So thats the only excuse left? No defensive midfielder. So if we get someone like Gravesen, would that be enough blame Fergie if we still failed to show anything?

Its not excuse it was just response to your comment about that we have a good enough squad when we dont. I can blame fergie he has made some silly mistakes i not bias or fan favourite of SAF. But getting someone to replce him foreign because you see liverpool win CL last season and chelsea wining non-stop with the squad they got due to fact they have no budget then i think its a bit brash.

I dont think someone like graveson is worthy. I hope we dont decide to buy him since he is like 29 and wouldnt be worthwile.

Oh yeah did you read in between your qoutes again there was more responses to your call for a new foriegn manager lol.

When did I say I didnt want a foreign manager?

And who do you want as our DM before you blame Fergie?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Where's Scholes? :(

Could well have sneaked one, but Neville's challenge was seriously risky and could have cost us the match. Arsenal didn't look that dangerous, but we didn't either. Oh well a point at highbury isn't too bad at all really.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

The finishing was unbelievable.Sometimes it looked as if we wernt bothered with our finishing, just ridiculous snap shots. If certain players eg ronaldo+rvn had of kept their composure in front of goal we would have 3points. I cant stand watching ronaldo play some times the boy is so selfish at time. His crosing was shit all match until the end of the game.

Scholes was away still suffering from blurred vision.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Well that was spectacularly shit. Title Race is completely dead and buried. Liverpool are gonna get the automatic place and the Glazer's should now realise that was a bad idea to take over the club

Yeah. With Fletcher and O'Shea in midfield, I think a point was a good result. Realistically a win wasnt gonna do much for the title race it was Arsenal who needed the win, not us.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

I just expect ronaldo to screw up his finishing. Ruud played quite well i thought, given that he was handling both CB's himself all game, he only really had that one side netting miss. And his turn and shot that set up ronaldo was gorgeous...

I don't think there's anything wrong with Ruud's clinical ness (actual word?) but certainly giggs, ronaldo and rooney need some work.

Yeah. Ruud is doing some lethal shots around the edge of the box this season. Not like the old Ruud.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Im sorry but that was piss poor display from ronaldo. Park should start ahead of him until he learns to pass the ball and put in some decent crosses more consistently. He should take note from rooney who who is always looking around to play someone in. Park is much more sufficient and less frustrating to watch. I dont even get why he didnt start last two matches since he has been in top form when he has played.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Well Ronaldo did score 2 goals in his last game...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Yeah one good game in how many games he has had bad this season. I can only recall two good performances from ronaldo this season. Yeah i know he has had trouble off the pitch but how long is he gonna let it effect his game.

But if his last game was good, why would you leave him out? Theres nothing wrong with playing Ronaldo. I know it was a bad idea but an idea I understand.
I'm just a bit annoyed that he didnt take the advantage of not having to come up against Ashley Cole cuz we know if he was playing, it would have been worse.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

I actually thought Fletcher played a pretty good game last night. He wasn't too uncomfortable like he usually is. We had more chances but Arsenal had better chances, in my opinion. :o

I guess so but maybe park should of came on earlier. I suprised too i thought he would have made joke out of cygan or lauren on the wing.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

A draw was a fair result IMO as neither team did enough to win. I have to say I thought that the United team was worst United team I have seen for a number of years. They just seemed content on bombing long balls up to Ruud hoping he would flick it on for your wide players to run onto. When the wings were used the crossing was shite and as for the finishing, woeful!! (Luckily);)

Before you all bitch at me I have said similar comments about Arsenal in our thread. Both sides need major, major surgery to even get close to Chelsea. I think Wenger still has it in him to build another great side at Arsenal. Don't think I can say the same for Fergie!

Hmm i dont know what match you were watching but we had the best of chances. Arsenals football isnt exactly great nowadays. All they do is try and pass it into the net which only works against the smaller teams. Cant remember the last time arsenal turned up for a big match. Sure it wasnt our usual slick passing attacking display last night but when the opposition play 5 in the middle of the park like your everton then its not gonna be pretty game.

Funny thing is you last point at us needing major sugery. Its funny consider wengers side is sitting in 5th 11points behind us if you havnt noticed. Plus if Henry goes i doubt they even be a team there atall. I cant see arsenal wining anything this season and that just shows how your team relied so heavily on one player.

