Manchester United Thread

Hopefully we can now take advantage of this and not slip up as we did numerous times last season otherwise it will all be in vain!

I chuckle everytime I read headline about Chelski moanings after they lost a match. We stay on top,3 points clear....no moans,no negative feedbacks,no bad UEFA reports,no accusations.Happy Days...I wish I could join Sir Alex and the lad for lunch today celebrating his 20 years at the helm.Hes buying you know...Happy 20th Year Boss!!

:applause: Congratulations on the 20 years of greatness Fergie, its been good to hear the comments made by players and managers. Sky Sports news are doing small tribute clips at 12:30, 4:30, 7:30 and 9:30 ive just watched it and it was pretty good.

He his what Manchester United is all about

Yeah those quotes from 365 are classic, Fergie has seriously mellowed lately! Wonder if he's just using Mourinho as a foil, so trying to appear saintly next to the master whinger - can't hurt United's reputation, and can't help Chelski!

I'd be worried if I was a United fan, even though the earth stands still it still experiences tsunamis and devastating earthquakes, it's just a question of when the cracks in the drywall will begin to show for United, some of the players like Giggs practically need a wheelchair to get them out on the field and now with Rooney getting on a little in years you can tell that the pace of the English game is slowly beginning to tire the legs of him a little. SAF's mental sharpness is not what it used to be and you will start to see the managerial errors trickle in, it surprises me that he's even able to distinguish his own players from the opposition these days, for instance during UtdvArsenal at OT SAF was barking orders and making handsignals to press the opposition but he was giving the orders to Kolo Toure and Theirry Henry who happened to be closest to the sideline at the time. We've already seen Chelsea and Arsenal bite the dust a little this season, the question is when it inevitably happens at United just how hard and from how high are they going to fall?

You do care about United do you Dermot? Everytime we celebrate something here, you come in and post these nonsense.Nobody is taking you seriously mate. You should worry more about Arsenal.Already 10 points adrift from the top after only 10 games. That is a real problem.Post your metaphors in the Arsenal thread mate.Your belly is just full with sour-beer.

yawn, i'd be more worried about ya own team....

Dermot your a fool...

United for me seem set to run Chelsea all the way to the death. You look a better all round team this year. Providing you can take 4 points at least off Chelsea that will set you up nicely for the remaining games. It would be nice to see Chelsea not getting their own way again this season cos we don't want them winning 3 in a row do we?

Tell you who I have been impressed with this season and thats Saha, don't what it is but he looks a different player. Sharper, quicker, he has scored a few too.

Funny thing about saha is that he and henry came thru the same football school in france (along with anelka in fact all three are good friends)

I cant remember who it was but someone affiliated with either the french youth team or the footballing school said that of the three he reckoned saha was the better player (when they we're young of course), obviously no one knew what a player Henry would become and based on the way Anelka started no one thought he would end up at bolton...

Saha is a very good player he does look better I think him being a first team regular and playing with the likes of rooney/ronaldo every week is a bonus aswell....

I think all three are in a class of their own in their peak.Nic Anelka was scoring goals for fun in that few seasons when he first started out for Arsenal.Louis Saha made the same impact with Fulham and it continued with Man United.Titi Henry was sort of a late bloomer,I think he must owe Wenger a lot for transforming him into a forward and making him watch Ian Wright videos. Its no secret that Henry prefers to partner Saha for France as he is the perfect foil for him.Anelka has turned for the worse it seems, what a rollercoaster career he is having so far.

southend utd! worst club in the championship!....dumps manutd out

Your like a kid, I dont know where you come from but you probably dont understand the "get stuck in", "scrappyness" of lower league English football

Yes tonight was a shame but United recently have never had the cutting edge in games like this, it may sound like an easy task to beat Southend away but it isnt, their players no matter how good they are will always play out of their skin in games like this, we've seen this in recent years against Exeter, Burton and Crewe to some extent and it was no differant tonight, well played Southend! :applause:
