Manchester United Thread

Your posts make me laugh guys! "We need this player, we should buy that player, Ferguson has lost the plot, United should play this formation", etc etc zzzzzzz.

Do you all live at Carrington Training Ground? Do you see how the players are performing? Have you all been texting Ruud asking him what his motives are? What is wrong with Rooney and Ronaldo getting heated about their respective nations?

You are worst than a copy of 'The Sun' and other tabloid rubbish.

No offence to you, but how many times have we heard that. :lmao:
I'm talking about Rooney. I think this is going to bring out the best in him just like how Beckham's sending off was arguably the turning point in his career and made him the star that he is (or should I say, was?) today.

It's called discussion. That's what forums are for... and guess what? We're discussing Man Utd in a Man Utd forum

So is your grammar and spelling. Are you from England? Or maybe you're an American:lol:

I agree with ninja and rune.We all know how Rooney's competitiveness is...these are all normal reactions when things get hot.Remember how Rooney cursed at Becks during one England game last time? It was reported everywhere in the papers. Its all getting out of hand thanks to the media.Ronaldo winking at Scolari...couldnt it be a sign of acknowledgement instead? I'm pretty sure things will be back to normal at Carrington once the players report for pre-season training.

How can it all go back to normal?! Ronaldo is hated by the whole of England and also Man U's top player. He has also stated that he wants to go to Madrid. The boy is a dick and should go!

I don't see why any team would want him to be in the team. He needs to grow up and show respect. Then maybe he will grow into the player his talent deserves.

But at the moment he should be banished!!

Ruud attitude may need to change, but I can't see what he did wrong

Did you not watch half of this season?!! did you not see the FA Cup Defeat against Liverpool? I did! and do you know what I saw? Ruud Van Nistelrooy strolling around the pitch like he didnt care anymore! like he couldnt be arsed anymore! Not making enough movement for the midfield to give him decent service thats what I saw. He needs to drastically change how he plays this coming season if he wants to stay at Old Trafford, otherwise we need to look for another proper striker.

Also I think Ronaldo needs some bodyguards before he comes back to Old Trafford... 1 I dont think Rooney deliberately stamped on Carvalho and plus Rooney had 3 players hacking away at his legs before that happened! 2 Why the fuck does Ronaldo have to go up to the ref with every incident? Ok Rooney shouldnt have shoved him and that did make things 10 times worse but I cannot stand watching Ronaldo bitching to the referee! Him and Drogba should both be kicked out of the premiership or shown a Real Red Card when they show the ref an imaginary one!

I feel like all of a sudden we've gone from being all set for a great season to on a bit of a razor's edge. On the one hand, perhaps the Ronaldo rift will lead to him leaving, and we'll go back to being a more cross-oriented, less flair attacking team, with Ruud staying (how could fergie deal with cutting 2 R's out of hte Ronnie, Rooney and Ruud triangle?) and banging in crosses and jumping on long balls.

Or...

That style football just doesn't work anymore, for various reasons, and we needed a fast, flowing counterattacking style that play along the ground and use individual skill and pace to create opportunites. If that's the case, we're f"£$ed casue Ronaldo was damn good at that.

I'm absolutely gutted by the whole thing, and praying for a public reconcilation between the two players, but I fear both of them are too young, arrogant and that maybe the locker room doesn't have space for both of their egos. Let's hope SAF somehow proves me wrong, I can't imagine his trip in France is all that relaxing anymore...

And btw, what's the condition on Owen Hargreaves' contract? I think he knows it would be very good for his reputation to play in England at some point, and he could slot right in at United. Would have thought its at least worth checking out!

I think hes still tied to Bayern Munich for a while yet mate. They appreciate him a lot.

Maybe Ruud to Bayern with Hargreaves plus money?

Ronaldo cant cross a ball to save his life!, He can score the odd goal but takes way too many wayward shots and IMHO is a weak link in our team anyway. I wouldnt be too upset if he left, I dont consider him a good team player.

