Manchester United Thread

two words for that win: fuking great, i near wrecked the living room when o'shea scored. liverpool where better than us, but we took are chance, i was surprised with the appointment of the ref( forget his name?) inexperianced if you ask me.

What a game. We surely nicked that one but thats the thing which makes it much sweeter. Haha. :lmao:

well....what can you say......Champions?

completely outplayed, down to ten men, Rooney injured, Ronaldo doing sweet FA, Crouch takes the ball down and BANG...oh wait...What a Save!

then we do exactly what we used to do in the 90s, and win games in injury time, and from unlikely sources as well

No Rooney, no Scholes, no more Larsson, no Solskjaer...
It's not over yet. Unless Chelski slip up against Portsmouth, then it could be that one two punch we need.

Let's hope Alan Smith is back on form, we're going ot need him!

21+ goal difference lads! That is some luck!

COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When shite like Crouch don't take their chances, you deserve to lose.

United #1.

chelsea were getting lucky wins last year and now we've learned how to do it,we were the worse team today, and when rooney and scholes left the pitch i was worried, i could'nt believe it when o'shea scored. but by the reaction of the players and staff and fans at the end we all know how important today was if we are going to win the league. and mourinho complaining about that we get all the decisions this season. most decisions went against us today, and saha should of got a pen.

bollocks.

the ref had a good game, or maybe neville should have had a red for cynical foul on pennant? didnt think so.

No decisions went against you today because you didnt do anything to earn them, you hardly attacked. Although our goal WAS offside, how the linesman saw it was a mystery through all them players and on another day it might have stood.

gary neville was on the halfway line when he fouled pennant, that happens near everyweek and you have always only got a yellow card for that. you're GOAL was offside even in the annalysis it showed it was offside. and in one of our few attacks at least we scored, don't be bitter antred, we won get over it complaining won't win you the match now;)

You're ignoring a perfect penalty decision that should have gone our way and then moaning about a decision that was right but shouldnt have been given because the linesman couldnt have seen it?

So what if you got your way and that goal was wrongly given? Wouldnt that be considered as "lucky"?

No im simply balancing the arguement. your saying the ref was on our side over a penalty claim, yet its ok for neville to clearly take out a player whose on a breakaway "because it happens every week'.

Im not denying it was offside, it was but what im saying is that the LINESMAN gave the call through all those players, it was near impossible for him to see sissoko touch it and on another day it may have stood, rightly or wrongly.

FFS read what i write properly.

Yes it would be lucky, but it didnt go our way did it, the way it has for you guys over the last few matches.

Hang on so you're actual arguement is you blame the linesman for getting it RIGHT?!

And that was a clean cut penalty. But what can you do.
If Howard Webb was on the pitch I'd imagine Gary would have walked for that foul. But are you telling me steve g wouldn't have done the exact same thing to Ronaldo?

You talk about Untid not attacking, how about you guys? You had theball for like 60% of the match and barely created anything. Its the weird Arsenal phenomenom, we should win because we pass prettily in front of the defense. Amounts to nothing other than some pot shots from distance. I guess given that Riise is one of the best in the game at it, it's not a terrible game plan.

So you'd prefer it to be wrongly given to you?
The thing is, either way it would have been considered lucky from our or your point of view. So you cant complain about it cuz a decision has to be made. And at the end of the day, it was still the right decision.

You're talking shite again, take off your tinted glasses and get back to the dippers thread.

Well most of the people here and the footiewebsites and below even your own manager has said the same as antred with regard to being lucky the past couple of weeks with the results. I guess that means your actually the one talking shite ;)

"They will feel very unlucky and they deserve to. It is a massive result for us. We broke away late on against Fulham and scored and now we`ve done it here.

"We`ve had that bit of luck in the last two weeks but you need luck if you are to win titles.

Does anyone else think O'Shea should be considered for player of the year ?

Not only does he does a great job has a keeper but hes like a predator infront of goal too, hes a great utility player. Joy to watch

he must of gone to specsavers.

We'll definitely need to extend Larsson's loan deal because Solskjaer's out for a month and Rooney's injury looked bad. That leaves us with only two out and out strikers, Saha and Smith. Maybe we should recall Rossi?

unless you put a camera on the linesmans head and you saw what he saw, youve no right to comment on whether he knew Sissoko had a touch or not

I'm not talking about the luck factor just the bitter bollocks that antred spouts in this thread, seems more interested in us than his own team.

Being lucky or not,its a massive win nonetheless.I wouldnt dare call us champions yet although its within our grasps now.A negative result for Chelski would definitely aid our cause though.Lets march on in March and set up OT for our trophy presentation day come May 13th.C'mon United!!!

All we have to do is lose against Bolton or Blackburn(which we've done in recent sesons) and it's back on again.
Please everyone. Stop saying we're champions or nearly there. There are still 27 points to play for. If Chelsea win their game in hand and then beat us, they are 3 points behind.
We're going to be missing Scholes for 3 games, Rooney maybe, Solskjaer, and Larsson has finished his prem games.

Until it's in the bag, I'm not celebrating.

To early to call you champions, you still have to goto Stamford Bridge, play Man City and a last day game versus a team that cost you the title a few years ago.... West Ham :p

I do think you should win though, Chelsea still have to play yourselves and Arsenal. If you keep winning games and so do Chelsea the title race will still be on going into the Chelsea game, that should be a really big game.

man i thought bellamy was ONSIDE on his goal...

my observations

1.)i thought bellamys goal should have stood
2.)saha should have been given a pen
3.)the ref was horrible for both teams
4.)I could not beleive liverpool did not score at least two goals
4.)where is heinze, silvestre was downrigth scary in there
5.)carragher should have had a straight red for his cleating of rooney
6.)scholes needs anger management thearpy
7.)alonso was being a bitch all game
8.)pennant is a diver

So did I but then they showed a replay showing that Sissoko flicked the ball on. Had Sissoko not flicked the ball on, Bellamy would have been onside as he was onside when Riise originally scuffed his shot.
