Nani was our most dangerous player, but still looks a bit wasteful. Still, showed good spirit to just try and try again.
Putting the words Nani and good in the same sentence doesn't work.
He only had to keep trying again because he's so fucking rubbish.
Typical Nani performance, did everything else well except from when he let go of the ball.
I dont think so, you've forgotten the fact he took a massive reduction in wages to sign for us!
And yes leaving a side who were relegated to play for the team who just won the league (who are also the World Champions) is furthering Michael Owen's career and yes it will also allow him to play football at a high level... but how can you apply that to Tevez leaving us to play for a side not even in European competition?
I love United
Cristiano Ronaldo still watches every Manchester United game on TV and has backed Nani to fill the void left by his Old Trafford exit. Ronaldo revealed his affection for United, despite leaving for a world record £80milion fee in the summer after six years at Old Trafford. "Every time I can I try to watch United's games on television," said Ronaldo. "I still like to know what's happening at Old Trafford. And despite now being at Real, I'm always happy when I know United have won. I've also seen that Nani is playing much more than he was last season. That's good for him and he will benefit from that. Now he has more opportunities to play, he will be able to show the fans just how a great player he is."
I honestly think his move to Madrid was more like his "duty" rather than something he thought would be the best move for his career. You have to remember that Real were quite shit before they signed all these players. Even Liverpool hammered them in the CL so I doubt Ronaldo moved there because he thought it was some kind of huge step forward in his career. I personally think he moved there because it was his late father's wish for him to play for the team, his idol Figo played for them, his family would prefer to live in Spain, and cuz he felt it was his destiny to one day play for them. I'm sure one if he wins everything there, he'll feel his jobs done and will want to come back....whereas Ronnie's dream was always to go to Real, so in his heart, Madrid will always be above United in terms of his affection, unless he has a horrible time at the Bernabau and sees the light.
To be regarded as a "legend", he'll need to come back to us at some point and pick up where he left off.
I like him but I'll never have the same affection for him that I have for guys like Giggs, Scholes, Neville, Ole, Cantona etc, players who came here and had that special bond with the club, whereas Ronnie's dream was always to go to Real, so in his heart, Madrid will always be above United in terms of his affection, unless he has a horrible time at the Bernabau and sees the light.
