Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

He's still gonna be the new Heskey, despite playing very well today.

I was ecstatic yesterday after we rescued that point but the Chelsea result has really annoyed me. I should be happy that they lost and we got a point, but we could've easily beaten both City and Villa and been in a much, much better position had we played even remotely differently.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I'm looking at it a lot more positively. We're still undefeated, we're doing it without so many key players, we're still within touching distance of top spot, and we still have so many key fixtures remaining which also have to be played at home.
Its all good.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah don't get carried away too much guys, it's us that's in crisis remember. The only reason we're not in the bottom half is because the refs are scared of Fergie and we're the luckiest team on earth. Chelsea are the best by a mile and steamroller everyone.

Liverpool lost 2 games 08/09 those draws cost them dearly . I don`t recall seeing Mutd having more than 6 draws in a season much less after 13 games. I tell ya what atm Chels loses at home , Mutd are the drawing kings, and Arsenal loses at home to 2 promoted teams.... nothing out of the ordinary :SMUG: Ancelotti`s planner was stolen by Wilkins the reason why they lost .

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

What an odd season.

Worst 25 minutes I may ever have seen from United there in the second half, but the spirited fight back was worth the price of admission.

Real worry was the complete lack of spark, invention or class from Berba/Chicarito. Concerning.

Oh and, shock of all shocks, Ji Sung Park was terrible. Again. Seems like a lovely guy, but has a first touch similar to mine.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

So the Glazers are paying off the PIK loans apparently, just leaving the bond issue stuff left.

I don't quite understand the whole situation, but you've gotta wonder, where the hell have they got this money from all of a sudden?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Its just their personal money. I thought they always had it but didnt want to use any until now.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

They're actually really wealthy...but I'd suspect the PIK loans are paid for with another, lower interest loan. Good news if true is that Gill has said this is proof that they have nothing to do with United...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I've been trying to watch Atletico games recently just to see what all the fuss is about.

I expected a lot of hype resulting in less than impressive performances, but damn, he's actually very, very good.

I'd welcome him coming here with open arms, so let's just hope he wants to join.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah, as the day went on starting to look like Lindegaarde. Only question is whether he's the Kuszcak replacement and De Gea the VDS one...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Peter Schmeichel doesn't think Lindegaard is good enough for us either. A few sites seem to think we've already arranged it though for £3.5m...

just seen this on twitter:

bensmith_times Ben Smith
Unconfirmed (I stress that) rumour that the Glazers have sold #mufc to Epson, the printing company

bensmith_times Ben Smith
I'd be surprised if Epson 'rumour' was a takeover but the company would not deny the rumour when I spoke to them ... very odd

bensmith_times Ben Smith
Much more likely Epson are extending their commercial tie-up with #mufc but I can't find anyone to deny the rumour ... yet

Looks like this rumour run out quicker than my ink cartridges tbf, probably done to drum up interested for the commercial deal they have with Utd.

I love the internet, not to mention 'journalists' - Epson bought a company called Manu Tech - which makes printer supplies. Hence stories about them buying United ;)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Erm... we're 2nd and equal on points with Chelsea... how have we managed to be placed this highly? Anyone could win the league this season the way it's going.

People are talking about what it'll be like when we're actually playing well, but i'm not totally convinced we have that 2nd gear anymore, certainly didn't see a lot of it last season either. Hopefully we do and we find it before our luck starts to run out.

We do have a few gears we can move up no doubt, Rooney's just back, Valencia, Giggs, Anderson will improve our midfield but the thing which worries me is to see us at our best theirs no doubt Scholes has to play, without him were not the same.

That'd be the miracle of the century...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Well, he'll improve our midfield options anyhow.

Fletcher hasn't been at his best this season, looks like he's feeling the effects of playing week-in, week-out for the last couple of seasons. The fact Anderson's been injured for large parts of the same period probably isn't a coincidence.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Foster and Welbeck have already indirectly both played a big part in helping United become champions.

Chelsea could've done without facing those two in their last 2 matches. They were immense! United's agents are doing a good job! lol

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah, actually starting to get a bit excited about young Danny. Has had a really good run in the Sunderland team (first successful loan deal in ages) and is visibly progressing each month. Now he's starting to add goals to his impressive overall contribution, you'd expect Fergie won't be able to ignore him next season.

With the knives out for Berbatov and Owen, I guess it's possible he'd return to United to be a somewhat bit-part player.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Well Foster's gone but Welbeck should be back next season, he's great talent and it's been obvious for ages just using YouTube.
