Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

There is a big difference I agree. You have money because you are successful, the way it should be. It wasn't Meant to be be dig, just pointing out you still have spent a lot, which you have every right to Do.

lol is was late..

old habits die hard!!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

And I do believe eventually they'll overtake us. And for a couple seasons they'll jump up and down happily. Then the price of oil will drop/ the Arab owner will get bored/ Platini will introduce a turnover to wages ratio and enforce it and they'll be the new Leeds, bankrupt and lamenting Gary Cook's irresponsible spending.

yeah maybe one day but i cant see it, the clubs just not built for success, once the new owner realises this, (probley after spending best part of a billi£££££) he'll be off!

at least chelsea had already won a few trophies, had big name players (their own ground lol) and were looking to make the step up

city, well you know what they say about gold-plating a turd...

its still a turd!!!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Manchester United have just secured what looked like their best deal of the window so far.Signing for the Premiership runners up is relatively unknown, big and strong centre half from Serbia. The defender signed a 4 year deal to be with United till 2014.Here are some official quotes.

Speaking to United's official website, the player said: "I am very happy to sign this contract. I came to this club when I was young and have developed enormously with the help of the manager, coaching staff and my team-mates."

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson added: "We are delighted he has committed his future to the club. This kills all the silly speculation over the past few months. He has developed into one of the best centre-halves in Europe and we are pleased he will be here for many years to come."

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Nice to see the whole team stable again. I hope we can tighten up the defence now.

Sounds like its a mental barrier that's preventing Anderson from developing. Fergie still has faith in him I guess.
I still reckon he only works for us in a three man midfield or if one of our wingers is either Giggs or Park. Cuz I think he's decent at what he does but doesnt take enough responsibility in the defensive side of things or when we need to hold the midfield. He doesnt seem like someone who can control a game like how a Giggs, Scholes, Rooney, etc can do.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Seems like eagerness to me which is probably a good thing with people questioning if he has the desire to constantly improve and want to play.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Just heard Rooney's out for tomorrow's game, hopefully Hernandez starts along with Berbatov.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Boo hoo we have spent more, were ruining football, our owners going to leave us never mind that he also spending 100s of millions on Manchester itself, we wont gel.. Fancy blaming us for the middle east conflict aswell!!! You all need to get a grip were the bitter ones remember! Net spend iv never heard so much crap!

Well...that was the heart-stopping and nail-biting stuff that was missed sorely.Simply loved it.We did okay considering Fulham beat us 3-1 last season.Hard luck lads..pick it up and bring it onto the next game.

PS: Is Nani our first choice PK taker now?! Seems like a dubious choice considering we had Owen,Berba and Giggs on the field.

exactly. giggs usually takes it right? was a poor penalty tbh. they played brilliantly in the opening period of the first half, but fulham came back into the game. oh well. just hope they can build on that.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Great game. Fulham were superb, and we kept it massively open when we went up. Entertaining stuff, just wish we'd kept our concentration for another 5 minutes or so!

Feel a bit bad for Nani, he was superb when he came on. Yet another of those 'why exactly do we play Park' performances from Ji. And O'Shea has been the worst player on the pitch in 2 straight matches...how long before we let Rafael start learning? He's not going to be worse than Johnny!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

According to bbc.com, Rafael Van der Vaart, who's put on a transfer list said: 'If you are leaving Real Madrid, there is only one club that is not a step down - and that's Manchester United.' Interesting...:PINKS:

P.S. Our former winger Zoran T. had brillant performace last night vs Anothorsis. Scored 2 goals and assisted one time. His dribbles on left flank were wreaking havoc.

I like Tosic, he has perfect left leg, but he too small to play in EPL..

Agreed was a fantastic game for a neutral, I think Park's inclusion was a given since he did tuck in and help our 4 v 5 midfield and Valencia was probably picked to get more sharpness which didn't really work out either.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

We should have loaned him to Barcelona or something.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Talk about mountain out of a mole hill!

Just an excuse for a pop at SAF. 2 paragraphs with no quotes or evidence to back up that Bebe was supposed to play in that match followed by recycled information on the transfer to bulk it out.

So he's not looking so great 2 weeks after coming from nowhere to one of the biggest clubs in the world (with a totally different training culture and atmosphere etc etc) and in a country where he can't speak the language. What a surprise!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Exactly, SAF had already stated we won't rush him and I doubt we'll see him play any games for a while.

Looks like we may be about to step up our chase for Defour apparantly, I hear he's a Deep playmaker in the Alonso/Scholes role. what type of player is he exactly then?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

FreMM on here knows him and said he's already agreed to sign for us in January or next season!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

He said something in the Liverpool thread the other week when one of them said they should sign him and I pm'd him for more detail. Hope he doesn't mind me blabbing!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

This Daniel Taylor crap about Bebe is seriously pissing me off. Firstly, this is the same Daniel Taylor that wrote a similarly made up article about SAF losing all faith in Anderson...in 2007, a few weeks after we'd signed him. This is the same Daniel Taylor that assured us, and started multiple rumours earlier this summer, that Vidic was off.

And now he's trying to slaughter some poor 20 year olds career before he himself has even seen the man, because what, he wants to sell some papers? It's ridiculous.

Fact: We signed a 20 year old that doesn't speak English and was playing in the Portuguese 3rd division 3 months ago.
Fact: He did not play in our first reserve match of the season.

That's all we know. There could be a thousand reasons why this is the case, but because Daniel f*ckin Taylor wants to make stuff up, the whole internet has written the lad off. Disgusts me.

All journalists should be rounded up and shot. (except James Richardson, who is the man)
