Manchester United Thread

Yeah we were very good today.

I just can't understand Mata not being played more, oozes quality.

Mata and Ander Herrera were very good.
Congratulations to Mam Utd. I also liked their first 45 minutes at White Hart Lane. RVP and Falcao missed the chances there and Spurs played a good second half.

Man Utd were good, but how bad were Spurs in the first half. We didn't even manager to give a good 2 meter pass, really terrible.

Oh and i forgot to mention: someone from my village made his EPL debut against Spurs.
Congratulations Marcos Perreira.

Will probably not stop him to join his friend Paul Pogba.

Is Marcos his real name? He's always been Andreas at United. Talented, but not sure he's anywhere near Pogba's level. Seen lots of him in the reserves where he's normally the best player. Will be interesting to see if he gets a chance in our first team.

Marcos Pereira was born in Belgium from Brazilian parents. The commentator said something about his choice but I didn't catch that... is he playing for Brazil or Belgium U-21?

And that's really cool Gerd, he's practically your neighbour!

PSG was his choice. I`m wondering (if) they recoup that £59m and Mutd buy themselves a proper winger for less.

Perreira has player for both Belgium and Brazil, but it seems he made his choice: Brazil.
To be honest i don't know him at all. It seems he was just born in Duffel.

About Di Maria: there is this story that he and is family were victims of some sort of homejacking and that they are now terrified and really want to leave Manchester. That is some very bad luck.

If you actually see where LVG talk about Di Maria the newspapers (read:tabloids) are just blowing his words way out of proportion (what's new). And yes Gerd, the attempted break in was reported quite a few weeks ago (think I remember it happening a bit before our game at the Emirates.. Can't remember for sure) I'm sure that's enough to unsettle any person..but the press just keep regurtating it as if it's the final straw.

The game against Pool will be a massive opportunity to impact this season for any player on our team. Let's hope Di Maria finally finds himself that day. And yes.. from the wing please.

its worse they were in the home too during the robbery. I remeber Viera got robbed they gas his home and knocked them out and robbed them, crazy!

The headline and distorting of LVG's words are typical of the scum/media. No surprises there.

I think it's a good point in a way, if a player is so unhappy he can't live somewhere, he won't produce on the pitch.

While I'm sure it was traumatic for Di Maria and his family, that 'football village' where all the Manchester based players live is hardly more dangerous than Paris, or Madrid or anywhere else he could choose to live. Very rarely scumbag criminals will target very wealthy individuals - I don't think Cheshire is the only place that would be a risk. It sucks, especially with young children, but I have to imagine that if the family loved England and were getting on great they'd of installed better security and be over it.

He's obviously unsettled generally, that one incident should not determine his future.

I'm nothing but disappointed in him. Abandoned his work rate, tenacity and bravery and replaced it with inconsistency, diving and terrible decisions. He's clearly better when not the 'main man' but left to support others.

He is a lot better when there is another main guy pulling the defense away giving him space to do what he needs to do. Right now, everyone is onto him and the physical side of the EPL compared to La Liga is quite a change for him. I think he just needs time and he will be able to play again to his best ability that he is known for.

Will he get that time though, that's unknown. I still think that Falcao needs that time to adapt to this league too...

Kelly Mc Kinney. That is a very Belgian name.
Do me a favour and read that article once again.

Now i understand all your weird conspiracy theories.
That explains it all.

Hate these matches. Virtually never good football, ill disciplined and big moments will be decided by the ref, not the players.

Expect nothing less tomorrow, at least one penalty and likely a red.

Aye. I'm a grown man with plenty of other things to possibly worry about but the thought of this game in particular is a bit nauseating. Perhaps because winning it will be hugely important to staying in the top 4 race.

That's what can happen when a superior passing team goes to Anfield with a packed midfield (good job, Manuel...). Very comfortable

50m for Sterling? Don't make me laugh! Lad can't pass the ball.

What a goal by Mata.
Jones could have had a red and completely ridiculous outrage of the Liverpool fans because Di Maria didn't got a card for his handball near the touchline.

Freakin Skrtel should get a multi game ban for that stamp on De Gea.

Masterfully composed killing of the game by our lads toward the end but we should 've killed it off with another goal well before that.

It was a joy to watch. Overall a very satisfying match and another classy performence, especially from Juan Mata.

Angel willingly try to make things work but too often give away soft balls but at this point of the game Angels pace and creativity were vital for our game.

And it needs to be said that Fellaini was very, very good! Mata, Herrera, Fellaini good times.

Playing great first against Spurs and now especially at a place we normally suck is definitively confidence boosting but we still have a tough schedule ahead. It's beautiful though to finally see the positive effects of the position play Van Gaal likes. Rooney and Di Maria were rather poor today however, but I guess we shouldn't expect any different from our captain when playing at Anfield.Hopefully we can keep it going!

Alot of positives today. Just a bit disappointed we couldnt take more of an advantage against a 10 man team again

Nsty frm Skrtl. Deserves a ban that, knew what he was doing.

However, wish Valencia had let Rojo square up to him. Now that would be a fight worth watching.
