Master League Adventures and other ML stuff 2011!

Shimzu is wayyyy too good to be given to you when you start the game. Even his shooting which has greyed out stats is awesome, check it out

YouTube - Shimzu goals

I am training him for a 1 on 1 finish card at the moment, when he has that he will be even more deadly, 20 goals a season material plus assists to boot.
The guy is just simply awesome, I think Im gonna have to go all out Jimmy G Force style and make a epic tribute video.

Who is this Shimzu? Great goals indeed.

Been playing some ML offline and some MLO and definitely MLO continues to be very addictive but very frustrating sometimes. It seems to be that we have to understand that football is sometimes just like that.

Still bloody editing the game.

Just got around 10 or 11 teams to go, I'm in the process of listing every International player with a club team to ensure they can be bought in the game.

I've left in the Turkish and Greek fake teams and players though as that will tie in with my league. Just also got the last 10 or 11 strips to sort out if I can be really bothered. Might not bother in the end as they're in Division 2 so not overly important, but guess I'll see how long it might take.

Have got mostly correct squads for everyone in the Division 1, but the 2nd division I've not bothered as much and just edited player names to tie in with club nation.

Hopefully be up and running tonight or most probably tomorrow or wednesday.

Hi Frank.
I've been playing FIFA for a couple of years and this year i'm defintely again a PES-adept.
All the editing that is necessary is infiraiting isn't it?
In FIFA you are spoiled because everyting is there...only the gameplay never gave me the thrill that PES 2011 is giving me (again at last).

Hi Mate,

Tbh, I just can't take to FIFA at all, never have enjoyed it with the exception of the old Megadrive games that they had, LOL.

Yes the editing is a pain in the butt, I could've just left it and used the teams as already listed, but I've kinda being doing the same thing for the past few years and decided to go for it, I'm actually glad they have a more expanded 2nd division and the ability to edit all the teams is great so gives me more flexibility and obviously the addition of a new league is great for my use.

It's taking up plenty of game time I should be having but I'm sure it'll be worth it and tbh after this I won't bother with a single option file, kit expansion etc. The only additional thing I might try to get is the chant files and possibly stadiums, but not sure of that too. I've already made some basic stadiums to tie in with the whole Greek/Cypriot/Turkish leagues (not fancy big stadiums).

I've also managed to get my PS3 set up with my projector, had some sound problems, but that's now sorted with my home cinema kit I took from the TV (the wife never liked it anyway, too loud and our little girl has almost full control over our main tv). So it's even better now, being able to play 3 or 4 times the size of our 50" tv. :)

Had a cracking game in my ML last night away at Blackpool. You could really feel their unique style of play. Ended 1-6 after a late collapse, they were winning until 65 minutes in and then Keane, Super Pav and Lennon'Blud all ended up with braces - some say Ian Holloway let out some recent anger on their jaws.

Beat Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-finals on penalties, this was too a memorable game. I remember seeing their guy Kamara doing a specific ear-cupping celebration on Saturday when he scored against us (in that inferior mode, Real Life), so I went and assigned it to him in the game yesterday afternoon. Then he went and scored a near identical goal in the game against me and did the celebration. A little bit of wee came out.

I have just started a PS3 ML with Undinese (PS3). First match was away to Cesena.

I have an forward thinking, possession style tactic with a 4-3-3 which is rather flat in the middle. Inler, Asamoah and some other dude (Pinzi was injured) All box to box players so i decided on a energetic midfield since it suits my players :). Pasquale as pretty much a wing back and 2 strikers and a winger up top. Sanchez (for fuck sake) Was injured in training and missed the game. Forrestini who i knew from PES 2010 with Malaga, he's good just nowhere near as good as Sanchez filled in.

Despite scoring a fantastic passing goals with Zapater, yes, Zapater storming though the field (which i loved since i set my tactics for my centre backs to be adventurous! The game couldn't break away from being a highly tactical afar. I love it how because of the Ai teams, you can never take the tactical element out of Serie A, your opponents always change shape, I liked how Cesena changed their midfield about a bit to get Appiah more into the game (which he eventually scored :( )

I like how i started the better, scored, looked good but Cesena grew so much from then on, i was hanging on just for a point!

