Manchester United Thread

Have you guys seen Kagawa's sublime goal for Japan? That boy is quality, I wish Arsenal could snatch him before you do :P

I won't delve to much into players who are speculated to join :P

But as I've said, Kagawa is a brilliant player.

I've watched some Japanese sports news the other day and they mentioned Kagawa and Manchester United in the same line. So maybe that means something :P

Berbs in Istambul's airport

It is said that he flew there to sign contract with Galata.

Is he wearing a leather skin, desert style water sac? Magic.

I'll always love the Berb.

That Nick Powell youth we apparently signed scored a screamer to get his team promoted to League 1. Value?

Quite suprised he decided on...Chelsea?

I mean if he wanted the dollar than City was the better destination surely even from a United stand point.

Whatever, I still don't think his talent justifies this ridiculous media circus he's created. Announcing your next club on Twitter? F*ck off son. Not the way United do things.

I also would rather we spent the rumoured £32m (which I guess we must have agreed, given what Hazard has said) on a CENTRAL MIDFIELDER. We don't need another number 10, we need, have needed, and will continue to need a central player more than any other position on the pitch.

Hell, for £32m I bet we could have a certain lil Croatian playing at Spurs, and he could come have one season with Scholsey who adores him, learning the ropes so to speak.

While I agree we still lack that stardust at the moment, we need Nani to get to that next level or add another player of similar ilk.

Nike actually had a Hazard campaign as well. I can't remember if I saw it on here or Dirty Tackle, but he was handed a bunch of note cards with team names on them and looking through gave one word reactions. Was pretty ballsy for someone not having done anything. The whole situation is how most youths are today though, which makes me sound incredibly old but younger people are a me first generation of self promotion.

Totally agree. If he can get and stay fit, we need to make him more of a focus. His ability and finishing are top class, and he is getting towards the age that he should be at his best.

Kagawa to MUFC transfer is nearly completed. fee €15m rising to €22m. Sporting director Zorc: "some details tbc". (via Kicker)

Why couldnt Nani be our central attacking midfielder? He seems to have all the attributes associated with that position...two great feet, great dribbler, tremendous shot with either foot and not to bad with his passing at all.

His crosses are too good to be AMF. But we can play Nani, Valencia and Young, with Nani and Young changing possitions and Rooney up front IMO. Young had played very well in AMF, before he was transfered to United (he plays on this position in England and it works very well). Hope we'll get Kagawa, he's the type of 'Man United' player, I think.

Btw. I would love to see Giroud as our striker. Such a good target man - he proved it in his last national game assisting 2 of their 3 goals. He's so damn good playing back to the goal. With Roo on AMF or trequarista role, we'd have ensured bunch of goals. Can't wait for our first transfer!
Is Nathaniel Clyne to get for free? :O Damn, Fergie, offer him contract!

Imo Hazard and Kagawa have achieved very similar things in their respective careers.

Kagawa's transfer (if it happens) is for a value and has been done in a way that a young, talented, promising player should be.

Hazard's transfer has been what it should be like when Ronaldo, or Messi moves a team.

I don't think either is any better or worse as a player, but I know who I'd rather have coming into my dressing room. (that sounds slightly dirty)

No offense imo Hazard`s hype reminds me of the one in the US had Adu. In the media aspect that is...Hazard seems to be very good. Mutd does better w small fish that grows into a big one and Im not talking about age wise neither just players w no entourage types.

Huh? I think you guys are confusing hazard with someone else. The guy led Lille to the championship, has amazing touch and vision.

Presuming you mean last season re: championship?

Anywho, no - I know Hazard is one of the best young talents in the world. But he is just that - a young talent. Undeniably he's exciting and more than a bit special, and other than the recent Belgium match, I've always been impressed by him.

However, for £32m and c. £150k a week, plus all this media hooplah and twitter crap, he better be an absolute phenom - truly head and shoulders above everyone else around him. Which, at present, I'm not convinced of.

Maybe he'll turn out to be the next Maradonna, and we'll all look back and say how sensible Chelsea are for securing his services, but as of right now I don't see him as being twice the player Kagawa is.

Oh FFS. Watching the England U19 match - looks very much like Will Keane has done his knee in some horrible way. Stretchered off and looks genuinely bad.

Just what we need, more injuries. Looking at that - I don't think he'll be playing in September. Looks ACL-type twist.
