Losing Saha and Giggs hurts, especially given that the injuries (knee and hamstring respectively) are ones that have plagued the players for mcuh of last season. Hopefully it's just overuse, but I'm a bit worried it could be getting to that point in the season where they need a rest, which doesn't bode well. Ole will be fine tomorrow, but Saha provides a very different threat against teams in the prem..

For some, the left testicle is larger than the right one. For Nemanja Vidic, each testicle is larger than the other one.

Nemanja Vidic grinds his coffee with his teeth and boils the water with his own rage.

I think saha's injury may be blessing in disguise since now maybe smith can get some matches and get his sharpness back. I don't mind seeing Ole start either. Obviously the giggs injury is a blow, hopefully he recovers quickly.

Just because I read the game a bit different than you guys, you will see about C. Ronaldo, he's like a giant litre of milk, sure it looks creamy and delicious and you cats in here might lick it up now; but sooner or later he's just going to get sour like all the rest, you mark my words.

hahaha....maybe C. Ron will be out...well, i'm sure he will be....but not any time soon....maybe in 10 yrs or later? LOL

hm...Giggs needs more rest....while Fletcher is doing great, rest them!!! Let others play more tomorrow as i think the Portsmouth came is more important!!!

I think its sad that we need Giggs in our team to win games. We have a serious problem here. Giggs aint gonna be around forever.

I reckon even if Giggs had have played tonight it would have been a struggle, its just the never ending story of those tricky tough european away games. United are still in a very good position to win the group theres no need at all to worry, just look forward to a Champions League backlash on Saturday...

I keep saying it, but I'm sure we are cursed in regards to injuries. Every other game or few weeks someone in our team gets injured. Tonight its Ole solskjear who pulls his hamstring. Who's turn is it next to be sidelined?!

To be honest it was our tactics. All we did was just hold the ball, pass it around without any purpose or just hoof it up the pitch on random occasions. We always seem to play like this in Europe, never getting at teams or trying to blitz em off the park as we did to Bolton.
We have got to play the same way as we play in the league rather than this slow, passing around without a purpose approach we seem to take in away matches in Europe.

That's right. We will always be out passed by good European opposition, but what they can't handle is the pace of the English game. It's sometimes dangerous, but I'd much rather lose by fighting than getting knocked out with a whimper.

We can still make do with Smudger upfront. He can be a foil to Rooney just like Saha, minus all the agility of the frenchman.Fletcher will have to play right side again and Ronaldo will be deployed on the left with Carrick and Scholes in the middle. That is,if we play 442.If Sir Alex sticks with the 4231 then,Fletcher will have to partner Carrick in the middle while Ronaldo,Rooney and Scholes playing the offensive roles leaving Smudger upfront alone. We are still stable but without depth for cover especially in attack.January coming up real soon...any news on a potential number 10 for us?

Makes you wonder if Fergie, or the board, knew something before signing Carrick. Apparently he was told from upstairs that he had to sign English players, hence no move for Mascherano, Diarra, etc.
Maybe Wenger should cancel his trips to Africa (and Thailand) and start looking around London

well, this curb has been talked about for some time, I thought it was decided ages ago that it was being put into place in 2008?

anyway, Fergie has a comparitively massive amount of English/British players for one of the top English clubs, compare us to Arsenal or Chelsea, we've probably got more than them two combined
