Aw, Antred was convinced by the poor sky commentators, who didn't notice Rooney wasn't carded, it was just the ref pointing at the medics saying they weren't needed.

Shouldn't have been on the pitch? For what, his one challenge in the entire match? (which like Smith earned him a yellow card, just how sh*t is Rob Styles?)

It's okay, I know it's hard to see what's going on at the top from way down in fourth...

And it was absolutely a penalty. No denying that.

Very!!!, cant comment on the match as i only saw the highlights but smith's card was ridiculous. And Rooney's was more to do with it being the 2nd "tackle" within a few seconds. And yes it was a penalty, but we are talking about a small team at OT, arent we?! More dissapointed that arsenal won :(

Sorry i was talking about Rooneys foul mouth rant and insult to the ref for the fourth week in a row. Running up to him and repeatedly telling him to 'fuck off' and 'your a fucking prick' which sky showed in all its wonderful glory by the letter of the law constitutes dissent.

yeah players swear, but Rooney has a tirade of abuse and never gets booked for it. Sorry trying not to sound anti man u again on here im just amazed sometimes. He also got booked for two tackles in as many seconds when he looked like a crazed ape going after the ball, so really shouldnt have been on the pitch really...

But anyway all over now. If chelsea lose or draw tonight i reckon its over. And ill be glad personally :applause:
 
Guys who here reckons we are gonna win this title? Chelsea are looking unstoppable again and we have so many injuries. When is Nev due back? Rio is out for how long? How gutting would it be if we threw it away right at the end after playing the best football in Europe for much of the season!
 
Rio & O'Shea will return on Saturday, and Neville is hoping to back for the Milan game.

Saha's had another set back :-k
Think we should consider replacing him as he's unreliable with injuries...

Adriano seems very happy at Inter from the interviews and such, so I don't see a move to Old Trafford really in his future :lol: he's got a pretty comfortable seat over there, what with wearing number 10 and all

It would be shit to lose it now, but if we do lose it Chelsea will deserve it just as much for keeping up with us all season.

Look at it this way. Everyone wrote us off after last season, especially Liverpool fans who thought they'd replace us, and it's been a fantastic season whether we win stuff or not. The future looks fantastic.
 
I agree with you Marukomu, the future does look very bright! A couple of new signings and we are ready to take on the world!
 
I'm almost resigned to not winning the prem. If Chelsea pip us it will mean they've won something like 14/15 which is just simply ridiculous. You can't compete with that. All credit to them. I'm just happy to have seen us play some of the bset football in years, with great young and experienced players really connecting as a team. No silverware would be a bit harsh, but it's still been a good season !

Watched most of the match and i would be worried if i was a manu fan with the chelsea games coming up. Manu were really poor in defending crosses and corners with watford always looking dangerous. There were quite a few flaps from de sar, and quite a few balls managing to land in the area. And this was against watford, we all know how dangerous chelsea are from set pieces and corners. They could easily score a couple just from them without having to do anything else, and we all know they love to play like that. And with rio getting a groin injury you could be further depleted if it turns out to be bad.

Antred... how about that foul on Crouch last night for Liv's pen? was there a foul? NOPE I didnt think so! So stop your fuckin whinging about stuff! Also did anyone see Lampard Collapse in a heap for the free-kick which lead to it being 3-1? What a fucking cheating bastard! As soon as it was given he lept up and was ready to take the kick having looked out for the count 2 seconds before!!!

I fuckin hate cheats like that! Thats one of the reasons Chelsea might nick the premiership off of us... the other one is because of the money!

er...i dunno, you couldnt see it properly on the tv replays later on, so it was inconclusive. What i will say was there was hardly any protest from the defender, which might just say it all.

Seen them given and seen them not given. The amount of times Crouch gets his shirt pulled in the box compared to how many penalties he wins is minimal.

LMAO, this coming from the guy who supports ronaldo and rooney! How many penalties has ronaldo "won" this season by using his speed and then waiting for a tackle? Surely its been atleast 9 points won this season which also made the difference in games (being 0-0 at the time). Although i think chelsea are worse as a team when it comes to diving and cheating. Cant ever remember seeing scholes or giggs going to ground like a big girl, whereas the whole chelsea squad seem to have had diving lessons.

And the crouch penalty, like antred said it was hard to see and the defender didnt complain about it. And most of the time they arent given. Nor that it looked like it would have mattered to the result of the game either, as boro were rubbish and not creating anything. Even carra tried to give them a chance and they couldnt even hit the target!

sorry when does alonso dive? i've been a regular at the games since he signed and i cant say even with rose tinted specs on that he dives.

At one stage or another, a player will dive in a match (every two minutes at Benfica/Roma) regardless of whether it's Gerrard, Ronaldo or Lampard - the pressures on winning matches is so vast these days that sometimes it just happens. It is a boring subject that has been addressed a million times before so lets close the case.

Oh yeah, Man United: #1! :)

Maybe if you understood the context of my response you would realise how stupid your comment is. I wasnt complaining about people diving and how i hate them. I was just highlighting the fact that djdoc was shouting off yet he only has to look at his own team. As you rightly pointed out, gerrard dives from time to time aswell, as nearly all players do, sadly. Ill just ignore the xabi comment :lol: Im not defending anybody, just highlighting a comment and the hypocrasy(sp?) of it. Wouldnt expect to say this, but el diego made a good post that everybody does it and its pretyt pointless moaning about it. Or do you plan to defend chelsea now? I didnt say anything strange with my refence to the whole chelsea team diving, can you name one player that doesnt? I cant, but then ill be hard pressed to do the same for liverpool. Although you will have to admit there is the "standard" diving practice which all teams do, and there are the "superstar" divers of which chelsea have got quite a few.
 
I kinda like diving to be honest. Gives us stuff to moan about. Imagine if everyone did everything by the book. It would be shit.

All honesty that is a tough decision, he was clearly caught on the way down but was making the movement before the contact was made.
 
Looks like Sir Alex had just about enough of Louis Saha.Apparently Saha did train with the first team squad for the game against Sheffield Utd but he opted not to play as he is worried about his hamstring.

It must be the frenchman's attitude and not the injury thats been pissing Sir Alex off because Ryan Giggs had his hamstring problem years ago but the Gaffer stood by him.

Looks like it would be little changes come summer.Sir Alex targetted 2 signings.One has got to be Owen Hargreaves and the other could be a striker/forward.
