Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

C'mon now...Robbie Savage?! Becks is still class...Rumours has it that Arsene Wenger is keen to sign Becks on loan...which will be a shame. If Arsene still see quality in him...why havent Sir Alex, who is like a father figure to him? It will be a swan-song for Beckham too if it happens.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

We have Nani, Park, Obertan, Giggs and Bebe who can play out wide. Beckham will be more like a temporary CM while we wait to sign a more long term solution later on.
I've said this before many times. Beckham IMO would work best when used in a 4-3-3/4-5-1 as the third CM. He does his fair share of tracking back but he can also be another supplier for our attackers. Kinda like Carrick.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Manchester is ran by sheiks  This time we should be afraid unlike City . Mutd could bring on some big names with a blank check and no debts. From £700mil to 0 pence .... Merry Christmas! Rooney wants how much :SMUG: is that all. SHUCKS!Next just sign here _______ . Mutd will look like my UT team .

Hate Glazers!
Love Qatar!

Qatar has changed over night since the WC went their way. 1st w/ Barca . Now, w/ Mutd....Can Arsenal join too :LMAO:

There's been a rumour over the last week or so that a Qatari guy is buying us but I dont think it's true.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah agree - foul, handball but not offside.

Nevermind though, we get loads of dodgy decisions all season don't we?! Jammiest team in the league by a mile cos all the refs are scared of Fergie right?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Same old pathetic approach to another away game. Why its so difficult for the management to retain the same ahape and formation from our previous home games i just do not understand.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

If we had any balls to show a bit more attacking intent in these away games which were there for the taking a cushion of about six points would have been great with a double header against Chelsea and away games to come against Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

The game was there to be won last night and, imo, Fergie bottled it. Anyone and their dog could tell you that Giggs can't run for 90 minutes. And with 84 minutes to go Gibson was standing in the centre circle, hands on hips gasping for air. If only we had any subs left...oh we did!

Then in the 88th minute when we're under real pressure, if only we had a sub left to strategically slow things down, let the team get a breather...oh we did!

It's not the first time this season. Makes me seriously question if there's some weird motive about appearances or something. Cause that was inexcusable.

(btw, United would never, ever get away with that kind of climbing, never mind the handball. But plucky little Birmingham with their plucky little 6'7" beast is allowed to do as they please, because face it, 90% of the country was pleased they let the foul go)

(also, apparently that's the same linesman from Drogba's title deciding goal that was two yards offside last season. If United again lose the league by less than a point, can we get him a winners medal?)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

We can batter teams at home with a normal formation that clearly works and yet just because we don't have our own fans behind us (well, we do actually, our away fans are miles better than the OT crowd), we suddenly feel we can't go on and dominate a game?

Honestly, it was f**king Birmingham, we should've steamrollered them but we had to go with that terrible formation again and it cost us points. Rooney was also gash as well, £200k for that?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

It was always going to be tough with a lack of wingers and for me to have Nani, Park, Valencia missing is just unlucky. They are by far the most threating players from wide positions United have. Who else could have played on the right last night ? Obviously Giggs but he aint as affective has he used to be. Take it on the chin and move on, not really bad position to be in is it!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Its the only way players like Obertan are going to learn is by playing in these sort of games and considering hes shown some good improvement already this season it would have allowed us to retain the same shape and formation had he played. Dont want to over criticize Gibson but he cant play wide and his only real attribute is a good shot.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Nice to see an undeserved win grinded out, away from home, instead of the usual conceding late goals and dropping points we've had this season.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

We need Nani, Valencia or Scholes. Not enough service for our attackers.
Glad to see Carrick starting to pick himself up again though. And goals for Rooney and Chicharito. In a lot of ways, it was a good win.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Exactly, Nani and Scholes especially as they've been our main source of creativity this season and last year it was Valencia who helped Rooney get most of his goals.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

With Berba putting more emphasis on his goal scoring, you can only wonder what he can do alongside Scholes and Nani once we get our full squad up and running again.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Great goal by 'SuperNani', Hernandez's was a great finish, Forget potential just how good is Rafael already!
