Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Strange game. We won 4-0, should have scored at least 2 more, but then also should have conceeded. Plus Alan Smith had far and away his worst game, his passing was nothing short of terrible, i couldn't keep track of the number of times he unecessarily gave up possession. Ronaldo is still getting worse, he was incredibly crap. Fletcher also had a crap performance. Half our team didn't show up, and we won 4-0. Weird...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Yeah! Still a select few letting us down with their performance.
Come on you Gooners for Sunday.

Smith??!?!? I thought he was ok, he tackled fine... i don't think that was his worst game...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

He didnt have the best of games but it wasnt his worst.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Definitely thought he was terrible. Part of his role is to ensure that unitd keep possession in the middle of the pitch, and to facilitate the breaks. He did neither, always gave the ball away, especially in the first half. Don't kno wwhy, normally he's pretty good at keeping it realyl simple (ie pass to scholes, or if he's not available, look back and pass to Rio).

Just my opinion, hopefully he'll have a cracker thi weekend :)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Maybe because two wigan players jobs were to make sure he wasnt comfortable.

Great point... I would like to think this would be a genius move for sir alex, but it doesnt seem to be working out, but lets give smith a full year, hopefully by the end of the year he will be as consistent as Heinze, MAN I MISS THAT GUY!!!!! Heinze was so solid in the back, poor fellow.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Once again another consistent superb away performance! Now why we cant play like this at home every game i dont know.

What are they doing!?
I know after recent criticism Fletcher needs a cuddle but this......

Im sure we won 4-0 at home to wigan, what more you want? btw fletcher done well in middle where it is his natural position, ronaldo is total fuck up.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Kinda hard to believe that if we had beat Everton, we would actually be only 4 points behind Chelsea right now.
Then the pressure would REALLY have got to Chelsea ahead of the big game tomorrow.

So we beat Wigan at home in our last game and everythings hunky-dory now is it?
Did you actually watch the games against Everton, Blackburn, Tottenham etc at home. Our performances at home have been well under par yet away we get the results and perform well.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Ruud and Rooney, what a strike force!
Ronaldo didn't do so well, but his last play to Ruud was amazing, how Ruud didn't score is beyond me.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

You guys read what Big Pete said about our current crop of players recently? He kinda agree with Keano that aside from Rooney, this club is lacking of players that have character to bring the club forward.I kinda agree with that statement, only that he should have included Ruud,Giggs,Neville and possibly Smith in the equation. These guys have what it takes to carry on the mantle left behind by our Legends.Without these players, especially Ruud and Rooney,we are an ordinary club.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Yup. Plus Ruud is at the top of the scorers list where he belongs.

Since Keane is gonne RVanN had to get a new bitch!

Did you misspell your username or something?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Well Chelsea didn't lose any points, so we still have a good deal of catching up to do. The consolation is that Arsenal lost. ;)

Atleast the good news is that when we come up against Arsenal, they wont treat it as a must win game if they already know they are out of the race.
Which leaves us with Chelsea. The bad news from todays game is that we're running out of fixtures where we can assume as being potential slip ups for Chelsea.
I know its 9 points but even if we beat them again, they still need to lose another 2. And I cant see that happening.

Yes i watch those games and those are the games we dropped points in. If we had won those games we would be in better position and ultimatley would have better home record but we dont! there is no use crying about it and being ungrateful with our recent results and asking for better when we are already going the right way about changing things at home.
