Can we make it the best week of the year so far with a convincing win against Watford at Villa Park today?

It's a bit late, but well done Manchester Utd for the fantastic performance against Roma. You made a very good side look distinctly average. Thoroughly entertaining viewing. :)

We're going to Whem-Ber-Lehhh!!! Expected victory really.Really pleased for Rooney to get his goals back.He is still playing keep-up to Ronaldo however.Pretty quiet game by the Portugese last nite.Even Kieran Richie got a cameo goal.Its all good.Bring on whoever,I dont care cause we are going to Whem-Ber-Lehhh!!

It weird as Ronaldo has 21 goals & Rooney 19.

Great season by them both.

Blue blooded ones arent as bad as the red blooded ones ;)
 
Watched most of the match and i would be worried if i was a manu fan with the chelsea games coming up. Manu were really poor in defending crosses and corners with watford always looking dangerous. There were quite a few flaps from de sar, and quite a few balls managing to land in the area. And this was against watford, we all know how dangerous chelsea are from set pieces and corners. They could easily score a couple just from them without having to do anything else, and we all know they love to play like that. And with rio getting a groin injury you could be further depleted if it turns out to be bad.

Well you aint a fan & i for one am not worried.

Neville will be back & Rio should be before the Chelsea game.

We can always call Evans back from Sunderland

I'm not worried - we had a dodgy game and WON 4-1! We have that attitude this season of "you score 2 goals and we'll score 3" like the great teams of the past.

You are just clutching at straws, United are in the final! :D

I sort of agree, though Watford are actually better than Chelsea on those long through, scarppy penatly area long balls. It's all they do. They have big strong players who jostle and for reason never get fouls called against them (VDS second collision after a watford player blatantly, in front of ref shoved rio into him with both hands). It's hard not to give up at least a lucky deflection here or there against that kind of play. Plus there seemed a policy of Howard Webb to give a foul at any challenge on either wing of united's defence, so added pressure.

Chelsea will pose a very serious challenge, but then, we won't deserve to be champions of anything if we don't overcome it will we?

Well what Id say as Man Utd's healthiest department, the defence isnt half being stretched Neville, Vidic, Silvestre, O'Shea all out and with Ferdinand going off after 40 mins it doesnt look good but the attacking football sure does pay off for it. That leaves no natural right back, a not so familiar partnership in Brown and Heinze with Evra on the left I really hope things go all well, the next few games are going to be pretty tough.
 
I wouldn't bother, granted he's still a great out and out goalscorer, but he doesn't chase anything down anymore because he's shit scared of getting injured again. He almost never sprints

yup. hes not the player he was. even in his last season at liverpool he wasnt the player he was. unfortunately i think hes finished through injury.
 
No don't buy Owen! He was good as a kid but he always relied on his pace which was his strongest asset, without that he would be just a GOOD striker rather than great.
 
He wouldn't be the first striker we've bought who's come back from serious injury...

Whoever we get, please don't let them be as injury prone as Saha...
 
Whichever forward we will buy,he definitely will be a big-game player.Sir Alex treasures the number 10 kit and would not give it to just about anyone.I am not too sure about Mickey Owen though but for 12 Million,he is a bargain.Kinda.
 
I'd like someone like Larsson again. If we get a big name forward we might go back to the bottleneck we had when Ruud was here.
