Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Buffon will also join you lot next season...Kevin de Bruyne is also being linked and stated "Utd is one of the most prestigious clubs in the world, would be a dream come true"

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I really doubt the Buffon rumors are true. The Kevin de Bruyne dude also said the same about Milan 2 weeks ago. Nothing official.

Would be an awesome signing.
I have said it a long time ago...If we need to break the bank the next time,we should do it for a goalkeeper.

Gigi Buffon if kept fit, could perform at the highest level for another 4 years maximum.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

This Daniel Taylor crap about Bebe is seriously pissing me off. Firstly, this is the same Daniel Taylor that wrote a similarly made up article about SAF losing all faith in Anderson...in 2007, a few weeks after we'd signed him. This is the same Daniel Taylor that assured us, and started multiple rumours earlier this summer, that Vidic was off.

And now he's trying to slaughter some poor 20 year olds career before he himself has even seen the man, because what, he wants to sell some papers? It's ridiculous.

Fact: We signed a 20 year old that doesn't speak English and was playing in the Portuguese 3rd division 3 months ago.
Fact: He did not play in our first reserve match of the season.

That's all we know. There could be a thousand reasons why this is the case, but because Daniel f*ckin Taylor wants to make stuff up, the whole internet has written the lad off. Disgusts me.

All journalists should be rounded up and shot. (except James Richardson, who is the man)

DT said on his twitter feed that he has sources from inside Old Trafford and they've told him as much as that they are disappointed with Bebe's progress. Either way the article is totally over the top and sensationalist but they all are these days.

I think Buffon would be a really good signing. Van der Sar is 40 this season, if Buffon can continue at a high level til that age that means we'd have 7 or 8 years of him!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Hrm, I'll take that. Valencia, Rangers, Bursapor

As long as we take it seriously, we should be fine. Rangers should be a cracker, we don't always do well North of the border! Pity bout the long trip to Turkey, but could be much worse!

Group G is ridiculous.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

The Rangers ties should be fiesty....If I recalled, the last time we beat them at The Ibrox was when a certain Phil Neville scored the winner!

Bursaspor was listed as one of the dark horses in an article found at Goal.com...should be an interesting tie too.

Valencia...thank God, David Villa has left...the youngsters at the Mestalla shouldnt be underestimated though.

Happy and sleepless nights ahead!!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Hopefully Banega can put on a good couple of performances, would love us to sign him.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I think Mutd should buy a striker and forget about Rooney for the moment. Lord knows he`s going through the Tiger Woods syndrome. Any saw this blockade My bet is he was w/ a prostitute I could be wrong but Rooney reminds me of Woods atm.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

That blockade is for Joe Cole it seems, certainly all the details of it seem to point to him.

Thing with Rooney is that every year he goes through a barren spell where he can't score, and usually during that point his general play goes to shit as well.

Problem is, he was injured, and with all the pressure on him last year to lead us to glory, it's mounted up on him and clearly weighs heavily. Then you have to add to extra hundred per cent pressure from the country relying on him to win us the World Cup, and how badly the tournament turned out for him and you've gotta imagine he's hating playing football at the minute.

I'm confident once he scores he'll be fine, but the longer this goalless streak goes on the worse he'll get.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Was a good performance overall I though (2nd half was much improved from the first) Berbatov, Nani, Scholes and Giggs are running our season at the moment.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Vidic was immense too. First time I've been really impresed with him for a while. Carlton Cole looked like he wanted to cry!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

How shite again was O'Shea yesterday?...I reckoned he gave our possession away the most in our last 3 games!

How we all wish Nani can keep up his game for the rest of this season...he was electric yesterday!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I didn't think Nani was as good as he has been, but he still played well.

Giggs, Berbatov, Vidic and Scholes shone for me yesterday.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

They really are getting better and better  I don't really understand how but they are!

Nani should really be starting all our games unless he's rested, he's a match winner and is becoming consistently one our better performers each game

And so far...we have yet to see a player that can put Paul Scholes out of the game...I still cant believe how much room he as to operate...The bad thing is,its getting more and more apparent that we still need Scholesy to pull our strings.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Reports saying today that we are in a bid for Jack Rodwell for 10 Mill Pounds + Michael Carrick.

What is it about Rodwell...hes young and hes english but thats about it? Are we talking about an investment here for the future? We need to boost our ageing midfield now....

Whats worse we are looking to loan Tom Cleverly now out?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Rio survived 45 mins of a reserve outing last night, wasn't on TV so I haven't seen it but am hopeful of getting highlights tonight. Ando played the full 90 - another good sign (though he's definitely a bit porky. we'll call him solid)

Potential for Bebe to play for Portuguese U21 tomorrow against England. Should be on streams for anyone interested, though oddly not on TV in the UK. He's apparently been great in training so there's at least some chance of him getting minutes. Would be wonderful if he doesn't suck, looks pretty good against England and forces these f*cking scumbag 'journalists' to take back their unecessary attacks.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

It's not on TV as Sky are showing all the other internationals on Friday, I don't think it's even on Portuguese TV.

I've been reading Daniel Taylor (who wrote the original 'Bebe is shit' article)'s twitter and he's quite adamant our coaches don't think he's up to much and won't back down. He blocked a load of people for asking him what happened at the friday press conference last week as Fergie banned him following the article, so he's clearly throwing his toys out the pram too!

I can't work him out, he gets dig after dig about Fergie in his articles and on twitter and mentions fairly irrelevant things that aren't even entirely true just to put us as a club down, yet he tipped us to win the league. Weirdo.
