for the 360, at around 300€. maybe a bit more right now. they've got high demand on everything so better order now. they are not as exclusive as some other sim racing companies like BRD but nowhere near mass production like logitech. (compared to the g25 / 27 the fanatec wheels have a more realistic size than the "toy-ish" small logitech stuff. also their whole mechanics and internal, belt-driven system is quiet and offers a really realistic force feedback experience)

and DO NOT BUY the cheap carrera wheel. it's their low end one and it is noisy as hell, really really bad.

they've got everything you need and the quality is excellent :D

company is basically run by 2 or 3 people with everything being assembled in china, they really look into their manufacturing processes and only release high quality stuff and take care of their customers. worth spending the money for this
 
yeah i guess the wheels should work with that, but not sure.


they've got a rather expensive cockpit setup also and a stand only for just 100€, but you'd have to get your own seat for that
 
Yeah, I think I'll look to get a seat and stand combo like that one I linked to.

Right, the Playseat Evolution in White is looking like it's going to be my seat / stand of choice. Now I need to find a good steering wheel and pedals that support stick shift, and can be attached to the seat / stand.

The Playseat Evolution is £300 off Amazon, so I would be looking to spend about £100, give or take some either way, on the wheel / pedals, and mounting kit (if needed). Any ideas? Help appreciated!

I'm now thinking I'm going to get the official MS wheel and pedals. It's paddle shift not stick, but that's not a deal breaker for me. I know it's a good wheel, and I know it fits properly into the playseat evo :TU:.
 
Gameseek.co.uk have the Playseat Evolution for £260, and the MS Xbox Wheel Mounting Kit for £20. Then the MS (mainly)-Wireless Wheel and Pedals apparantly come with Forza 2 at GAME. So I'll have to check that out :)).
 
I was wondering, for the ones who own a 360 wireless wheel. I'm finding it difficult to find a comfortable spot to use it, how do you lot play with it? Eg. do you use a table infront of you.
 
Mines not a wireless one but i use it on my lap and it has hooks that slide out of the bottom that go over your thighs to keep it in place

That works great for me and is nice and comfy

I had one of them until the doorbell rang I got up quick, went flying broke my face and got a gear stick up my anus (that bit was quite nice).

Steep. And I'll use it loads. Especially once Forza 3 is out.

I don't know how you can use a wheel on your lap. Mine moves all over the place. Your legs have to move when you're doing the pedals so therefore the wheel will move it it's connected to your legs :LOL:.
 
The one i borrowed has some legs that pull out of the bottom and form round your thighs so its great and very comfortable

Is that the official MS wheel or a Mad Katz wheel or...?