No we need ronaldo, we if sell him we will regret it. But if he wants to leave then he can leave, what can you do. I heard him say in an interview after the england game that he will decide his future after the world cup, as if he was undecided about things. Which tells me if that guy wins the Real election and Real put in a bid, then I think he'll go. Of course I hope im wrong. I really cant stand this Ronaldo v Rooney talk, I think its a whole load of nonsense. Its only the fickle supporters who want to blame Ronaldo and hate him although all he did was go up to the ref along with other referees. If carvalho had protested against J.Cole fouling one of his team mates, would carvalho be hated and blamed at chelsea? its stupid plus refferees dont base their decisions on what players want, its their own judgement.

Also we need to start making moves for players be it Torres, mascherono. I was very impressed with Tevez actually, but I dont know if we would be looking at him, but if chelsea get him or some other team in the premiership he will sure be a good buy. Ribery would be a wise buy but I think his option is Lyon. I defintley think mascherono is the best replacement fro Keane and would probably cost no more than 14million but I not keeping any high hopes since I can see with Uniteds struggle to capture any one of yet that we will have to settle for some random no name potential fuck up.

All that stuff about Ronaldo wanting to leave was never verified, in fact he personally came out and refuted. My point is that until I hear him saying hte words, I'll never believe all the crap in the british press. Is it beyond the realm of possiblity that he's actually happy at United?

Now that Calderón has won the Real Madrid election, Ronaldo is clever to declare his will to return to Old Trafford, as this candidate had no intention to sign him. However, should this change due to decisions from the Justice, and Villar Mir be the new President, Ronaldo would be eager to come to Madrid.

Not that we need him at all... I'd rather have Joaquín instead any day of the week,

Theres also the contract extension that he signed which throws more questions about whether he really wants to leave or not. I think its all BS fromt he press. I just a quote today from Ronaldo saying he's gonna phone Rooney to clear things up and lets hope this doesnt affect his Man Utd future.

Hargreaves has said it'd be tough to leave bayern because of their champion status and the CL play, but he did seem positive about playing in England. I think he and Carrick could actually be effective, in a kind of macherano/cambiasso style paring. Then it would feel a bit like the good old days, united representing a good chunk of the england squad. The way it should be ;)

Everything is ok between Rooney and Ronaldo....

Sorry couldnt resist

ManU needs Ronaldo he contributes alot to the squad. After seeing Rooney push Ronaldo,he didn`t even look at his brother. That tells me Roonie is piss and Ronaldo is use to it.Now,let someone else push Ronaldo there will be a Fight!

Ronaldo seems to be Englands escapegoat with the whole Roonie vs. Ronaldo episode..I too is sad for England performances

If you want to get rid of Ronaldo fairplay!

Edit: I hate yous a little

Can we change the record it's getting boring now. The public show of 'unity' was shown on Sky Sports earlier this evening. Ronaldo texted Rooney and Wayne texted him back 'wishing him good luck in the semi-final against France.' Case closed.

We need to look at investing in a defensive midfielder - THAT is priority. Anyone else heard the Vieria story rearing it's head again? I can't ever see him in a United jersey for some reason!

Wouldnt you prefer someone younger? Vieira is one of the last players I'd want.

Having Vieira at United would be a kick in the teeth for Keano.I doubt it will actually happen but football these days are all about business. However,I still believe United thrives on values and passion.

Keano wouldn't give two sh*ts about Vieria going to United! He has better things to worry about now like polishing his golf skills in Barbados!

No, I wouldn't want Vieria - someone younger who would eventually gel into the squad would be ideal. We are not Real Madrid.

Mascherano is the only answer, remember that. Anyone else will always fall short except maybe Diarra who I havnt seen too much of but I hear he is world class.

For the record the argentinian ref has come out and said he didnt send off Rooney because of Ronaldo's protest, so all youw whinging anti Ronaldo english fans can shut the hell up once and for all.

I can't see the Mascherano move. He just moved from River to Corinthians last season. But in Football, anything can happen. Corinthians are not short on cash due to them being bankrolled by MSI. I guess a move would have to be instigated by Mascherano himself.
