Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah but he is officially our player, just on loan at Partizan (?), which is what I thought you meant.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

thats the agreement right now with belgrade

he plays with them until the transfer window then he comes over to united

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Nope. But he's apparently pretty special. Though, where he would fit in our current formation I don't know...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I'm sure Fergie will figure it out. Either stick him on the wing and give him a Ronaldo-type role, or convert him into more of a box-to-box mid like we did with Anderson.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Is anyone on here a member of Redcafe? I changed my email address and my account hasn't been activated after 4 or 5 days so I was hoping someone could notify an admin for me.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Ljajic is in the same situation as Fabio and Rafael were in. Both can't come over until they turned 18. The first window after he turns 18 is Jan 2010.

So we can't rely on him for this season in reality.

Well when was the last time we "relied" on a player that just turned 18? I remember we relied on Rooney a few seasons back but that squad compared to this one is a mismatch.

I think we'll see him atleast 1 or 2 times this season and depending on how he does, such as a Ronaldo or Rooney like debut which shows no fear then he'll stay with the main squad or if he requires a slower introduction he'll probably spend the rest of the season in the reserves before going into the first team the season after like Tosic.

I think his best position is apparantly just off the CF but we don't really see him fitting their in the long term. He's apparantly very quick and a big lad at 6.1. so probably end up on the left or right wings.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I hope all this hype about Ljajic is not for nothing. I reckon it'll be hard for him to join the first team in January. The second part of the season is the toughest and SAF will probably rely on his big guns. He'll most likely stay in the reserve and make a few cameos in easier matches.

Rooney was already awesome before even joining United. It wasn't that much of a gamble. There aren't many quality players who are that young.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Is ljajic much of an arial threat? with the height he has he could be an arial threat like ronny hopefully he will get a few tips from his long lost father vida:P

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

We dont know but we are hoping so because of his height. We didnt think Ronaldo would be an aerial threat till he starts thumping them in.Adem Ljajic has been describe as the 'European Kaka'...that would mean, highly technical on the ball with mazzy dribbles and great vision? From the videos I have seem,he does indeed have those qualities.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

This is a piece of rumour I picked up from team talk.Would be great but could it disrupt what we have in the forward department?

"There really no smoke without fire, First Gullem Balliague saying this week United are going to make a bid for David Villa and he know his stuff. Now check out Manchester Evening News they reporting United are set to make a bid for around 38m which will be accepted. This could just be so Barca or Madrid pay up but Madrid don't want Him and Barca have there other targets so this deal could really happen. Go Fergie"

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Villa's a great player, but seriously? Where's he going to play? Is he going to be happy at OT? I don't see it...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I cant see him going anywhere other than Barca or Liverpool.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Can't see it happening, mate. Valencia, despite their ridiculous debt, are trying to keep their best players, so I think he might be there for at least another season.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Don't think he'll join United as well. Owen's form looks good, not to mention that SAF has high expectations for Macheda and Welbeck. To be honest, I'd rather we give them a chance to prove themselves and not buy anymore forwards.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Didn't Valencia just find someone to finally buy their old stadium (or was it the 'Real Madrid buy out plan - where the Spanish government make all your problems dissappear'? Thought they'd been sorted out, so can keep em.

Guillen Balague knows his stuff??

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Exactly, Balague is just a muppet who uses the scatter gun technique and hopefully one of them happens.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

The guys a joke. He's been rimming the shit out of Liverpool for the majority of Rafa's stint in charge and even Liverpool fans are sick of his bullshit now.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Well that was a very entertaining game against FC Seoul, even better than some of the PL games I've seen last season. It was fun to see how Park was treated like some kind of Ronaldo or Messi, I wish he had scored. :P

Rooney 2
Macheda 2
Owen 2
Berbatov 1

Our strike force looks excellent at the moment and I'm sure they'll all make up for Ronaldo's goals. I just don't understand why some people would want United to get the likes of Aguero, Zlatan or Eto'o (appart from winning more easily in FIFA).

I have to say I love this United team. No ego problems anymore, everyone is giving his best to impress. Hell, even Nani looked good so far. They're playing like a real team and some players are maybe even to unselfish in front of goals. I don't doubt United can retain the title this season and maybe make it as far as the last two years in the Champions League.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

But since when did nani begin to be called a bad player? i don't get it. He barely played last season how do you expect to play when you have ronaldo on your position and rooney on the other side?

Give it a break, let him play and get some confidence because you guys seem to have never played football in your life. Its ESSENTIAL to play in order to gain confidence and show good exhibitions, nani didn't play 2 consecutive matches through all season how can you build up confidence like that?

Be fair to him, i'm not a fan of his show but i can't understand the Nani is awful, a disgrace, should be sold talking, it just isn't fair.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

He can't pass, he's selfish, he's got no vision, he loses the ball and he's not even that quick, so that just leaves a powerful shot, which he has, but he doesn't shoot often enough.

He's not a good player.
