Could be press bullshite but we look to be in pole position to sign Nemanja Vidic.Apparently he had a change of heart and decide against going to Italy and head to OT intead.

United in pole to sign Vidic

Pratically got him so please put Silvestre at left back as this guy looks like the perfect partner for Rio!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Hope he turns out to be another good signing. Imagine the problems we'll have if we get him AND Heinze is back. I think we'll be waving Silvestre goodbye.

We're supposed to get a couple of players in Jan so what other positions will Sir Alex be looking at? :-k

DM as Smith cant do it!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

If Vidic goes to Man Utd then its a great signing. But its a bit tough on Wes Brown. Hes been solid in the games that Ive seen him in this season.

LOL! I love to wave goodbye to Silvestre (useless dumb-arse) too

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Silvestres still gona be very useful for use especially for that left-back position. Glad we got a defender in but if Fergie doesnt buy a DM in the transfer window id really start to question his wisdom.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

I just read that we've agreed a fee for Vidic and he's officially ours.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Got to say it is hard on brown because he has been playing very well these last past games, but we needed to sign another good central defender. That way there is no complacency and there is some serious competition.

I think if we get a good defensive midfielder this janaury we will be serious bet for the title. Just got to hope we dont flop at next signing.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

actually it's a perfect setup, we don't really have much cover for the back four other than Brown and Oshea. With Heinze out (we're really missing the guy!) we needed another defender. I hear he's the hard tackling type, which sounds great to me, since Gabby and maybe G. Neville are the only type of defenders we have with that quality.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Yeah fergie says hes 'quick and 'agressive'. He looks kinda mean to so hopefully he can intimidate some players lol.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Guys like Vidic will be important when they come up against big players like Drogba or Marcus Bent who has been bitch to defend against in recent years.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

WOW. What a beating. Great game.

And Rio got another one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Great game! 2 goals in 2 games for Rio?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

I luckily got to watch it on the net and the amount of chances that we created was unbelievable. I know we have a few problems in defence but our attack was amazing to watch.

Everyone was having a go when attacking. Even Rio. Not only did Rio score a goal but he also created one too. And Smith's cross for Ruud's goal was inch perfect. I think Smith is very well suited for Fletcher's role. I'd have him play as the CM that Fletch is and not a DM. And also occasionally play him at the right of midfield when one of our wingers arent playing (Like Ronaldo who was suspended today).

Really looking forward to the next 3 games.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Yeah, on the attack we're looking great. But then why wouldn't we, we have the prolific Ruud van Nistelrooy and the very talented Wayne Rooney both fit and on form. Not to mention Luis Saha being fit, and Ole coming back from injury!
And as is proper, Ruud is on top of the premiership's scorer list.
<--- As long as these two are fit, I think we can expect goals. :D

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Good win against a team we helped stay up last year. nice to see Ruud cementing his place as top scorer. Only problem with us at the moment is the fact that Chelsea won again......we're not gonna be able to catch them, 9 points is too much

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Well you never know. there are a lot of games coming up in a short timeplus we also have to play Chelsea once more so 9 points is possible. And theres also the fact that they will have far more (important) games to consider the further they progress into the CL.

9 points is nothing in December. I seem to remember there being around 15 points difference between Liverpool and Arsenal at the start of the 90's/late 80's. People said that was impossible too. At the risk of sounding like an advert, nothing is impossible.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

^^ Exactly. I hate when people call the title chelseas tit when they only 9points ahead, thats only 3games. Still there is second half of the season to go anbd people think 9points is enough from now til may to win title. Yeah chelsea in very good position and if they do the same as last season and go unbeaten from now until the end then yeah they will win it. But there is pressure this time and united have hit form earlier now as last season we only started to go on run in about feburuary time.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

I didnt see the match, all i know is i had a bad feeling that we were gonna draw tonight against birmingham. Well i wouldnt give up just yet, i know its 11points now but there is still hope.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

theres still hope. we still have to play them, liverpool still have to play them, they will have mo...who am I kiddin'? Its all over.
I know theres still a lot of time but realistically that time is there for us to fall back even further. Theres no way we're gonna catch them up.

Looks like its the League Cup and FA Cup for us again.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Ah just saw the match and very pissed. That referee i dont know what his name is but he is a complete dick. He must be one of the worst in the premiership, everytime i see him in games he makes mistakes, it was blatant foul on ronaldo.

Man you have to wonder why park wasnt playing after he provided such a good display in his last few matches. Fletcher on the right doesnt work its him in the centre or not play atall. Oshea.... well we need to get rid of this lanky clown he cant defend for his girlfriend. And for crying out loud richardson is not a leftback what happened to silvestre?