I was watching the match from my usual seat in the ground mate. You had the better chances, don't deny that but still didn't do enough to win. Thats the opinion of both managers too. I feel we should have had a penalty too. It was more blatant than Rooney's at OT last season!

You totally miss the point mate. I accept we need surgery on our team. That's a fact that you seem to miss. My point was that United's team is poor compared to previous season's. Who's fault is that? Fergie's thats who. You maybe 11 ahead of us but you are 13 behind Chelsea!! They are the team to beat now.

I feel Wenger still has the desire to build another great side, the seeds have started. Fergie should have retired years ago.

Thanks for the beating by the way!!

G.Neville actually got a piece of the ball first so i dont know how you can call it blatant penalty. Of course draw was fair result but to say it was bad performance on our part i think its riduclous to say consider the tactics arsenal came out with.

I also i do accpet United need some new players but nothing drastic like your making out. Man for man our team is better than arsenals. Any other season with out chelsea we would be in top place and we have better record in league than in last few seasons so i dont know where you get idea that we are wosrt off in than in other seasons. Liverpool are also alot of points off chelsea but it dont mean they havnt improved or are worst from other seasons.

I guess fergie hasnt the desire neither to build another great team huh! As i said player for player we have better team and the league table shows. Players like cygan, flamini, hleb, silva, lauren, song and almunia arent my idea of good seeds. A team that cant cope in premiership without one player is what you call a joke. Wenger should of stopped watching little boys years ago.

Thanks for the last comment btw. Really and truly arsenal should of held a beating had ronaldo and ruud finished off their chances. All i hear in arsenals defense is a call for a penalty that really wasnt ever gonna be given.

Go and re-read my posts again where did I say:

1. It was a blatent penalty. (I said it was more blatent than the one you got against us last season).
2. You put in a bad performance. (I said your team was the worst Utd team I had seen for a few years).

You really still don't get it do you? I have a dig at United and all you can do is slag off Arsenal. I know we have problems but the biggest problem for both of us at the moment is Chelsea. They are way better than both of us. United need to improve to challenge, surely that is obvious!!

I still think that compared to your teams of 1993-4, 1996-7, 1999-2001, the current team is nowhere near that level and needs major overhaul. Players like Fletcher, Park, O'Shea, Smith, Saha aren't good enough. Only people who are not blinded by the United light as much as you are can surely see that.

BTW grow up and stop having cheap shots at Wenger. Its old hat, its boring and just proves how immature you are.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

It looked to me asthough the handshake between Fergie and Wenger at the end was the freindliest ever between the 2, at one stage im sure I saw each other pat each others arms too !

Yeah they did! Maybe as the game didn't share the same tension as in the past that was why.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Okay, so I'm looking at players we're linked to: Evra, Vidic, Ribery, Simao (I would have thought we'd of learned our lesson portugese wingers...just kidding!) - Am I the only one who thinks Fergie's still got his 'our centre of midfield is not a problem' tinted glasses on? The only thing I can think of is that he's either:
a) Going to introduce a revolutionary formation which has no one in the centre of the park, and all football is played amongst our 4 wingers
b) Going to try and get a big time signing come summer time

Hopefully it's b. Although I will give Fletcher some credit, he played very ver ywell yesterday, his defensive work was top grade and a little less terrifying than Smiths. Did anyone else notice when he was in the wall, he's almost the same height as O'Shea and both are taller than RvN? I had no idea he was that big.

your so wrong, ronaldo was our only player to cause danger to arsenal all game, how many free kicks did he create? A lot, he put in a brilliant cross to giggs, and giggsy wanked the shit out of it, he also put it a near post cross to ruud, but ruud got beaten... how about when he sprung neville, and n eville put that ball in, he had at least two or three shots deflected for corners, he miss was bad, very bad, but other then that, i think he played good, im not sure what game you watched, but it wasnt arsenal vs manu...

how many free kicks did ronaldo win off Cygan? So fouling ronaldo
is considered GOOD, wow how low arsenal have become when your defenders fouling the opposition is considered a good game....

Thats true. I was expecting him on for atleast the last 30 mins but he got even less than that. Kinda pointless really.

I personally dont feel Park is a good sub. He's not the type of player that can come on and do something for you. He needs to start and get into the game to have any impact. Guys like Ronaldo and Rooney on the other hand are more than able to come on late on and do something for the team.