After that match i don't have a clue what the season will be like, most probably midtable, the next match vs Inter should go a long way into deciding how well i'll do!

Lastly, as a Gooner it's blasphemy i know but signed David Bently :CONFUSE:

Loving ML more than ever, the vast amount of player individuality makes signing players even more rewarding as you really have to think how they will fit into your team and whether they fit your style. A good ML would mean nothing without good gameplay and thankfully we have that this year. Love the fatigue and arrow system, although it can be frustrating at times it really does give you decisions to make and squad depth can be crucial. Dynamic growth is having a positive effect for me, the better my players play the more stats increase, the exciting thing about this for me is gives you more license to develop a player and I think its more true to life from what I have seen so far. Currently using Inter, although they are of course a strong team I am using broadcast camera and manual pass for 75% of the game so its a real challenge, I have had to concentrate to the maximum in order to gain points.

By the way does anyone know if you see a trophy celebration like last gen pes for winning a division? this wasn't in pes 2010 hoping it would return for PES 2011 although I think its to do with licenses. I know you see UEFA comps with detailed trophy ceremonies I was hoping to see this again in terms of league trophies.

So good to be back on PES after a few years of FIFA, when I am not playing the game and in the real world I find my self drifting off thinking about melvut Erdings performances and how the title race is shaping up. Thinking about PES is almost as good as playing it.

He is in your youth team in the first season he is an amazing player just needs some stamina!

Feckn still doing transfers of International players, it's taken for feckn ever.

Down to the Asian players and then if I can bear to do it, I'll update the last remaining strips of the 2nd division teams.

Already have some players ear-marked, actually all South African. Have Shabalala (or whatever it is), Mphela and Booth earmarked. I'll note the guy recommended on here from Iran, can't mind the name, but maybe look at him. I'll have 2 or 3 edited good players (always make them Greek as per team nationality) and that'll be me. Have put our rivals in Diagoras and I'll give them some boost in players.

I'm playing a couple of MLs at the moment. One with NAC Breda (Eredivisie) and one in which i've felt compelled to run with Konami's fantasy D2 league, with Ganzoraccio (D2 -> Serie A).

A brief history of Ganzoraccio

Associazione Sportiva Ganzoraccio. Founded in 1912, i Tigrotti (the Little Tigers) have spent most of their time in Division 2, even dropping down to the Third Division on a number of occasions. Both the 1930s and the mid-1970s were golden eras for the side, as they maintained their place in Serie A and even qualified for Europe for the 1974-75 season.

Nestled in the foothills of the Lombardy region, the town of Ganzoraccio, population 182,000, plays its home games at the 18,000 capacity, Stadio Comunale. Neighbours Brescia are considered their closest rivals, in a region that also plays home to the likes of AC Milan, Inter Milan, Atalanta Bergamo, Albinoleffe, Cremonese and Como.

AS Ganzoraccio are currently captained by their talismanic Portuguese skipper, Filipe Minanda, whose presence, ability and guile, dictates their midfield play, going forward. However, at the ripe old age of 39, Minanda is seeking to lead the little tigers back to Serie A, before he retires at the end of this season.

When i took charge, i persuaded Costa Rican international, Celso Borges, to ink a permanent deal, placing him in a central midfield berth. Since then, i'm pleased to have negotiated the loan signing of Fabio Borini from Chelsea, who will arrive in the January transfer window. The natural finisher will add firepower up front and get more first team opportunities.
Minanda has been terrific for me, in his 'swan song' season. Twice already, he's scored a brace, including a lovely free-kick and he's a great presence behind lone striker, Gutierrez.

Can anyone help me out? I have uploaded an OF so all the leagues are renamed. I now have no clue what the default ML D2 is and how to start there. Also, if I wish to start an all star studded ML with all the best teams in D1 league does that mean that I have to edit the leagues manually before starting an ML? (on the PS2 you could just select the teams you wanted in D1 and D2)

Thanks in advance lads!!!!

You have to edit the leagues before you start Fremm.
As for knowing what the div 2 will be...well i guess you should start editing the leagues, the start a (trial) ML...look where the division two is, start editing again (i.e. put your team in what turns out to be division 2) and then start your ML for good...

It seems to me that this is the best way to do it...i don't know a shorter way (unfortunately).

