Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread- '“I THINK I’ve found you a genius.”
Some "cuttings" from manutd.com what the papers say.
ROSSI
Rossi Is Scholes No.2
Sir Alex Ferguson believes teenage striker Giuseppe Rossi can be the new Paul Scholes. Ferguson has big hopes for the US-born Italian, who reminds him of Scholes in physique, finishing ability and calmness in the penalty area. "Giuseppe Rossi is the most natural goalscorer we've had come through this club since Paul Scholes, no question about that," said Ferguson. "He's a wonderful finisher. He's not dissimilar to Paul in a way because when Paul first came to the club, he was a centre-forward too. Then he started to learn the game and dropped into deep positions behind the strikers and scored a heap of goals for the youth teams. Giuseppe can play right through, like Paul, and can also drop in. But the big similarity between them is Giuseppe's cool head in the box."

Ferguson Plots Raid For Davis
Sir Alex Ferguson is lining up a £3million swoop for Aston Villa midfielder Steve Davis in January. The Northern Ireland international has come to the attention of Manchester United's veteran boss after earning rave reviews for club and country. Davis, 20, has been one of the few success stories for David O'Leary's side this season and is Villa's top scorer with five goals.

Fergie Hunt For Kid Greg
Manchester United are ready to make a £750,000 New Year raid for Colchester wonderkid Greg Halford. Old Trafford scouts watched the versatile Halford score twice in Saturday’s 5-0 demolition of Gillingham. And that was the THIRD time Fergie’s talent spotters have checked on Halford this season.
