Ha the big ego argument is there again ( a bit of a Loch Ness monster, this one).
Big ego's in Manchester City's squad?
And there aren't none at Liverpool, United, Chelsea or any other EPL club?
I agree that not every manager is good enough to work for those mega clubs. But people are implying that Pep (and i admire his football) is the best manager around...there are more sensible arguments to say that Pep Guardiola is the best trainer of the wordl than the majority of all the others...but are they conclusive? How do you measure that?
It's all very subjective (and of course also everything i write in this post), but i have more respect for managers who build something up from the base.
What Pocchetino did with Spurs, is IMO a bigger achievement than what Pep did with Bayern.
At City Pep finds a club with the financial backing to win the EPL and the CL time after time.
I have absolutely nothing against City, they have two of my favourite players, they play beautifull football at times, but they are a danger for the EPL.
The EPL don't need to become like Ligue 1 were PSG has a gap of more than 20 points with the second club in the ranking. In France stadiums are more filled for cup matches than for the Ligue 1 matches.
This current EPL season is great because Leicester and Spurs seems genuine title contenders. Every neutral should support Leicester (what a pity that i'm a Spurs fan), but even if Arsenal or City win the league, it will be after a thrilling season.
One season of unbeatables is an achievement. 5 consecutive is the death of football...