Seems like a great story about yout "tigers" prof...i will end up editing those teams like FD is doing...

Thanks gerd, i like a bit of background  . I've created my own little stadium too, with a backdrop of the alps on one side. It helps get that 'home' feel, as i'm the only club using it.

I had a cracking Coppa Italia tie against Chievo, who eventually thumped me 6-3 on aggregate. I grabbed a precious away goal in the first leg, at the Bentegodi, losing 2-1. Things looked good for a moment in the second leg, but i was sadly beaten 4-2, in an eventful encounter at my Stadio Comunale.

They're doing a good job so far, and Healy scored a few as well. At first I thought Gyan was bad missing chance after chance, but 2 games ago it clicked for him and scored a hat-trick! That was the first time I score more than a goal per game  It ended up 4-2. Then he went scoring in the next game as well, plus an assist, not bad at all :)

Sad news has just come in though, Bardsley will be out 5-9 months. Out for the rest of the season then  Not sure what idiot did that to him during training.

EDIT: It's been decided, he's out for 30 weeks.

Managed to pick up Diaby, Wilshere, and Vela from Arsenal. Wenger's gone coocoo. Actually Kirlingham, my scout, is doing a good job getting those deals for me.

Good to hear! Bad news about Bardsley, he was my first choice right back for 6 years at Sunderland, became a great little player.

With the Gaming access 1.75 patch out (Including Championship, and Arsenal4Life in the credits) I can finally start a new Master League. Might start with a Championship team.

Just finished a Dutch league with PSV, and I think I'll try and sign Afeally first, he's been in rampant form all season.

Just started my ML with Juve. First match up against Athletico. Was a very tight game and I scraped an undeserved 2-0 home victory. The 2nd game all my players were knackered but a deflection in the 88th minute meant a victory so now we are top of the league in the run up to the game against Celtic. Fingers crossed.

Had a brilliant game last night.

I was about to play Sunderland and was checking them out in the menus looking at form etc. They'd just beaten Man Utd at home 3-1 which was great as Man Utd are top in my league. I went on to start the match, I was at home and put out a 4-4-2.

Their back four were playing world class! Every time I got the ball to my front men there were two of them on to me, and when attacking on the break, they always got the ball to Malbranque who was rolling back the years. Held up play just over the halfway line, then would thread a mid-height ball through to Gyan or Bent and both those guys appeared to be packed with confidence, Gyan pulling the tricks out, Bent's shooting boots on display. Both the strikers got a goal before half-time and I was wondering what the fuck I had just seen - but in a toss-yourself-off-before-starting-the-second-half way!

Withdrew my new striker Suarez at half-time, put Gio Dos Santos on in his place, pulled him back behind and to the left of Pavlyuchenko. Put Lennon'blud further up the right-wing. Started the second half and it was more even, but I perhaps due to the shock of the first half couldn't get a shot on target. Time went on, 70th minute they lose Bramble to an injury from my foul. They take the free-kick and a stroke of luck for me, Malbranque shows tiredness and I force the ball clean off him with Bale. I cut inside, sent Super Pav through with no-one around him and managed to 'meg the keeper! 1-2.

Brought on Abate for Assou-Ekotto and van der Vaart for the tiring Modric. The heat was truly turned up now and Sunderland nearly managed a third with good play between their front men again. I ended up being limited to countering only and did so in the 82nd minute, managed to beat 3 men with VDV, sent Bale on the overlap down the left, backheel to Abate, deep cross, Pav header, 2-2!

This seemed to shell-shock them and like with many real-life similar situations, the team that has been pegged back from a healthy lead often appears winded and they seriously were. Their keeper Gordon kept them in it with a mighty double save but then in the last minute, a deflection from a Bale shot got a corner, he sends it in and Captain Huddlestone powers a header in!

There was no response from the Mackems now. Lifeless. Unlike me, roaring off my seat scaring the missus into going out the room for cocoa.

Great story Proxi...i've been playing quite a lot with Sunderland and i think they have a very good squad. At the moment i'm playing a league with them (Top player) and they only lost 1 in 8 matches against Man Utd at Old Trafford...

hehe, nice one proxi.

I'm on the verge of starting my game now, will just update some kits and that's me away.

