woah calm down dear :)....I think he was comparing the financial resources between the two. In terms of like the money they spent on their young talent compared to what Man U paid for theirs.

I'll prolly say Arsenal got the best value

Thats only cuz teams want more off cuz knowing we'd be able to pay a larger amount. Just like what teams do with Chelsea now.

i disagree, i would rather have rooney, then clichy, van perise, lupoli, and frabregas pupt together, maybe they dont all add up to $30 million, but rooney is obvisouly going to be one of the best in the world, i dont see that in any of arenals young players... you get what you pay for...

Sorry, I meant as in over the years, compared the two for what they paid, Arsenal got the better players (Henry, Vieira etc..)

But then again, they didn't win as much as United :eh:

I'm a crap debator :roll:

well if you want to go over the years then i think man u wins hands down. becks, giggs, neville's, scholes, werent all of those lads free? how much did we sell becks for? how many trophies have giggs, scholes, and neville won?

It doesnt look like it, Away form is shocking

Whats this Vidic like, ive never seen him play

Heard about Serbia only conceding 1 in World Cup qualifying though with there fabulous 4 defence

I just hope we finalise evra deal and our defense will be sorted. Then we will have
neville/brown who can play RB
Vidic/rio/silvestre CB
Heinze/evra/oshea LB

I know the likes of shea,brown and silvestre can also play other positions in defensive but you get the idea.
After that i think we need at least two more quality midfielders and our squad will be very good

IMO, one good midfielder would do. The second one would just need to be a decent cover, nothing special.

Well one good DM and another winger. I got ribery in mind since he is so versatile and somone to challange ronaldo on right or giggs on the left. There is alot of highly rated young DMs out there its just finding the right one.

Rather than a young midfielder we need an experienced one from whom the likes of Smith and Fletcher can play with and improve their game. Gota say though Fletcher and Brown were superb against Arsenal!

nah bro, i think evra is meant to play LB so our optimal defense would look like this,Heinze can play central, very well

vidic is going to be cover, i would imagine, until heizne is healthy, someone has to fight for a spot, keeps the others on there toes, i think that has been uniteds problem recently

I know evra can play on the left i didnt say otherwise. My post was just rough display of the positional options we have in defense. Imo though i think it will be

neville----vidic----rio----evra for now

When heinze comes bk then it gives fergie option to play him on the left back, i have never seen fergie use heinze in central and i think evra can play attacking left midfield too so there is always that option to.

Well i think we have put in a bid yesterday. Im not sure about inter because they want him in the summer. Evra has gone on strike until he is sold in the january window. Rumour is his preference is manchester utd. So we have good chance of signing him. i seen him play couple of times for france and monaco last season and he is strong and can get up and down the flanks very good. His defending seems to be good as well. reminds me bit of cafu but on leftback and like him is no slow coach.

I dont know much about vidic, never heard of him before we signed him.

I can see SAF getting ribery now in the january window and then waiting for summer to sign DM. Reason so fletcher and smith can be given the rest of the season to show what they are made of.

i watched mars vs lens the other night, wasnt too impressed with ribery, but one game cant tell it all, im excited abouth these transfers, so who is gone, silvestre and bardsley back to the reserves?