Have just edited the fake players in my team, got rid of a lot of players by removing them from the squad list, so I have a squad of 16 to start with. Got rid of what would be termed the star player (fake player was rated '81'). I have edited 4 players who will be like my main players and the rest of the players I've just renamed them.

last game of the 2nd division. i'm 3rd so i can qualify. last game is against 17th, away. match beginns, we miss good chances, enemy scores twice, 0-2. we come back and it's 2-2 but after some chaos in the defence it's 2-3 again. we equalize and make it 3-3, we keep pushing but the match ends with a draw. the final table of the season shows that we are 4th, same amount of points as the 3rd team but they have a better goal difference. one more season in D2, life goes on.

oh, i feel sorry for u, I'd be so pissed to stay one more year in D2 because of defensive chaos....but as you say, life goes on, maybe you can sign some new players and go for the D2 title this year!

Started master league with Utd last night...first thing I did was put Rooney on transfer list (judas) managed to get a sale to Inter Milan so quickly appeased the United fans by snapping up Kaka & Modric. Made some more room in the squad by loaning out Macheda (Leeds), Obertan (Villa) & Bebe (Bolton) & i was all set to regain the title from Chelsea!

First game up was Sunderland away, started well and scored through Berbatov after 8 minutes (10 min games) but soon after despite me missing several good chances Sunderland sneaked an equaliser before the break through Bents smart finish. Pretty even second half with both sides creating chances then with minutes left my substitute Kaka sliced open the defence only for Owen the other sub to steer his shot over! Agony
1-1 it finished.

Made up for that with a routine 3-0 win over Wolved at OT next game with Kaka inspiring the team scoring two and creating a goal for Hernandez.

Liverpool at OT next up so already preparing my tactics for tonights epic...

Also started a second ML in case I get bored of Utd, this time with Leicester City. Notable signings were Palmieri from youth team, Kerlon ( rememember him with the seal dribble) on loan for season from Inter and perhaps my biggest coup Hernan Crespo on one year deal from Parma for cool 1.5 million. He is 35 now and says considering retirement but one swansong in the championship getting me promoted will do nicely.

First game was a 0-0 draw at Palace, I looked poor but the new signings didnt play so watch out derby County next up when I unleashe the quality...

Master league is so much fun with the weaker teams, its really amazing!..
being an Arsenal fan, i used to take arsenal as my team in ML and used to win everything in 2-3 seasons, which really ended the enthusiasm quickly, when playing against human oppositions was the only option left till next version would be out..
but since i recently selected West Ham as my team and now it really feels great, victories against even Aston Villa seems satisfying. everyday i just wait for the office to close so that i can take on my next opponent knowing i need some points and not like i want 5 goals every match during my arsenal days.!
now m looking for championship OF which would be again so much fun..
ThanksPES for this great game!:WORSHIP:

Club Name:- Rodos FC

Nickname:- Deers

Founded:- 1968

Notable Honours - Beta Ethniki Winners, seasons 1977-78, 1980-81.

Highest League Position:- Alpha Ethniki, 11th 1978-79.

Club Owner:- Mihalis Stavros

Club has a new 18000 all-seater stadium named Rodos Arena.

Season 2010-2011 will see the newly formed Meditteranean League (ML) start along with the Meditteranean Super League (MSL) which sees the top clubs from Greece, Cyprus and Turkey go up against each other.

Rodos along with their rivals Diagoras will be the lesser known clubs come up against some of the top teams from these nations, after recent takeovers by each club. Whilst Rodos have been taken over by local Greek millionaire Mihalis Stavros, their neighbours Diagoras have been taken over by mega rich Ali Sa Baba and have already spent big money on acquiring talent throughout the world due to them being handed a season long start over their rivals Rodos by starting in the MSL.

Rodos have tied up some Greek talent, most notably goalkeeper Antonios Nikolaos, hulking defender Vasilis Dracos, pacy wide-man Georgios Dokos and young promising Greek starlet Julio Zeus. They have also tied up Brazilian full-back Tito. A recent training match organised also allowed the greek outfit to put together other Greek players to ensure a minimum squad of 16, although they are hopeful of bringing in some further talent.

p.s. Just to update a few more kits and upgrade Diagoras players to be really good and that's me 100% happy. Yes, I am a big kid. :D
